Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1343: You Have Nothing to Do With Me
As Elva emerged from the Khan Group building, the reporter, who had been hiding, ran up to her.
"Ms. Elva, I'm a reporter from Search Entertainment, can you give me a moment?"
Elva opened her mouth to tell her to get lost, but then thought about her cancellation. "Sure."
If Edgar wouldn't go easy on her, she wouldn't go easy on that bitch Edwina!
...
At about the same time, Edgar and Elva's visitors came on the line.
One said she never liked Elva from the beginning and was already in love with someone.
Another accused Edwina of being the third person to break up with her and Edgar.
The Internet was filled with sympathy for Elva and shame for Edgar's actions.
Edwina was also singled out on the Internet.
Some people went so far as to say without proof that Edwina had been a mistress and that her current son was the child of her former lover. As soon as the story was revealed, Edwina was further rebuked on the Internet.
"Edwina, you and Bonnie should be away from home these days." said a concerned Edwards on the other end of the phone.
Edwina slid the mouse over and calmly looked at the various nasty curses against her on the computer screen.
At first, when she saw it, she was angry and immediately cleared up.
But soon she was drowned out again by the waves of curses.
And her mood gradually calmed down.
"You don't have to worry, I'm fine."
"Really?" Edwards was still unsure, "Why don't I come and keep you company."
"No, Bonnie and I are fine." Edwina declined his kind offer.
She knew she was in the public eye, and if he came to keep her company, someone might see him and make up a story about their relationship.
It was better to do more than that.
"So call me if anything happens."
Edwina said "yes" and hung up.
She looked at her laptop screen and raised her hand to cover it tightly.
The online comments were so one-sided that someone had to be leading the charge.
And the answer to who that person was was clear.
It was Elva.
While the Boone family was not as good as the Khan family, they were still a prominent family in Kyoto, and there was no way she could compete with them. She could only lie there and let them scold her.
Thinking about this, Edwina felt sad.
Would she have chosen to stay with Edgar if she had known she would have to do so today?
The answer was yes.
She had never regretted it.
Edwina got up and was about to go to her room to check on Bonnie when someone on the Internet illegally went online and found the school Bonnie was in and sent a message to the school principal to expel Bonnie. The school, to keep things calm on campus and protect Bonnie's emotions, told her to take Bonnie home for a few days and wait for things to calm down before resuming classes.
Just then, there was a brief knock at the door.
Edwina frowned, stood on tiptoe and headed for the entrance.
Peering through the cat's eye in the door, she saw no one.
Thinking someone had knocked on the wrong door, she turned around and the knock sounded again.
He hesitated and approached the door.
As soon as he opened the door and saw the scene outside, his whole body froze.
There was no one outside the door, but the walls had been splattered with red paint and the words "Mistress Slut" written in large letters.
It was a shocking red.
She took a few seconds before slamming the door, her body shaking against the panel as if her strength had been sapped from her.
It was horrible.
More than that, it had almost crushed her self-esteem.
She threw her head back, tears of anguish in her eyes.
Why did she have to suffer such an insult when it was clearly unwarranted!
With this in mind, she reached up to wipe away her tears and went into the living room, picked up the cell phone on the table and dialed Edgar's number.
He immediately answered, "Edwina."
"Edgar, are you rich people all bullies? Why do you want me to pay for what happened to both of your families?"
His tone was urgent and agitated.
Knowing it was because of the insults that had been hurled at him online, Edgar gently reassured her, "Don't worry, I've asked Ivor to take care of it, he'll be fine soon."
Could he dismiss the insults she had received with a nonchalant "no problem"?
Edwina was so full of grievances that she took a deep breath and pleaded, "Edgar, will you let me go? We've broken up, no more relationship. Don't mention me in any more interviews you give." "I'm sorry." Edgar was heartbroken, "I will now approach you, trust me, I will take care of this matter."
"Don't come here!" Edwina was angry and helpless, "Are you afraid I haven't been scolded enough?" "Edwina, I..."
"If you really want the best for me, you will tell everyone that you have nothing halfway with me." "Edwina, I love you, I couldn't say something like that."
"You love me?" Edwina lowered her eyes in despair, "I can't afford your love."
With that, the phone hung up.
Edgar stared at the screen in disbelief, this time Edwina was really determined to break up with him.
She was absolutely not going to let this happen.
He got up and prepared to leave, when Ivor pushed open the door and rushed in, panic written all over his face.
"President, it's not good, they've thrown paint on the place where Madam Edwina lives."
"What?" Edgar's face suddenly changed.
Ivor hurried to hand him the phone..
At the sight of the red letters, Edgar's face went cold and a stern aura radiated around him.
"By the time our men arrived, they had already poured paint over it." explained Ivor, fearing that he might blame himself for his own misconduct.
Edgar finally knew why Weed had been so angry on the phone.
He dropped into his office chair, had he really done something wrong ...?
He had only wanted to fix the marriage once and for all, but how had it come to this?
The most innocent Edwina had received the most curses.
"President, are you all right?" Ivor looked at him worriedly.
Edgar pulled himself together and asked in a gravelly voice, "Has everything on the Internet been resolved?"
"It's resolved, most of the comments have been deleted. And after the investigation, it was someone who bought a water power to up the rate of the calls to Mrs. Edwina on the Internet." Edgar narrowed his eyes, a cold look on his face, and a cold voice came out of his mouth, "Elva!".
Ivor shuddered, Elva was really pissing off the president now.
It looked like the Boone Family would be out of luck.
