Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1344: I think you only have eyes for me.

France.

Paulina logged on to the country's social media platforms as usual and saw the news that the marriage between The Terrazas Family and The Boone Family had been called off.

She was shocked.

Had her cousin decided to break up with the Boone family?

And, looking at the comments on the Internet, there was a lot of malice towards Edwina.

Paulina picked up her cell phone, found Edwina's number and dialed it.

When she answered, Edwina's voice rang on the receiver.

"Mrs. Paulina."

"How are you ...?" asked Paulina shyly.

"I'm fine."

Paulina was silent for a few seconds before speaking, "I saw the news on the Internet."

There was silence on the other end of the phone.

Paulina thought for a moment and asked quietly, "Are you really okay?"

The Internet had cursed her so much that she really feared she wouldn't be able to take it.

Edwina laughed lightly, "He and I broke up, what can happen?".

"Broke up? How ...?" Paulina froze.

"Well. Edgar and I weren't meant to be on the same page, and it's better for each of us if we break up sooner."

Paulina thought for a moment and just sighed, "Think it through and you won't regret it later."

"I know." Edwina replied, and with a turn of phrase, she asked, "How are you doing in France?"

"Pretty good."

Paulina smiled at his reluctance to say more, "France is a very romantic country, I think you'll like it."

"Really? Then I must go later."

Edwina's voice sounded nervous, as if something was wrong.

Paulina sighed secretly in her heart, only the person herself knew best if there was something wrong or not, and she, a stranger, could say no more. The two talked for a few more minutes before hanging up.

Paulina thought about calling Edgar, but finally desisted.

It was his business and she couldn't interfere too much.

Marcos came down from upstairs and saw her sigh repeatedly, his brow furrowed in concern, asking, "What's wrong with you?"

Paulina gave him a funereal look, "My cousin and Edwina broke up."

"Oh."

Marcos was a bit of an outsider to both Edgar and Edwina and didn't care about their breakup.

"Aren't you curious why they broke up?" asked Paulina in amazement.

A normal person would have followed up with "why did they break up?" but not him, just "oh."

"No." Marcos answered truthfully.

Paulina sighed, "Okay."

Even though she had amnesia, she was as indifferent as ever to irrelevant matters.

"What about Esteban and Sweety?" asked Paulina.

"They're both upstairs playing."

At the mention of the two children, Marcos' nondescript demeanor took on a little more tenderness.

"So what do you want to do?" asked Paulina again.

"Keep you company."

Simple, blunt words.

Paulina's heart filled with excitement and the corners of her lips couldn't help but lift. "Would you like to see a dog and pony show with me?". Marcos nodded, "Of course I would."

But he soon regretted it.

"The lead and the second one are too cute, one dominant and the other warm. If it were me, I wouldn't know how to choose." Paulina stared at the TV for a split second, and even analyzed it closely. The corners of Mark's eyes twitched and he reached for the remote control on the table.

One press and the TV turned off.

"What are you doing?" Paulina turned her head and glared at him.

"It's not nutritious." Marcos spat coldly out of his mouth.

Paulina made a puzzled face, "Just a love soap opera, what do you want it to be nourishing?"

Marcos grimaced, without uttering a sound.

Paulina felt he was not right and thought hard about whether she had said something wrong to upset him.

This thought immediately occurred to Paulina.

He wasn't upset because she had said that the male lead was handsome, was he?

Paulina couldn't help but laugh out loud, coughed slightly again to stifle her own laughter, and asked coyly, "You're not jealous, are you?"

Mark's eyes flickered slightly and he didn't answer.

"Pretty jealous, huh?" Paulina couldn't contain herself any longer and let out an uncontrollable laugh, "Marcos, that's just someone from a TV show, I was just paying him a compliment and you took it to heart." Marcos looked a little uncomfortable.

"In my heart, you're the most handsome." Paulina curbed her smile and said with a straight face.

It was also true that the male lead was certainly handsome, but he was still several steps behind Marcos' face.

Marcos smiled and reached out to take her hand in his arms, "I think you only have eyes for me."

Paulina moved closer to his chest and hooked her arms around his neck, "From the beginning, you've been the only one I've seen."

They embraced in silence, neither of them saying anything.

Just then, a child's voice broke the silence.

"Daddy, Mommy."

It was Sweety.

She stomped down the stairs with a loud stomp and Paulina was quick to shout, "Slow down, you're going to fall."

Sweety ran up to them, pouted and said, "I'm hungry."

Paulina looked at the wall clock and realized it was already snack time.

"Mommy will go make the cake for you."

With that, she got up and headed for the kitchen, not forgetting to explain, "Go and call your brother to come downstairs." "Okay!" Sweety stumbled upstairs.

Mark, who was sitting on the couch, looked in the direction of the kitchen, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

In the time he had been in France, he had felt a happiness he had never felt before.

Simple, pleasant, with a smoky atmosphere.

She loved these days.

...

In a bar somewhere in Kyoto, the music is loud enough to turn heads and the dance floor is full of men and women gyrating to the music. Earlene sits at the bar and throws her head back for a drink.

Seeing her, the bartender says, "You've had enough to drink, miss."

Earlene's eyelids fluttered up and a hint of distaste appeared in her foggy eyes as her red lips parted, "What, are you afraid I won't pay if I'm drunk?" "That's not what I meant ..."

Before the bartender could explain himself clearly, Earlene raised her hand and threw a wad of bills in his face.

"I'm telling you, the last thing this lady needs is money!" Earlene picked up her glass and slammed it down on the bar, "Pour my lady a drink!" No one would have a problem with money.

Neither did the bartender.

He quickly collected the money and filled her glass with wine.

Earlene took it, looked at the wine in her glass and the corner of her mouth curved up, "As long as she's drunk, I don't mind anything anymore." After saying that, she tilted her head to one side and drank the wine from her glass in one gulp.
