Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1368: You're not wrong!
"I don't want to, I want out now!" Earlene oohed and aahed and yelled at Officer Natal, "I'm telling you if you don't let me go today, I'll make a scene until you let me go." With those words, she grabbed the cup lying on the table and slammed it to the floor, picking up a shard and aiming the tip at his neck.
"If you don't let me go, I'll die for you!"
At her threat, Officer Natal scowled fiercely.
"Earlene, don't be impulsive. I'll replace a way to get you out."
Rawlins tried to reach over and take the shard from her hand, but as soon as she took a step, Earlene yelled, "Don't come any closer, I'll stab you if you do!" Rawlins blushed and hastily withdrew her foot.
Officer Natal looked at her coldly and angrily reprimanded her, "Earlene, you know what this place is like!"
"I know." Determined to get out, Earlene added, "I'll stop making a scene if you let me out!".
"It's all a matter of evidence, and if you can prove your innocence, they'll naturally let you out."
"Then I'll die here!"
Earlene's hand was so hard that the tip of the shard sank into her skin and blood gushed out.
"Earlene!" the Rawlins couldn't care less and he lunged at her and grabbed her hand hard enough to rip the shard out of it.
He was just trying to scare the Natal officer and didn't really use any force, he just broke the skin a little.
But Rawlins was still angry and yelled at her, "Are you crazy, can't you think before you do something?"
"I told you I'd replace a way to get you out, can't you stay even one night?".
"Yes, I just can't!" Earlene turned her head and said with a straight face, "I'm not guilty of anything, so why should I be detained?"
Earlene felt so aggrieved that she just wanted Marcos back.
Had he done something wrong?
No.
Not at all.
Seeing her eyes redden, Rawlins heart squeezed, she took a deep breath and softened her tone, "It's just for one night, I'll come take you home tomorrow."
It had come to this and Earlene knew the police would not compromise if she made any more noise.
So she compromised.
"Okay, just for one night."
Rawlins turned her head toward Officer Natal, "Could you get someone to help her with her medication?"
Officer Natal nodded, "Okay."
Once Earlene was medicated, Rawlins uttered a few more words of reassurance before leaving with the attorney.
...
Eliazar and the others searched in and out of the villa where Earlene lived several times, leaving no corner untouched, but Augustine was still nowhere to be found.
"Brother, where exactly do you think Earlene hid her aunt?". Alvaro couldn't understand how a large, living person could disappear without a trace.
"What is Earlene's situation now?" asked Marcos instead of answering.
"In custody."
Marcos pondered for a moment, "Getting back to Earlene's whereabouts and that of her men might lead to something."
It dawned on Alvaro, "Brother, I know what needs to be done."
He immediately contacted Eliazar and told him to do what Marcos had told him.
After receiving the order, Eliazar began to investigate the surveillance around the villa and discovered that Earlene's men's car had returned late to the villa on the day Agustina and Mrs. Gloria were kidnapped. Following this lead, Eliazar soon discovered that the car had visited a housing development that was being developed.
The former residential area was being demolished and dust was flying everywhere.
When they arrived, Marcos looked around, narrowed his eyes and ordered in a deep voice: "Find it!".
"Yes!"
Eliazar led the men from house to house, and at the end of the search, there was only one three-story house left to replace.
Looking at the house, Marcos faced the grave a little, knowing full well that if he didn't replace anyone this time, the trail would be broken once again.
But the reality was harsh.
They searched up and down several times, but there was still no sign of Agustina.
The atmosphere was becoming increasingly gloomy and just as they were about to give up and leave, someone inadvertently spotted a secret door. "What is this?"
Eliazar was the first to react and shouted, "Don't go in there yet."
He had a strong feeling that they were about to replace someone.
Some people came in and were surprised to see that the house had a basement.
Since it was being demolished, the water and electricity had been cut off and the basement was dark.
They turned on their cell phone flashlights and, in the light, saw a dark figure in a corner and hurried closer, with the light on.
"It's Paulina's mother!" Someone exclaimed.
Agustina was lying on the floor, her hands tied behind her back, her mouth taped shut, her eyes tightly closed and she appeared not to be breathing. Eliazar knelt down and reached out to probe her nose.
"Great Prince, the man may have fainted." Eliazar stood up and informed Marcos.
Marcos breathed a sigh of relief, stepped forward and lifted Agustina, striding out and ordering, "Call an ambulance."
