Love Comes To Me
Chapter 139: The Lawson family's mother-daughter trap

Hector Rogers then went about his work, he had some things to hand over to Reeva Lawson, the assistant sniffed and spoke up, "President, Miss Reeva is home sick and resting today."

At that, Hector Rogers remembered that he had left her at the party yesterday and after a moment's thought, he pursed his lips and said, "Get some supplements and food for the Lawson family later." "Yes, President." The assistant answered, and then left the office.

...

And at that moment, the Lawson family, Reeva Lawson was sitting on the sofa in her housecoat watching TV.

She wasn't actually sick at all, she was just in a bad mood.

Last night Hector Rogers recklessly left her behind and chased Eloise Thompson away, and there was some gossip at the party that Hector Rogers had someone in mind, but that she, Miss Reeva, was the one who had been pestering him backwards, and that there was no such thing as the two of them getting married.

Reeva Lawson came home last night in a very unhappy mood, expecting to be alone with Hector Rogers at the party last night and be the envy of all, but who would have thought that that bitch Eloise Thompson would be at the party, and because of her presence, make Hector Rogers leave himself who could have imagined that Eloise Thompson, the bitch, would turn up at the party and, because of her presence, make Hector Rogers leave himself behind.

So she stayed up all night and didn't bother to go to work this morning.

Reeva's mother sat next to her and said, "That's just a little girl who's not on the stage, don't be angry with her."

"Mum, how can I not be angry, you don't even know, people at the party last night were looking at me like I was a joke, everyone was saying something about how I, the Lawson family's eldest daughter, was no better than the Thompson family's outcast daughter, do you think I can't be angry?"

One minute everyone is saying that Reeva Lawson and Hector Rogers are perfect for each other, and the next minute Hector Rogers is going out after another woman.

"Mum, I'm wondering now if she Eloise Thompson is doing it on purpose, where Hector is she's there, every time she turns up she causes trouble, she must just be seducing Hector on purpose."

Reeva's mother's gaze sank slightly, "Good one Eloise Thompson, I don't believe we can't cure her yet."

Reeva Lawson doesn't want to teach Eloise Thompson a lesson, but with Hector Rogers defending her so well, it would be a shame to replace out what she did...

"Reeva, don't be afraid. Your Auntie Matriarch is coming over later, so mention it then and know that the Rogers family is not high on anyone's list and besides, your Auntie Matriarch hates that girl and if she replaces out about this, it will be bad luck for her Eloise Thompson for sure."

At these words, Reeva Lawson's gaze flickered slightly.

Yes! Why hadn't she thought of that?

Just then, the butler came in to report.

"Madam, Matriarch Godbold is at the door."

Reeva's mother stood up and spoke in a rush, "Come on in."

But a moment later, Matriarch Godbold entered, dressed in a beige dress, generous and elegant, revealing a noble air all over.

Reeva's mother had tea and snacks brought over to serve, and Reeva Lawson stood up and greeted her with a smile.

"Auntie."

Matriarch Godbold's eyes flashed with surprise at the sight of Reeva Lawson and he asked, somewhat puzzled, "Reeva's home too! You didn't go to work today? Is something wrong?"

"Nothing, auntie, just a little unwell."

Matriarch Godbold, a little surprised, came forward and said: "Not feeling well? Why didn't you hear Hector mention it? I heard you two went to a party together last night, did the boy not take care of you?"

Reeva Lawson smiled and spoke up in a rush, "No, it's probably the change of season and all a bit cold, it's none of Hector's business."

Reeva's mother sat back and grunted, "You just help him cover up!"

Matriarch Godbold heard that something was wrong and she frowned slightly as she spoke up and asked, "What's going on?"

Reeva's mother hesitated for a moment, but finally took Matriarch Godbold's hand and said, "Actually, Reeva doesn't like me to bring this up, but I think both our families have the idea of getting the two youngsters together, so we'll spread the word."

On hearing this, Matriarch Godbold became even more puzzled.

"That's natural, what the hell happened last night? Did we at Hector not take care of Reeva properly?"

Reeva Lawson stepped aside and gave Reeva's mother a pretend tug.

"Mom, stop it." After saying that, Reeva Lawson looked at Matriarch Godbold again and spoke, "Auntie, it really wasn't anything last night."

Matriarch Godbold was not convinced and looked at Reeva's mother and asked directly, "Like you said, both of our families want the two to be together, so naturally some things have to be spread out, and if this Hector really did something to bully Reeva, I will not let him off the hook when I get back."

Mother and daughter sang and sang and finally spilled the beans in front of Matriarch Godbold.

"Actually, yeah! It's not like Hector was bullying Reeva or anything, it's just that Miss Eloise showed up at the party yesterday too."

Matriarch Godbold's face changed as Miss Eloise referred to Eloise Thompson, who was also at the party?

Reeva's mother saw this and continued, "At the party Hector and Reeva were having a good time but Eloise Thompson seems to have had another confrontation with the Thompson family or the Gardner family and pushed her sister, who was pregnant, and Then came the stomach ache ..."

"I don't know exactly what happened, in any case things got pretty big, then Hector stepped in and relieved her, Miss Eloise left the party and I think asked Hector to accompany her out for a walk, the two of them left, and we Reeva just ... you also You know, everyone on the outside thought Hector and we Reeva were a couple, but he left the party in public with another woman, and we Reeva were embarrassed anyways."

After hearing this, Matriarch Godbold's entire face sank.

Good for Eloise Thompson for promising herself no more dealings with HectorSolomon on the surface, but behind the scenes...

And asked Hector to go with her for a break?

Seeing Matriarch Godbold's face, the corners of Reeva Lawson's mouth ticked slightly, as did Reeva's mother, but her mouth still said, "I like this boy Hector quite a bit too though, and if he does get together with Reeva, we Lawson family are very relieved, but Hector really likes that little girl ... and we Reeva will give our blessing for them to be together."

Matriarch Godbold immediately spoke up, "No way, Hector couldn't have been with her, Reeva, last night was wrong for our Hector, I'll be sure to give him a good talking to when I get back."

How could Matriarch Godbold, as he is now, have approved of Eloise Thompson and Hector Rogers being together.

Hearing that, Reeva Lawson was in a better mood and the corners of her mouth ticked slightly; as long as Matriarch Godbold was on her side, she, Eloise Thompson, didn't stand a chance. She didn't believe that she couldn't beat an outcast Thompson family daughter.
