Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1337: If You Don't Like It, You Don't Like It

Edwina hurried to the restaurant Dulce had mentioned, and as soon as she entered, a waiter approached her and asked, "Is that Mrs. Edwina, please?" She nodded hurriedly, "Yes, it's me."

"Please follow me."

The waiter led her to the private room on the second floor.

"Mrs. Dulce is waiting for you inside."

With that statement, the waiter went downstairs.

Edwina stood alone at the door of the box.

She was shy, but thinking of her purpose, she conveniently pushed open the door and entered.

As soon as Bonnie saw her, she got up and ran to her, "Mom, what took you so long? I finished a big piece of cake."

"You did?" Edwina mustered up her emotions and bent down to gently wipe the cream from the corner of her lips before looking at Dulce, who was sitting on the couch. Dulce looked at her as well, her expression light and unmoving.

"Auntie, if there's nothing else, I'll take Bonnie back." Edwina was so determined to leave in a hurry that she didn't want to talk to her again about her feelings for Edgar. "Come and sit down."

Dulce spoke just as Edwina was about to turn away.

Edwina's heart pounded and her hand tightened around Bonnie's. A smile worked its way to the corner of her mouth, "Auntie, I'm not sitting down. If you have something to say, say it."

Dulce looked at her, shifted her eyes to Bonnie and said with a wry smile, "Your son is very good and understanding."

"Thank you." Edwina wondered what the hell was on her mind and put up layers of defenses.

"It must be hard for you to raise him alone."

"Luckily, Bonnie knows what she's doing, so I'm not having a hard time."

At that, Dulce laughed softly, "It's not easy raising a child, how can it not be hard?"

"I remember when I had Edgar, all my thoughts were on him and I wanted to give him all the best in the world. After all these years, he grew into a man and lived up to his father's expectations and mine and became the best son we could have hoped for."

"And, of course, with such a wonderful son, surely we had to get him the best wife so he could live happily in his life."

Edwina listened in silence, her heart reddening with a touch of bitterness.

By the best wife, she meant Elva, didn't she?

"I'm sure you, Edwina, can understand my bitterness."

Edwina took a deep breath and raised her eyes, staring at her, "Aunt, with all due respect, Edgar and Mistress Elva will not be happy together."

Dulce's face sank a few shades at that.

How dare she not understand anything after all she had said?

Edwina smiled and continued, "Aunt, do you really understand your son?"

"It's not your turn to question whether I understand my son or not!" Dulce coldly lowered her face and looked at her coolly.

"Well, I mustn't question you. But I would like you to put yourself in Edgar's place and think about what he wants most."

Dulce's face sank lower and lower, and she asked coldly in turn, "Are you lecturing me?"

"Tia, I didn't mean that." Edwina hastened to explain, "I just want you to try to accept me. Edgar and I really love each other."

"I'm sorry, but there's no way in my life I can accept you!" said Dulce categorically.

Edwina laughed, a little sadly, "Auntie, am I really that bad?"

"You're not horrible, but not to Edgar," Dulce continued after a moment's thought, "I brought Bonnie here today to tell you that if you don't leave Edgar, I'm not sure what I'll do."

At that, Edwina frowned, "Are you threatening me, Auntie?"

"Threats or warnings are fine, I just want you to leave Edgar!"

"Unless Edgar breaks up with me, there's no way I'm leaving him." Edwina's attitude remained the same.

"So you don't care about your son?" asked Dulce.

Edwina looked at her impassively, "This is a society of laws, Auntie don't interfere."

Dulce snorted, "Then you've never heard that money makes the world go round. Of course I won't do anything to your son, I'll most likely hide him somewhere you'll never replace him." It was an unequivocal threat.

Edwina clung to Bonnie's small hand, a hint of fear evident on her face.

She was.

She was afraid.

She was afraid that Dulce might do something harmful to Bonnie.

"If you can't give me an answer right now, I can let you think about it for a few days."

Dulce acted like he was being magnanimous.

Edwina just felt ridiculous, "Auntie, aren't you afraid she'll tell Edgar?"

"Don't you dare!" Dulce's face paled and she stared at her with a deadly stare.

Edwina curved her lips into a smile, "Of course I dare. Since you want to do something against Bonnie, if I tell Edgar, he'll surely replace a way to protect me and Bonnie."

After saying that, Edwina felt a layer of sweat break out behind her.

She was gambling.

Betting that Dulce would stop giving herself a hard time because of Edgar.

Dulce laughed softly with disdain, "Edwina, do you think Edgar would fight with the family over you? Or do you really want to be a bad woman who ruins harmony in other people's homes?" "If the aunt is afraid that I will ruin her family's harmony, then why is she making things difficult for me."

"How eloquent!" Dulce snorted coldly, "I tell you, Edwina, if you really dare to tell Edgar, I definitely won't forgive you or the boy."

Edwina gripped Bonnie's hand tightly, her little face pale and bloodless.

She knew Dulce would do what she had said she would do, and with the power of the Khan family, it would be as easy as crushing an ant to get to her and Bonnie.

"If you leave of your own free will, I will forgive you and still love you as my own daughter."

Bonnie, who had been quiet, suddenly spoke up, "Grandma Augustina, why don't you like my mother?"

Dulce didn't know how to answer the girl's sudden question.

She couldn't answer that she didn't like her, could she?

"Bonnie, if you don't like her, you don't like her, there's no reason." Edwina stroked Bonnie's head and looked at Dulce, "Auntie, I know what to do, I hope you'll do what you say." "Of course I'll do what I say."

Edwina nodded at her, "We'll leave you then."

Watching her walk out with the baby in her hand, Dulce let out a long sigh of relief.

She didn't want to be the bad guy if it wasn't for the sake of her son's life.

Only this time Edwina would have left Edgar.

As she left the restaurant, Edwina watched the people passing by on the street, a bitter smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

Dulce had already said so, and she didn't want to be so brazen as to stay with Edgar.

For Bonnie's sake, she had no choice.

I Mom, it's okay, you still have me."

Bonnie's words made Edwina's nose instantly sink and she forced herself to smile, "Yes, Mom has Bonnie."
