Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1432: Ecstasy
Sweety was gone and the mood in The Leoz Family was depressing to the core.
"Who took Sweety?" said Mrs. Gloria as she wiped away her tears, "Sweety is still so young, I don't want to live if something happens to her." "What are you talking about?" Mrs. Juan scolded her angrily, "How could anything happen to Sweety? The police will replace her soon." "Yes, Mom, don't be ridiculous, Sweety will be fine." said Bonita to comfort her.
Mrs. Gloria stifled a sob, "Now that Paulina has fainted and is in the hospital, if Sweety is not found, I'm afraid she won't be able to take it." "Mom, she won't." Bonita gently rubbed her back, sighed and said, "How come there's never a day's peace these days."
Things with Earlene had taken a while to calm down, but it was only a matter of time before something happened again. Mrs. Gloria wiped away her tears and said, "When Sweety comes back, I'll have to order a peace charm for each of us." Bonita laughed helplessly, "Mom, why do you still believe in this?"
"I'd rather believe in it than not."
Whether the amulet was really safe or not, at least there was psychological comfort.
"Okay, stop crying and hurry so the kitchen can make soup to take Paulina to the hospital." Mr. Juan had a frown on his face and his face didn't look so good.
These days, the Leoz Group had been in the crosshairs of the Bartram Group and several other companies, and it had been very difficult to win a big project overseas, and now something like this had happened. Mr. Juan replaces it hard not to relate the two events.
Marcos had just won the project and Sweety had disappeared.
What kind of coincidence is that?
Mr. Juan thought about it, and so did Marcos and Alvaro.
"Brother, I have sent someone to keep an eye on the Rawlins and they will inform us as soon as there is any news of Sweety." said Alvaro as he looked at Marcos who was sitting by the hospital bed.
Marcos' eyes fixed on Paulina's small pale face and his eyes filled with pain.
He gripped her hand tightly and blamed himself, "It's my fault, I've been so busy working these days that I've neglected your sister-in-law and the baby."
"Brother, don't be like that, it's not your fault."
Alvaro reached over and raised his hand to place it gently on his shoulder, his eyes narrowed with a hint of sternness, "If this incident really has anything to do with the Rawlins and the others, I definitely won't let them off the hook." "How are things going with the police?" asked Marcos.
"Still no sign of anyone." Alvaro frowned fiercely, "Checked all the surveillance around the nursery and, strangely, no sign of Sweety."
"Check again, people can't just disappear into thin air."
Alvaro nodded, "Right."
...
Edgar learns that Sweety is missing and immediately sends someone to J-Town to help search for her together.
He called Marcos, "Cousin's husband, if there is anything you need help with, just ask, you are welcome."
"Thank you." Marcos didn't know what to say other than thank you.
"No need to be so polite as a family."
After hanging up the phone, Marcos stood by the window for a moment with the phone in his hand before turning away.
Paulina woke up, and when she opened her eyes, she was met with a snowy, glowing white, and all the memories of her coma came flooding back to her mind.
Her heart clenched and she sat up abruptly.
Mark turned just in time to see her sitting up and ran to her.
"Paulina."
"Marcos, have they found Sweety yet?" asked Paulina eagerly, staring at him.
Marcos lowered his eyes, "Not yet."
"Not yet?" Paulina couldn't believe it, "How is it possible that you haven't found her yet? You're lying to me, aren't you?"
Marcos grabbed her shoulders and gently reassured her, "Paulina, calm down, Sweety hasn't been found yet, the police have been looking for her and I have people looking for her, I'm sure we'll replace her soon." "Soon?" Paulina lost her temper a little, "How soon is soon? I've been unconscious for so long and you haven't found me, how can I take your word for it!"
She said, with tears in her eyes.
Mark's eyes watered a little at the corners as he took her hand in his, "I'm sorry."
At the word "I'm sorry," Paulina's heart felt like a pinch, and she looked into his guilt-filled eyes.
It was then that she realized that she had blamed him for what had happened.
She pursed her lips and shook her head.
Mark gently wiped the tears from her face with his fingertips and said lovingly, "I know what you mean, but this was really all an oversight on my part." "No, I don't want to blame you."
"Okay, I understand." Mark took her in his arms, his large palm gently caressed her back, "You have to trust me, Sweety will be fine."
Paulina buried her face in his arms and let out a muffled "mmm."
...
Marcos used all his contacts and finally discovered where Sweety had been taken.
The police followed this address and found Sweety in a ruin in the suburbs.
When they found Sweety, she was lying on the ground, motionless.
She was not responding to any calls.
The police took her to the hospital.
Marcos and Paulina arrived at the hospital as soon as they received the news and took Sweety to the resuscitation room.
Paulina threw herself into Marcos' arms, crying incessantly.
Marcos embraced her, his beautiful face tense, eyes fixed on the closed door of the resuscitation room.
"Brother, how is he?" asked Alvaro anxiously as he rushed over.
"They're still resuscitating him."
Marcos' voice trembled slightly as he said this, and the arm around Paulina tensed unconsciously. "Sweety will be all right."
The words were a comfort to the Marcoses and to Alvaro himself.
After almost thirty minutes, the door to the resuscitation room opened and the doctor came out.
Marcos and Paulina greeted him.
"Doctor, how is my daughter, is she okay?" asked Paulina urgently.
The doctor removed his mask, "The baby is fine, don't be nervous." "Really?" Paulina was incredulous.
The doctor nodded, "Yes."
With the definitive answer, Paulina's legs went limp.
Marcos hurried to hold her up.
Paulina turned her head and smiled at him, "Great, Sweety is fine."
Marcos nodded, "Yes, she's fine."
At that moment, the doctor frowned, "However, the girl has a small amount of LSD in her system, it has been administered to her." "Ecstasy?" Alvaro turned his head to look at Marcos.
Marcos asked no more questions, but said, "Thank you, doctor."
The doctor nodded and turned to leave.
"Brother, did you hear that, Sweety was stunned and it must have been the Rawlins who did it!". Alvaro looked angry.
"Keep an eye on Sweety first, this will come later."
Sweety was led into the living room.
Paulina sat on the edge of the bed, holding her little hand tightly, fearing that if she let go, the person would disappear again. "Don't cry, or Sweety will be mad when she wakes up and sees it." Mark wiped the tears from her face and whispered. Paulina nodded, "Yes, I won't cry."
