Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1419: It's the second time.

Esteban kept vomiting until even bile came out, his little face was bloodless and pale as paper.

Alfredo was terrified and didn't dare delay a minute to take him to the hospital.

On the way, he called Marcos and gave him an account of the situation.

"I'll be right there."

Marcos was in a meeting when he received the call.

All of the executives witnessed his whole face sink in.

They were all mentally guessing what had happened.

Hanging up the phone, Marcos left the group of executives behind and hurried out of the conference room.

Seeing this, the secretary was quick to say, "That's all for today's meeting."

That said, she hurried after him.

"Chairman, what happened?" The secretary caught up with Marcos and asked with concern.

"I have to take care of something, if the lady asks me to, just say I'm going out and I'll be back soon." Marcos strided into the elevator. "Yes." The secretary bowed her head respectfully.

...

Esteban was taken to the emergency room and Alfredo tried to follow him, but was stopped by the nurse.

"The family is waiting outside."

With that, the nurse closed the door behind her.

Alfredo could only walk anxiously outside, turning his head from time to time to look at the closed emergency room door.

After about ten minutes, the doctor came out.

"Doctor, how is the person?" Alfredo rushed out to meet him.

"There's nothing wrong with the person."

Alfredo couldn't believe it, "How can there be nothing wrong? He's spitting bile and his face is white, it can't be right!".

The doctor grimaced in disgust, "Are you questioning my professionalism?".

"No." Alfredo was quick to deny, "I'm just concerned about the baby's health."

"Don't worry, the baby is fine, you just have to go back to cooking him some porridge and taming his stomach."

Just as the doctor finished speaking, the nurse came out of the emergency room with Esteban in her hand.

"Esteban," Alfredo approached him, and seeing that he was still a little pale, he turned to the doctor and asked, "Are you sure he's really okay?"

"Of course I'm sure!" The doctor had an expression of displeasure on his face.

"Uncle Alfredo, I'm fine." Esteban managed to squeeze out a smile.

Alfredo was distressed, "Be sure to let your uncle know if you feel unwell, okay?"

"Yes." Esteban nodded.

At that moment, hurried footsteps were heard.

Alfredo and Esteban turned their heads to follow the sound and saw Marcos approaching with large strides.

"Esteban."

"Papa." As soon as he saw Marcos, Esteban's eyes reddened.

"Does anything hurt?" Marcos grabbed both of his shoulders and examined them up and down.

Esteban lifted a hand to wipe the corners of his eyes and his mouth curved, "Dad, I'm fine."

"Fine?"

Marcos turned his head and looked at Alfredo with a questioning look.

"The doctor checked and Esteban's body is fine." Alfredo's voice trailed off, as he didn't believe the doctor either, so he was a bit vain.

"How are you going to vomit if there's nothing wrong with you?". Marcos shot a sharp look at the doctor.

The doctor's heart skipped a beat and he hastened to explain, "There's nothing wrong with the boy's body, so the vomiting is not necessarily due to discomfort, but could also be physiological." "Physiological?" Marcos frowned.

"That means it's possible he saw something dirty or smelled something he didn't like or something."

"Saw what? Smelled what?" Alfredo thought of something and his expression turned grave, "Prince, I know what's wrong." "Talk!"

Alfredo told Marcos as much as he could about what had happened today.

When he finished, he added, "Prince, if I am correct, the young prince may have been stimulated because he witnessed that fight." Marcos frowned hard, Alfredo was right, Esteban's sudden vomiting had nothing to do with the brawl.

He didn't think deeply about it, only that he would tell Manuel so he could adjust his treatment plan.

At that moment, Esteban suddenly said, "That's the second time I've seen someone fight, no, this time it's worse, they have a knife."

"The second time?" Marcos caught the key word: "When was the first time?".

"At school. A crew came to school for a scene and Monte dragged me to watch, then we watched the actors fight and bleed, and Monte got hit by a basketball that day and passed out." Esteban's face, already pale, hardened even more as he talked about the situation.

"Was it the night you lost your temper with Sweety?". asked Marcos again. Esteban nodded.

Marcos and Alfredo looked at each other and both sensed something was wrong.

It would be too much of a coincidence to say that both times were coincidental.

Something was wrong!

Marcos' eyes narrowed with a hint of intensity; this was not a coincidence, but a deliberate act.

And both times it was directed at Esteban.

It was evident that they knew Esteban's situation.

"Alfredo, make sure you get to the bottom of this!" ordered Marcos in a deep voice.

He wanted to see who was trying to hurt Esteban.

"Yes!" Alfredo directed the order and hurried out.

...

Paulina came out of the office and saw the secretary who was supposed to be in a meeting with Marcos sitting outside.

She approached her, "Is the meeting over?".

As soon as the secretary saw her, she rushed to get up, "Yes, it's over."

"And where is the president?" If it was over, how come Marcos had not yet returned to his office?

"The president ... had to go out for something."

"Leave? Where to?" continued Paulina.

"I don't know." The secretary shook her head.

Paulina had a vague feeling that something was wrong and hurried back to her office, reached for her cell phone and called Marcos.

Soon the line answered, "Paulina, what's wrong?"

A deep voice rang through the receiver and Paulina hurriedly asked, "Where have you been, why didn't you tell me?"

"There was an emergency that needed to be attended to."

"What was the emergency?"

Just as she finished asking, Paulina heard an unfamiliar female voice ringing on the other end of the phone.

"Sir, the doctor says you can take the baby."

The doctor? The baby?

The pupils in Paulina's eyes narrowed, "He was in the hospital?"

Marcos saw that he couldn't hide it anymore and had to tell the truth: "Well, I was at the hospital with Esteban." "What happened with Esteban?" Paulina's voice rose a few degrees in surprise.

"Nothing, it's just..."

Without waiting for Marcos to finish, Paulina interrupted, "What hospital are you at, I'm coming to get you." Marcos looked at Esteban next to him and told him what hospital he was at.

"Wait for me."

With those two words, Paulina hung up the phone and quickly left the office.

She drove the car as fast as she could down the road, desperate to get to Esteban in the next second.

Marcos and Esteban sat on a bench in the hallway and it wasn't long before panicked footsteps could be heard. Father and son turned their heads to see none other than Paulina.
