Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1342: Good for you

When Elva saw the news of the union's cancellation, she was so angry that she swept all the things from her dresser onto the floor. The maid, who was cleaning, was so startled that she immediately stopped moving and lowered her head, not daring to say a word. "Edgar, good for you!" Elva's eyes were red with anger and the words were almost coming out of her teeth.

She stood up abruptly and walked out the door.

She was going to replace Edgar and ask him to his face what he had done to the Boone family. What had he done to her, Elva?

She hurried down the stairs, just in time to hear her mother on the phone.

"Sweet, Edgar has gone too far this time! The Boone family may not be as nice as your Khan family, but you don't bully people like that!

I don't care, if you don't give us a reasonable explanation, our Boone Family will definitely not give up!"

After saying that, Elva's mother angrily hung up the phone, looking at Elva standing not far away out of the corner of her eye, she hurried over to her. "Elva, don't worry, Mom and Dad will see to it that the Khan family gives us an explanation!".

Elva scoffed, "Mom, do you think Edgar will give us an explanation?"

"He doesn't dare not give one!" Elva's mother narrowed her eyes angrily, "If he doesn't give it, we won't end the Khan family!".

Since Edgar had the courage to issue a press release, it meant that he didn't care about the Boone Family at all and wasn't afraid of them. Thinking about this, Elva's heart burned more and more.

"Mom, I'll go ask her for clarification."

"Elva!"

Elva's mother arrived too late to stop her, so she watched her leave.

"Hey!" Elva's mother sighed loudly, "What the hell is that Edgar doing? It's really too much!"

Edgar finished his interview and had just left the conference room with the reporter when he saw Elva storm out of the elevator.

The reporter's eyes instantly lit up at the sight of Elva.

A scoop!

A huge scoop!

But before she could rejoice too much, she heard Ivor's cold voice ringing in her ears, "If you dare to write anything other than the interview given by my own CEO, wait until you receive a letter from the Khan Group's lawyers." With this warning, the reporter could only put aside his petty calculations and hurried toward the elevator with his head down.

"Chairman, do you want me to get rid of her?" asked Ivor.

Seeing how aggressive Elva was coming, the president was sure there would be less trouble.

"No need." Edgar turned casually and headed toward the office, as if he hadn't seen Elva.

"Edgar!"

Elva was quick to stop him, asking in a curt voice, "What the hell do you mean?"

Edgar didn't even look at her, his tone was cold, "What the news means, I mean."

"Edgar!" Elva's voice rose an octave, so high-pitched that the others in the room almost covered their ears.

Edgar's face remained unchanged, cold to the core, "Ivor, dismiss your guest."

And so, he stepped around Elva and walked straight into the office.

Elva turned to go after him, but Ivor was quicker and blocked the door, a smile on his face as he said politely, "Mrs. Elva, Mr. Edgar is busy, please come back." "Fuck off!" Elva glared at him.

Ivor immediately withdrew his smile and his tone stopped being polite, "Mrs. Elva, you are at least a famous girl, it wouldn't look good if the security guards came to kick you out!". Elva acted as if she hadn't heard him, "Go away!".

Ivor didn't move a muscle.

"I said go away!" Elva screamed like a madwoman and elbowed Ivor hard in the stomach.

Ivor arched his back in pain.

Elva took the opportunity to open the door, ramming it open and rushing in.

Ivor was caught off guard and fell to the floor in a heap.

Edgar frowned at the sight.

Ivor got up hurriedly and tried to stop Elva despite the pain.

At that moment, Edgar spoke, "Ivor, come out."

At that moment, Ivor hurriedly slowed his feet and looked at Elva with concern, "President ..."

"Come out!"

Ivor could only exit obediently, looking worriedly at Edgar as he closed the door before locking it behind him.

Seeing Elva's crazed energy, he genuinely feared that the president might be in danger.

So he stood in the doorway, watching the movements inside.

"Elva, you've known for a long time that I don't like you and you know very well that it's impossible for me to marry you." Without waiting for Elva to open her mouth to ask, Edgar was the first to speak. "Don't talk so pretty, everyone knows you're doing it for that slut Edwina!".

At the mention of Edwina, Elva could barely hide the hatred on her face.

If Edwina were in front of her right now, she would definitely pounce and tear the person apart.

If Edwina was in front of her right now, she would have ripped her apart - she was really tired of stealing from Edgar!

Edgar frowned, "This has nothing to do with Edwina, without her I wouldn't have married you! And keep your mouth shut."

"Edwina is a bitch, Edwina is a bitch, Edwina is a bitch!"

Elva said it several times on purpose, watching her face turn ugly, and a slight pleasure rose in her heart.

"Doesn't that piss you off? That's right, as pissed as you are, so am I now."

Seeing Elva's uncomprehending look, Edgar felt there was no point in continuing with her, so he said directly, "I know that the cancellation of the union will also have an impact on the Boone Group, and in the future, the Khan Group can give two points in concessions on projects with the Boone Group."

"Do you think the Boone Group needs this little favor?" Elva laughed angrily, "You have no respect for the Boone Family, nor for me!"

Edgar laughed and asked in turn, "How else am I supposed to respect you and the Boone Family?"

"The union is between two families, why do you have to issue a press release saying it's cancelled? Have you asked me and the Boone Family what we want?" Edgar did not respond.

Elva became even angrier, "Say something! What the hell do you take me and the Boone Family for?"

"My opinion is clear, union is no longer possible!"

After hearing Edgar's words, Elva clenched her palms together and gritted her teeth: "Edgar, you are so cruel! I tell you, I won't let it go."

With these words, Elva turned and left.

When she opened the door, Ivor, who was outside, startled and looked at her in disbelief.

"What are you staring at! Get out of the way."

Ivor hurriedly stepped aside and watched her leave before turning his head to look back into the office, right into Edgar's dark, inky eyes. "What can I do for you, President?"

"Find me some men, ones with good hands and brains."

Ivor froze for a moment and asked, "Looking for bodyguards?"

"More or less."

Edgar's eyes were dark as he explained, "When you replace them, tell them to go protect Edwina and the others."

Ivor understood instantly.

The president was worried that the Boone Family and Elva would turn on the president's future wife in a fit of anger. He was quick to answer "Yes" and rushed to do so.
