Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1313: You're My Wife
Bang!
The cup fell to the floor, shattering into pieces and sending fragments flying.
Paulina screamed in surprise and bent down to pick it up.
Seeing this, Marcos hurried to pull her back, "Wait, I'll do it."
Paulina's eyes blinked and she said, "No, I'll do it."
As the two struggled to pick up the pieces, Marcos suddenly grunted.
He had cut his hand.
Paulina blushed and grabbed his hand, seeing the blood oozing from the wound, and asked, "Why are you so careless?"
"Nothing, it's just a small cut." Marcos gave her a reassuring smile.
Paulina looked at him suspiciously, "It's bleeding and you say it's fine."
She pulled a handkerchief from her purse and gently wiped away the blood, then pulled out a band-aid and carefully put it on.
A silent apology was offered in her mind.
Mark's eyes fell on her clear, pretty face and he couldn't help himself. seeming lost in thought.
"There." Paulina looked up after putting the band-aid on his wound and looked into his deep eyes, froze slightly and then reacted with a curl of her red lips, "Why are you looking at me like that?" Mark was drawn to the sound of her voice and hurriedly looked away, his ears inexplicably reddening.
Paulina saw him and laughed.
She looked at the handkerchief in her hand, which was already stained with blood, and sighed again, the price she had to pay to get his blood was still a little high.
She folded the handkerchief and put it in her purse, took the chopsticks and put a piece of rib in Mark's bowl. "You've lost weight, eat more."
Marcos looked at her and laughed softly, "You eat more too."
Paulina nodded, "Yes."
...
When they finished eating and left the restaurant, Esteban and Sweety thought they were going to be separated from Marcos, they were pulling his hand left and right, their little baby faces were on the verge of tears. Seeing this scene, Paulina's heart sank and the corners of her eyes moistened slightly.
She curved her mouth and asked softly, "Esteban, Sweety, what's wrong with you?"
"I don't want to be separated from Daddy." whispered Sweety.
"Me too." Esteban replied.
Paulina looked at Marcos.
Only to see that he too had a look of reluctance on his face.
"Why don't you guys go somewhere else where you want to hang out? I can accompany you." Marcos said.
He couldn't tear himself away from them either, he wanted to be by their side the whole time if he could. "Where do you guys want to go?" asked Paulina to the two little ones.
The two little ones looked at me and I at you, thinking hard.
After a while, Sweety raised her hand, "I want to go to a museum."
"A museum?" Paulina was a little surprised, she had thought they would want to go to an amusement park.
"Hmm." Sweety nodded vigorously.
Marcos smiled, "Okay, we'll go to the museum."
On the way to the museum, Sweety whispered in Paulina's ear, "Mommy, will there be any paintings at the museum that Daddy likes?"
Paulina knew what was going on and couldn't help but laugh out loud, "So you want to go to the museum for your daddy?".
Esteban gave a soft "hmm," "Dad might remember something when he sees something he likes."
Paulina sensed that the two little ones were too naive for their own good, but she couldn't bear to disappoint them.
She gently stroked their little heads, "You guys are great."
The two little ones looked at each other and smiled happily at the same time.
...
When they arrived at the museum and bought their tickets, Mark and Pauline walked in side by side, each with a child in their arms.
Along the way, Sweety looked on curiously, novelty written all over her tender little face.
"Daddy, what's that?" she asked, pointing to a statue not far away.
Mark looked in the direction she pointed and his mouth curved as he patiently presented the sculpture.
Whatever Sweety asked, he was able to patiently explain.
There was no hint of impatience on that handsome face.
Paulina looked at them, her eyes warmed slightly, and she felt as if she had stepped back in time, how much better it would have been if nothing had happened. The museum had a special place for people to take pictures and Sweety pulled Marcos towards it, not forgetting to turn to Paulina and say, "Mom, hurry up." Paulina laughed helplessly, "It's okay, it's not like that place is going to run away."
But her and Esteban's pace quickened.
When they reached the photo booth, Sweety opened her arms to Marcos, "Dad, hold me."
Marcos did as he was told and picked her up.
"Mom, come closer." Sweety directed Paulina.
Paulina looked helpless, but obeyed and moved closer to Marcos as Esteban stood in front of the two adults.
The man taking their picture shouted, "Smile and have fun."
At this comment, Paulina and the two children smiled, while Marcos only slightly curved the corners of his lips.
Once the picture was taken, Sweety asked Marcos to put it down and said to Esteban, "Brother, let's leave mom and dad alone for a picture." Esteban nodded approvingly, "Okay."
The two little ones walk hand in hand and say to the photographer, "Auntie, take a picture of my mom and dad."
The other person smiled and nodded, "Okay."
Paulina and Marcos looked at each other and approached each other.
"Dad, hug mom!" suddenly shouted Sweety.
It was pretty quiet all around, and when she shouted that, everyone looked.
Feeling a little uncomfortable at becoming the center of attention, Paulina scolded her quietly, "Sweety, don't be so loud, you'll disturb the others." Sweety pouted aggressively, "I just want Daddy to hug you."
Mark didn't want to see Sweety aggrieved and without a word, he wrapped his arms around Paulina's waist and hugged her close to him.
Paulina turned her head and looked at him with some surprise.
He raised an eyebrow, "You're my wife, there's nothing wrong with that, is there?".
Paulina smiled, "Of course not."
The photographer couldn't help but press the shutter as he watched the scene, they were both so handsome and the image of them looking at each other lovingly was really beautiful. Paulina and Marcos took several pictures in a row and looking at them, Paulina had mixed feelings.
In the photo, she was smiling and happy.
And even though she only had a slight curve at the corner of her lips, you could tell she was happy too.
How she wished that time would stop right here, that he would come back to the Bartram family and stay with her and the children.
It was late afternoon when they left the museum.
The time had come to part.
All the happiness of the day had faded, and Esteban and Sweety's eyes had turned red as rabbits.
"Esteban, Sweety," Marcos smiled as he knelt down and reached up to rub their little heads, "we'll see each other again."
"Dad." Esteban and Sweety jumped into each other's arms.
