Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1327: Then let's try
Seeing that they said nothing, the Rawlin ignored them and went directly to walk inside. But immediately, they were stopped.
"You can't go in there!" Said the other man.
Rawlins laughed, "Why can't I go in there, Earlene's upstairs, isn't she?"
"In short, you can't go in!"
Neither question was answered positively by the other.
Rawlins narrowed his eyes, "Aren't you the ones protecting Earlene, what, betraying her?" There was no answer.
A cold gleam flashed across his eyes and Rawlins blurted out, "Get them!"
At those words, the men he had brought with him immediately rushed forward.
He brought twice as many men with him, and easily brought the other side under control.
"Watch them."
Dropping those words, Rawlins quickly ran upstairs, opening room after room and finally replaceing Earlene in the innermost one.
Earlene was sitting by the window, her back to the door.
Hearing the door open, she said coldly, "Tell the Marcoses that I will never let them go."
At these words, Rawlins' heart sank and he stepped softly into the room, his voice saying softly, "Earlene, it's me."
The familiar voice rang in her ears and Earlene turned her head sharply, aggravation instantly flooding her heart as soon as she saw it was him. "Brother!" she called out.
It was the first time she had ever called him that.
Rawlins, heartbroken and disconsolate, took a deep breath and said as calmly as he could, "I've come to take you home."
Earlene got up and ran to him, jumping straight into his arms and crying loudly.
Rawlins reached up to take her hand, but hesitated.
Finally, he put his hand on her back and stroked her gently.
"Earlene don't cry, Earlene don't cry."
Earlene cried for a long time, as if trying to let out all the aggression she had felt during the time she had been locked up, before slowly stopping. She found herself leaning against Rawlins arms and took a step back.
At this, Rawlins' heart suddenly emptied.
Earlene wiped away her tears, "Thank you."
Her tone returned to its original coldness and aloofness.
"What the hell is going on, how did they lock you in here and how did your people betray you?".
At several questions from Rawlins, Earlene slowly narrowed her eyes, with a baleful look, and spat out three words between clenched teeth, "Marcos!"
Rawlins frowned, "What the hell did he do?"
"He sent me to The Leoz Family," Earlene said without answering his question.
Rawlins nodded, "Fine, I'll take you, but you have to tell me exactly what happened."
Earlene gave him a sidelong glance, "Tell me on the way."
"Okay."
They walked down the stairs together and Earlene cast a weak glance at her original subordinates and said in a cold voice, "Take them back to the Bartram family and wait for me to return to deal with them." At these words, the men's faces paled.
Earlene came out with a grim face.
She would not forgive any of those who had betrayed her.
...
On the way to J-Town, Earlene told Rawlins everything that had happened.
Rawlins couldn't help but laugh as she listened, "So, did Marcos cheat on you?".
"Are you making fun of me?" asked Earlene instead of answering.
This laughter from him irritated her.
"I'm your brother, why would I laugh at you? It just seemed to me that Mark didn't disguise it so well."
At that, Rawlins frowned, "When did you say he figured out something was wrong?"
"It wasn't because of Paulina," Earlene gritted her teeth, her hatred for Paulina bubbling to the surface.
Rawlins eyes flickered, "It really doesn't surprise me that her feelings run that deep."
Earlene turned her head and glared at him angrily, "I'm your sister, don't you feel sorry for me?"
"How do I feel about you?" Rawlins looked sideways at her, "It was your fault to begin with, you shouldn't have forced Mark to stay with you like that. If he's not yours, don't force him."
"I love him! I love him!" Earlene suddenly became emotional, "It's because I love him that I want him to stay with me."
"Okay, take it easy." Advised Rawlins gently, "I know you love him, but you're going about it the wrong way."
"What's wrong?" Earlene scoffed, "I love him and I want him to stay with me, is that wrong?"
Rawlins found it impossible to say for a moment, for the two to argue any longer would only get her more agitated and angry.
"That's right, you can do whatever you want."
Earlene grimaced and said nothing more.
...
When they arrived at The Leoz Family, Earlene didn't wait for the butler to come in to give a report before bursting in.
"Marcos, come here! I know you're in there, get your ass in here!"
He shouted.
Mr. Juan and Mrs. Gloria, who were in the dining room, heard the voice and the two looked at each other and hurriedly got up and walked out.
"Miss, the Great Prince is not at home, you need not shout." She was kindly advised by the butler.
But Earlene did not listen at all and kept shouting, "Marcos, no need to hide, I know you're there, come out right now!".
"What the hell!" shouted Mr. Juan, "What do you take us for, the Leoz family, a vegetable market?"
Mr. Juan and Mrs. Gloria approached Earlene and glared at her.
Rawlins hurried over to her, "Uncle and Aunt, excuse me."
"What are you two doing here?" asked Mrs. Gloria coldly.
"My sister just wanted to come to see Marcos to ask for clarification." Rawlins explained.
Mrs. Gloria looked at Earlene coldly, "What is there to ask? If you are here as guests, you are welcome, but if you are here to cause trouble, please come back!" "Auntie, I ..."
Rawlins couldn't finish before Earlene interrupted, "I want Marcos! Tell him to go out with me!"
"What are you, you tell him to go out with you and he has to go out?" questioned Mr. Juan sternly.
"I saved him in the first place, I'm his benefactor!" Earlene replied nonchalantly.
"A benefactor?" Mr. Juan snorted and his expression turned colder, "How dare you call yourself a benefactor? If it weren't for you, Marcos wouldn't have taken so long to come home. If you have any conscience left, get out of here." "I'm not leaving until I see Marcos!" Earlene was heading relentlessly inward.
"Somebody get her out of here!" shouted Mr. Juan angrily.
The housekeeper and servants immediately moved in to stop Earlene.
"Marcos, Paulina, get your asses out of here!" shouted Earlene loudly.
"That's enough!" spat Mr. Juan, glaring at Earlene with a sullen look. "For the sake of the Bartram family, I didn't mind you hiding Marcos. Now you're going to tear me apart, so let's give it a try."
Earlene was a little startled by Mr. Juan's anger.
She clenched her palms, "I just want to see Marcos."
"Get out!"
Seeing that Mr. Juan was really angry, Rawlins hurried to speak, "Uncle and Aunt, sorry for the inconvenience."
Saying this, he hurriedly pushed Earlene away.
