Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1312: You'll definitely remember.
"I like mom and dad better."
Sweety said with an extremely serious look on his face as he raised his head.
"Mom likes Sweety better too." Paulina gently stroked his little head and asked shyly, "But, can you give Daddy to your brother yet?". "Sure."
Sweety obediently sat down next to her.
Paulina looked at Esteban and said softly, "Esteban, introduce daddy to the models you put together."
Esteban's eyes lit up as he spoke of his favorite models, and pointing to the models on the table he introduced them one by one.
His words were clear and he spoke in a very organized manner.
Something unbecoming of his age.
He was much more mature than I thought he was.
The way his eyebrows were raised, he was a miniature version of himself.
Looking at Stephen, Mark's eyebrows became softer and softer.
"Dad, would you like to accompany Esteban to assemble a model?" asked Esteban cautiously after the introduction. Without saying a word, Marcos nodded, "Sure."
Esteban was delighted to see him say yes.
Both children were happy and Paulina felt that the melancholy that hovered over her heart had finally dissipated.
She took a deep breath and asked, "Marcos, would you like to stay and eat with us?"
Marcos pondered for a moment before nodding, "Yes."
He didn't want to go back to the Bartram family just yet, not to face Earlene, who was smothering him.
Here he felt more relaxed, and homey, than he had ever felt before.
Maybe this was what home felt like.
"Why don't you two go out to eat as a family of four, a rare opportunity." suggested Dulce.
Paulina then remembered that it had indeed been a long time since the four of them had eaten together, nodded and said, "Okay then, let's go out to eat."
As soon as she heard that they were going out to eat, Sweety immediately asked, "Dad, can I have a hamburger?"
"No!" Paulina opened her mouth first, not waiting for Mark to respond.
"Why?" Sweety scrunched up her little face and pouted, looking at her with distaste.
"Because eating hamburgers is fattening." Paulina raised her eyebrows and made a very exaggerated expression, "Sweety wants to become a fatty?"
"No!" Sweety looked away, "I'm not going to turn into a fat girl."
"Then don't eat a hamburger."
Paulina's next comment made Sweety's face drop instantly and she looked at Marcos with resignation.
Marcos couldn't take it and instantly softened, "Don't listen to your mom, you won't become a fat girl by eating hamburgers and even if you do, you'll still be daddy's little girl."
"Daddy, you're the best." Sweety wrapped her arms around his neck and gave him a kiss on each cheek.
"Marcos, you're spoiling your daughter like that!" said Paulina contritely.
"She's my daughter, who else am I going to spoil if not her?". Marcos said as a matter of course.
Paulina couldn't help but smile.
He had been a bit strange with his two children before, but now he spoiled them a lot.
It was true that blood was powerful.
"Go soon, before the restaurant fills up and you have to wait." said Dulce.
Paulina reached over and took Esteban's hand, "Let's go."
Dulce smiled as she watched the family of four head for the exit and couldn't help but sigh, "It's better to be together as a family."
...
On the way to the restaurant, the two children were sitting in the back seat chatting nonstop, and it was clear that they were really happy.
Paulina turned her head to look at them and looked at the man in the driver's seat, who was driving carefully and with a kind look on his face. She felt as if she had gone back in time.
He always found time to take her and the children out, even when he was busy, and always the family was happy.
Inexplicably, it seemed to her like a lifetime had passed.
She laughed softly and said, "Marcos, thank you."
Marcos froze and turned his head to look at her, puzzled, "Why are you thanking me all of a sudden?"
"No reason, I just wanted to thank you."
Paulina turned her head to look at the road in front of the car and continued, "The children and I have thought about you all the time you were away from us, and now that you're finally back, I'm so happy." He could imagine how hard it had been for her during his absence.
After all, he still couldn't forget how sad she looked when she cried at the airport.
"But... I still have to go back." said Marcos.
Paulina took a deep breath, "It's okay. You can come see us again."
She knew there were things that could not be rushed, they had to be taken slowly.
Him coming to see her and the baby was already a big step.
However, she had more important things to do now.
That was what it would take to get her blood.
Paulina turned her head to look at her hand on the steering wheel with a thoughtful expression.
...
When they arrived at the restaurant, they found a corner seat and sat down.
"What would you like to eat?" asked Marcos matter-of-factly.
Paulina smiled faintly, "You order. As long as you order, the kids and I will like it."
"Yes?" Marcos looked at Esteban and Sweety.
The two little ones nodded vigorously.
Marcos smiled, "Okay, then I'll order."
I don't know if it was something she remembered or if it was just a coincidence that every dish she ordered was actually something she and the kids liked to eat.
"Is that okay?" Marcos asked as he turned his head toward Paulina after ordering.
"Sure." Paulina pressed her palms together and felt the urge to cry.
In fact, deep in her memory, she still remembered her and the baby.
"Daddy, my favorite thing is shrimp meatballs." Sweety said this suddenly.
Marcos raised his eyebrows in surprise, "Really?".
"What I like best are the steamed pork ribs." Esteban interjected.
"Really?" Marcos smiled, "Why do I order almost everything you like?".
"Because you're our dad." said Esteban and Sweety in unison.
Marcos couldn't help but laugh, "Yes, I am your daddy."
Paulina couldn't help but laugh too, "Actually, you asked for my favorite too."
"Hmm?" Marcos looked at her incredulously.
"You asked for all my favorites." Paulina looked deeply at him.
It was then that Marcos realized that it might not be a coincidence, that perhaps her preferences had been ingrained in his mind for some time.
Even if he had lost his memory, he would still, out of inertia, do the same things as before.
"Surely you remember." Paulina said with confidence in her voice as she took his hand in hers.
Marcos smiled, "Well, I hope so too."
Perhaps because Marcos was there, the two children ate a lot, and Paulina ate more than usual.
Watching Marcos gently wipe the two children's mouths, Paulina thought of blood and her eyes fell on the glass on the table.
"Do you want more?" Marcos asked the two little ones gently.
"Mmm." Sweety nodded.
"Have some more then." Marcos put a piece of rib in her cup.
Just as he withdrew his hand, his elbow accidentally knocked the cup to the floor.
