Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1326: Regaining Memory?
Paulina froze.
Had she heard wrong?
Marcos sat up and reached out to take her in his arms, his large palm caressing her soft hair, his voice soft, "Paulina, how could I forget you?"
At that moment, Paulina screamed like a child.
Marcos was crying and could only patiently coax her.
Only after a while she slowly stopped, sobbing as she asked, "Have you recovered your memory?"
"Regained your memory?" Marcos looked puzzled.
"Yes. You don't remember any of it?" Paulina's brow furrowed.
Marcos frowned and curved his lips into a helpless smile, "I don't remember."
Paulina looked at him, filled with confusion, what was going on?
How could he not remember he was married one minute and not remember the memory loss the next?
The next morning, Paulina called Almeida and Sener to come to the house.
After they examined him, Almeida looked serious and said, "Paulina, this must be a side effect of the medicine, making the prince's memory a little faulty." "Memory confusion?" Paulina was astonished, "How can that be?".
"It's probably because the medicine was very stimulating and it seems that the prince is recovering some of his memory now, but he may have to be a little patient to get it all back." Almeida's words did not reassure Paulina, as she thought about it and asked, "Is it possible that because of the stimulation he is losing his memory again?"
Almeida and Sener looked at each other and nodded, "Actually, we have that fear too, so we still need your help Paulina."
"What can I do to help?" asked Paulina.
"Stay with the prince, you can talk about what you used to do and let him slowly remember everything." Sener said, "You are the person who matters most to the prince." Paulina turned her head to Mark, who at that moment was sitting in a rocking chair by the window, and his eyes were as soft as if water could come out of them. "Of course I'd like to be there for him."
Hearing that, he withdrew his gaze, smiled and said, "I want to take him to France."
"France?" uttered Sener in surprise.
Paulina smiled, "Well. Those days in France are some of the happiest memories we both have. Maybe he'll remember us more when we're there."
"Paulina, it must be possible." Almeida said.
"I think it will be possible too." Paulina took a deep breath; if she could make Marcos fall in love with her once, she could make him fall in love with her a second time.
The feelings between them were not something that could be erased by memory loss.
...
Paulina booked a flight to France and told Marcos.
Marcos frowned, "Why are you going to France?".
"Because ..." Paulina deliberated, "that's where you found me and Sweety back then."
"Is that so?" Marcos' frown tightened, "Then why don't I remember any of it?"
"Because you've forgotten." Paulina whispered to him, her gaze turning a little sad as she looked at him.
"You have?" Mark struggled to remember, still blank, and finally gave up and apologized, "I'm sorry, I really don't remember."
The sudden apology made Paulina's nose tingle and she tilted her head, forcing back raw tears, squeezed out a smile and said, "It doesn't matter, it doesn't matter if you remember or not, as long as you're there for me." Mark felt moved by her words.
To be precise, he should have been moved by her feelings for him.
In a state like his, she was still willing to love him without a single complaint.
Paulina took a deep breath, "Then we have decided to go to France for a while."
"All right, it's all up to you." Marcos smiled faintly.
...
Mrs. Gloria knew they were going to France and at first she didn't agree because Marcos was having a hard time coming home and she couldn't let him go.
"Mom, you've seen how Marcos is now and then and I'm afraid he'll forget everything again and want to take him to France to rest."
Paulina's reasoning did not go down well with Mrs. Gloria.
"But in case something happens to him in France, how can we help?". Mrs. Gloria remained uneasy.
She turned out to be worried about it.
Paulina smiled faintly, "Don't worry, Mom, I'll take care of Marcos and everything will be fine."
"Mom, don't worry too much. Just trust your big brother and sister-in-law." Alvaro expressed.
Mrs. Gloria sighed, "Fine, go if you have to."
Paulina sighed in relief, "Thanks mom."
"Mom, we're going too." Sweety suddenly spoke up.
"You're going too?" Paulina frowned, "I'm going to take your daddy to get him treated, you guys stay home, okay?" "No." Sweety looked away and pouted, growling under her breath, "We don't want to be separated from mom and dad." "Sister-in-law, let them come with you, maybe it will be easier for big brother to regain his memory with them around." Paulina thought about it and decided that Alvaro's point was not far-fetched, so she nodded, "Okay, we'll go together." Seeing her agree, Esteban and Sweety immediately perked up, making the others laugh.
Ms. Gloria's smile faded at the thought of being separated from them for a while and she sighed, "It's hard for me to be separated again when we've only been together so long." "Mom, we'll be back soon."
Paulina stepped forward and hugged her, "Don't worry, I'll take care of Marcos and the kids and I won't leave you stranded."
Mrs. Gloria patted her back, "Mom will always believe in you."
Paulina released her, with a tickle on her nose, "Thanks Mom."
"Silly girl, don't tell me that. When you come back, our family will really be reunited."
Paulina nodded vigorously, "Mmm."
...
Just as Mark and Paulina were leaving for the airport, the men Rawlins had sent finally found out where Earlene was. "President, the young lady is being held in a villa in the countryside."
As soon as he received this news, Rawlins immediately left his work and drove to the villa.
When the car stopped in front of the villa, Rawlins got out and was immediately greeted by someone. "President, he's here."
"Where is everyone?" Rawlins looked toward the closed door of the villa.
"Inside."
Rawlins looked sideways at the man and rebuked, "Why are you standing there? Go and knock on the door." "Yes!"
The man rushed up, banged loudly on the door and shouted, "Open the door or we'll force our way in!" Those inside heard him and looked at each other, not knowing what to do.
"Open the door!"
The door was banged loudly.
They had no choice but to go over and open the door.
As soon as the door was opened, the people outside immediately came in.
The people inside immediately ran in and stopped them.
Rawlins walked in and checked that they were all Earlene's men, and frowned, "What are you doing here?"
The men looked at each other and lowered their heads, not making a sound.
