Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1431: Sweety is gone!
The next day, Esteban arrived at Manuel's studio on time for his treatment, as usual. Manuel saw that he was in a good mood and had him take a psychological test.
The result was that Esteban's condition had started to improve.
When Paulina found out, she was so moved she almost cried, reached up to wipe the corners of her wet eyes and curved her lips into a smile. "All these days of companionship have finally been worth something, thanks also to Manuel." These days she would go to Esteban's house as soon as she got off work.
She reads books with him, builds Lego with him.
Every night, she stays with him until she goes to bed.
Marcos would look at her tenderly and whisper to her, "Why are you crying if you're happy?"
"I am happy!" Paulina let out a laugh, her eyelashes still coated with crystal tears.
A faint smile tugged at the corners of Mark's mouth, who looked at her with a slightly helpless, loving gaze.
In the afternoon, they picked up Esteban at the office.
"Mom, school ended early today." Esteban didn't know that Paulina already knew he was in therapy, so he thought of a reason to hide it from her on the way.
Knowing what he was thinking, Paulina didn't ask too many questions, smiled and said "yes," then took him to the company canteen for refreshments.
"Esteban, do you want to go with mom to pick up Sweety?" asked Paulina shyly, looking at Esteban, who was having a yogurt.
"Sure." Esteban nodded.
In fact Esteban was feeling a little guilty about Sweety.
Because Paulina was spending all these days with him, leaving Sweety on the sidelines.
However, he made a secret decision in his mind that when he was well, he would treat Sweety better than before.
"Then we'll pick Sweety up together later."
Stephen agreed without a word, and Paulina was so relieved that she looked at him with growing tenderness.
In the afternoon, Paulina took Esteban to the kindergarten where Sweety was studying.
The kindergarten had just finished classes and the entrance was crowded with parents picking up their children, so it was very busy.
Paulina immediately sees Sweety's class teacher and approaches her, taking Esteban by the hand.
The teacher was surprised to see her arrive, "Sweety's mother, why did you come to pick Sweety up by yourself today?"
"I'm just free."
Paulina looked at the line behind the teacher and saw no sign of Sweety.
"Isn't Sweety at the back?" the teacher turned around and suddenly saw that Sweety wasn't there and her face changed. "Where's Sweety?" she grabbed the arm of the little girl next to her and asked anxiously.
The little girl shook her head, "I don't know."
The teacher asked several children in quick succession, and they all said they didn't know where Sweety had gone.
"But, maybe she went to the bathroom, I'll go check."
With that, the teacher turned and ran back to the school.
Esteban felt Paulina's hand tighten as she held his and looked up at her, "Mommy, Sweety will be okay."
At those words, Paulina looked down and forced a smile, "Yes."
She was actually panicking and even had a very bad feeling.
A while later, the teacher came running out, panting, "Sweety's not in the bathroom, I'm still ..."
She swallowed saliva and added, "I looked everywhere and couldn't replace Sweety."
Paulina's eyes turned black and her body swayed.
"Mommy!"
"Sweety Mommy!"
The teacher held her just in time.
"Sweety is so little, where would she go if she wasn't in school?" Paulina was a little overwhelmed.
The teacher ducked her head, "I'm sorry, I didn't keep an eye on the kids, I ..."
"Is that something that can be fixed with a pardon?" Paulina looked around and saw other parents leaving happily with their children, her heart was even more angry and anxious. But now was not the time to question the teacher.
She calmed down, "Look more carefully, Sweety can't have gone very far at that age."
"All right, I'll have the other teachers look for him right away."
As soon as the headmistress heard that Sweety was missing, she was so frightened that she ordered the other teachers to look for her together.
Paulina didn't wait around, but told Esteban to stay put and wait for her, then ran into the school.
A dozen people turned the whole kindergarten upside down, but Sweety was nowhere to be found.
"Mrs. Leoz, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, it's all our fault." The principal was still apologizing to Paulina.
Paulina was in no mood to pay attention to her and pulled out her cell phone to dial Marcos' number.
The silent office suddenly rang with a high pitched ring, Marcos looked and saw it was Paulina and immediately picked up, "Paulina ..."
No sooner had he spoken than Paulina on the other end of the line burst into tears.
Marcos asked nervously, "Is something wrong?".
"Sweety is gone..."
...
During the ride, Marcos practically hit the gas pedal to the metal, and the nearly thirty minute ride was reduced to just ten.
"Marcos!" upon seeing him arrive, Paulina immediately greeted him, crying as she said, "Sweety's gone, where do you think she could have run off to when she was so little?" Marcos patted her on the back, his sharp gaze directed at the dean and teachers, and said in a deep voice, "The girl has disappeared from school, and I expect an explanation." "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
The dean and the teachers did not know what to say, except to apologize.
At that moment, Alfredo arrived in a hurry with his men, "Prince."
"Take the men away and replace someone, Sweety can't run far that small." Marcos ordered in a deep voice.
"Yes!"
Watching Alfredo they split into two groups, one on the left and one on the right, they spread out and started looking for someone.
Paulina's tears kept falling, "Marcos, did something happen to Sweety?"
"No, Sweety will be fine." Marcos hugged her.
The teachers joined the search and the head groundskeeper took it upon himself to check the CCTV.
When they checked the CCTV, they discovered that Sweety had lost her ball because she had dropped it and it had rolled out of the school, and she had chased after it to pick it up. The ball couldn't have rolled too far, only a couple of meters at most, so how could it have disappeared?
Alfredo and the others scoured the grounds, but still couldn't replace it.
"Call the police!" Marcos clenched his fists, a haze hovering over his handsome face.
Sweety couldn't have gone far on her own, unless she had been taken.
"Paulina, let's go home first, the police will send her home when they replace someone."
Paulina's tears wouldn't stop and if Marcos hadn't held her, she would have fallen limply. Marcos looked distressed.
"I don't want to, I'm going to wait here for Sweety, she must be scared alone."
Paulina's tears fell even harder at the thought, "I'm going to replace Sweety."
With that, she pushed Marcos out of her way and took a step forward.
Suddenly, her eyes turned black and Marcos' voice echoed in her ears. "Paulina!"
After that, she plunged into darkness, oblivious to anything.
Marcos grabbed the fainting Paulina, who was always calm as a mountain, and shouted in terror, "Alfredo, get the car!"
Alfredo ran to the car..
Marcos climbed into the car with the man in his arms and ordered Alfredo: "You get out and someone else will drive. You will take Esteban home and then come back to watch the nursery." "Yes." Alfredo quickly got out of the car and substituted someone else to drive Marcos and the others to the hospital.
