Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1420: Starting to fight back

"Esteban, are you okay?"

Paulina nervously checked Esteban's body up and down. "Mami, I'm fine." Esteban felt guilty seeing her so tense.

All this time he had been worrying his mommy.

"Is she really okay?" Paulina looked at Marcos in disbelief.

Marcos nodded, "She really is fine, it's just that she ate badly and threw up."

"So it was a bad meal." Paulina sighed in relief and looked at Esteban seriously, "Don't eat anything out in the future, okay?" Esteban nodded, "Yes."

Paulina's face eased and she asked, "Will you be hungry?"

"Yes."

Not only had Esteban thrown up, but he hadn't even had time to eat his lunch.

"Come on, go home, Mom will make you some porridge for lunch."

They hadn't been home long when Alfredo arrived.

"Alfredo, what brings you here at this hour?". Paulina looked at him suspiciously and then at Marcos.

"A business matter to report to the prince." Alfredo replied with a smile.

"Let's talk in the study."

Marcos turned and led the way upstairs, not wanting Paulina to know as much as he did, so she wouldn't worry too much.

Alfredo nodded to Paulina and quickly followed her.

Once inside the study, Alfredo immediately reported his replaceings.

"Prince, what happened to the young prince recently was not a coincidence, but someone could have done it."

"It's true." Marcos made an astonished face, "Did you replace out who it was?".

"I found out that one of the shareholders of the film and television company the crew went to for filming at the Little Prince's school was Chris."

"Chris?" said Marcos, a little surprised.

Alfredo nodded, "Well, Chris."

Marcos narrowed his eyes, "So what's happening today?".

"We haven't heard about today yet." Alfredo tilted his head, "But don't worry Prince, I'll replace out as soon as I can."

"If Chris had anything to do with what happened at the school, then today's must be.... Nine times out of ten, he had something to do with it too." Marcos said in a gravelly voice.

"That crew was temporarily changed to go to the Little Prince's School to film and had chosen another school, so ..."

Alfredo had been able to verify that this had been deliberately arranged by Chris.

Chris and the Bartram Group had recently joined forces to attack the Leoz Group relentlessly, and if that was the reason for turning the tables on a still small child, it was really too malicious an intention! "Prince, we absolutely cannot go back to turning a blind eye like before!" Alfredo was furious.

Marcos laughed coldly, his voice was like frost, "If you are targeting the Leoz Group, I can forget it, but if you dare to target Esteban, I won't let you go!"

Alfredo swallowed saliva as he felt the aura emanating from him, now Chris and the others would finally see what the prince could do.

Let's see if they dare to behave like that again!

Something suddenly occurred to Alfredo, "Prince, I heard that Chris and the others are planning to take the bidding for the E-Town grounds recently." Marcos narrowed his eyes and ordered in a cold tone, "Stop them, stop whatever project they are involved in."

"Yes." Alfredo thought for a moment and asked, "And what do we do if the other companies that have joined the Bartram Group try to stop us?"

"What do we do?" Marcos hooked his lips into a sneer, "Just by helping them, you are making an enemy of the Leoz Group, then don't blame me for dragging them down, any of them." The Leoz Group had never been afraid of anyone!

Previously, he had not dealt with the Bartram Group because of the favor Earlene had done him to save him, but this time, they had stepped into his line.

Whether it's the Bartram Group or Chris, he won't let anyone get away!

...

For the E City site, the Rawlins and Chris are on the take.

And today was the bidding.

However, they had already taken care of everything, and if there were no surprises, the land would be theirs.

At the meeting, Rawlins and Chris exchanged a glance, both smug.

But they didn't have much time to congratulate each other before the president announced the successful bidder.

A company they had never heard of.

"Did you say that wrong?" Rawlins stood up and questioned the presenter in a stern voice.

The presenter said with a calm face, "Yes, it is true that this company won the bid."

"Impossible, clearly..." Rawlins could in no way believe it.

At that moment, the secretary came over and whispered in Chris's ear, and Chris's face changed instantly.

She approached Rawlins, "You don't need to ask, I know what's going on."

Rawlins looked back at him.

Chris grimaced, "It's Marcos."

Rawlins was surprised, "How can it be him? The information I got was that the Leoz Group didn't even look at the ground."

"They didn't see it?" Chris snorted, "I think it's a deliberate disinformation campaign to confuse us. It seems we were too gullible."

"Damn it!" Rawlins pounded his desk angrily.

"Don't get mad, we thought he wouldn't make a move, and now he has, isn't that great?"

Chris looked much more subdued than Rawlins' anger.

"Marcos!" said Rawlins, clenching his fists, his face handsome and scowling with the anger that had tainted it.

Chris drummed his fingers on the desk, looking thoughtful.

...

Linda slammed her phone angrily when she learned that Chris and the others hadn't won the bid.

"Didn't you swear at the beginning that this land was already in your pocket?" Linda stared at Chris, her face covered in gloom from delicate makeup. "It was just an accident."

Chris had a leer that made Linda even angrier.

"An accident? Why don't you replace a better excuse?"

"Okay, don't be mad." Chris hugged her, "Don't worry, there's another plot without this one."

"But without E-City, what are you going to do with the Leoz Group?"

They originally wanted to use the land to develop a new property to use against the Leoz Group's recent investment.

"There will be other ways." Chris kissed her cheek and suddenly smiled, "It's really a lot of fun for me now that Marcos is starting to fight back." "Are you happy about that?" Linda didn't understand as she looked at him.

"Of course." Chris raised an eyebrow, "I just love watching him and the Leoz Group step to their demise as he fights back."

"But haven't you always ignored his various provocations before?" Linda didn't understand why the Leoz Group was fighting back this time.

Chris was silent for a few seconds and guessed, "He probably found out that I had something to do with what happened to his son."

"That's bad." Linda's face went white, "Marcos is the one who cares the most about his family, especially Paulina and the two kids, and he's definitely not going to let you guys off the hook. You must never underestimate him, he is very powerful and it will never be easy for you to defeat him."
