Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1297: I was supposed to be her husband

Startled by his own thoughts, Hector hurriedly took a step back, pulling away from Eloise.

His move made Eloise frown, "Is this you resenting me?"

"No." Hector hastily denied, "I'm just ..."

He couldn't say that he actually wanted to kiss her so badly that he was afraid he wouldn't be able to control it before he backed away. The way he seriously denied it amused Eloise.

"You know what? You used to be all thunder and planning, and you rarely showed the look you have now. But ..."

Eloise looked at him seriously and continued, "I like it when you look like that too."

Hector suddenly lost a little laugh, "Really?"

"Of course, I like you any way you are."

Looking at her with her chin raised and her look of pride, Hector had a moment of special envy for her husband.

Even though her husband was himself.

But without his old memories, whenever she mentioned her husband, he somehow felt like he was talking about someone else. It was a bad feeling.

He didn't like it.

"We have an appointment and you must come to see the baby at Khan family." Eloise said.

Hector nodded, "Well, it's an appointment."

He would definitely replace a way to come to the Khan family to see the baby, with her.

...

Earlene came home and found that Hector wasn't in his room and rushed downstairs to replace the housekeeper.

"Where is Hector?"

The housekeeper looked confused, "Isn't Prince Hector in his room?"

"No!" Earlene was anxious, "Quickly, replace out where the hell he is?"

The butler dared not delay and ordered the servants to search all over the house.

But they searched every corner, but there was no sign of Hector.

"Miss, it seems that Prince Hector is not at home."

"Seems?" Earlene's face was cold, and even her voice was colder, "What do you mean, it seems? If he's not here, he's not here!" The butler hurriedly lowered his head, "Prince Hector is not at home."

"Then where has he gone?" Earlene asked.

"This..." The butler's forehead broke into a sweat.

"Ted, you guys are amazing to even lose sight of someone."

"I'm sorry, I was remiss."

Earlene took a deep breath, "Find it! Send someone out to look, make sure you get the man back."

She thought Hector had snuck away.

After all, with all the fuss over the wedding, he must have remembered something.

The thought that he might have actually run away made Earlene feel irritated.

No way.

She had managed to get him to come to her, and she would never allow him to go back to Eloise.

The butler led the way out to look for the man when the door opened and the man they wanted was outside. Both parties froze.

The butler reacted quickly and turned his head to shout inside, "Miss, Prince Hector is back."

"What's wrong?" Hector walked in and frowned at the agitated butler.

"Where have you been?"

Earlene immediately ran over at the sound of the butler's voice and opened her mouth to question Hector when she saw him.

"I was just out for a walk." Hector looked faint, unable to see that anything was wrong.

"Really?" Earlene was a little skeptical.

"Of course it's true." Hector's brow furrowed, "You don't believe me?"

"No. I just..." Earlene tried to explain.

But Hector cut her off straight away, "I'm a bit tired and want to go upstairs to rest, we'll talk about what we have later."

After saying that, without waiting for Earlene's reaction, he walked past her.

Why had his attitude become a little cold?

Earlene couldn't help but frown.

As he passed herself, a seemingly unmistakable scent ran into her nostrils.

"Wait!" She reached out and grabbed him.

Did she see something?

Hector looked sideways at her without changing his face, "What is it?"

Earlene moved over and sniffed on him, her brow locking, "Why do you smell like that? And... this smell is familiar."

It was as if he'd smelled it somewhere before.

"You're too sensitive." Hector said in a light voice.

He really wasn't right!

Earlene narrowed her eyes and stared hard at him, "Tell me honestly, where the hell have you been?"

"Didn't I tell you? Just out for a walk."

"Nope." Earlene shook her head, "You must be lying."

"Believe it or not, there's nothing I can do about it."

Hector said no more to her and strutted upstairs.

Watching his back as he went upstairs, Earlene's brow locked in a frown, where the hell had he been?

Besides, the scent of him was familiar.

Suddenly, her eyes went wide.

She knew where she'd smelt it before.

It was the scent of Eloise's body.

He had gone to replace Eloise!

Realising something was wrong, Earlene ran quickly upstairs.

Grabbing Hector's hand as he opened the door to enter the room.

"What's wrong again?" Hector frowned, looking vaguely displeased.

He'd used "again".

Was it impatience?

Earlene stared at him coldly, "You went to see Eloise."

It was an affirmation, not a question.

Hector's expression didn't change, "What are you talking about?"

"No need to pretend, I'm telling the truth."

It had only been a day and he was already lying to her about Eloise.

Hector averted his eyes, not making a sound.

Seeing this, Earlene snorted, "Remember what happened before? Want to go back to that woman?"

At that, Hector shifted his gaze back to her face and asked rhetorically, "Would I go back to the Bartram family if I really remembered something?"

Yup.

If he did get his memory back, how could he possibly come back? It would have been back to Eloise long ago.

Earlene told herself not to be angry, to be nice and talk to him.

So she took a deep breath, suppressing the anger inside her, and asked, "Then why did you go to her?"

Hector was silent for a moment before speaking slowly, "She fainted at the wedding yesterday and I was worried, so I went to see her at the hospital." "Worried?" Earlene laughed, a little sarcastically, "What were you worried about her for, because you're her husband?"

Hector asked coldly in return, "I was her husband, wasn't I?"

Earlene's face changed at that comment, "What did you say?"

Did the fact that he would say something like that mean that he had accepted the fact?

"Although I have lost my memory, the fact that I am her husband cannot be changed. For reasons of reason, I should go and see her."

Hector's explanation didn't make Earlene any happier.

"You've forgotten about her, so it's none of your business." Earlene said.

"What about the baby?" Hector asked.

Even if Eloise had nothing to do with him, the child was ultimately related to him by blood, and that was even more irrevocable.

"What exactly did she say to you?" Earlene asked instead of answering.

There was no way his attitude could be like this otherwise, except for what Eloise had said to him.

"Nothing much. Just a quick chat." Hector said lightly.
