Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1435: Private Island

Paulina had been having trouble sleeping lately, always losing sleep at night and having to get up from time to time to check on her two children. This had never happened before.

I think it was since Sweety's kidnapping that she hadn't slept well.

It was too exhausting.

Paulina closed her sore eyes and tried to take a nap, but her mind was scrambled and her heart was in a panic, and she couldn't calm down.

It was impossible to sleep like this.

Mark was distressed to see her face getting worse every day and he knew exactly what was wrong with her, but no matter how much he and the others tried to comfort her, it was useless. She continued to have insomnia and could not sleep as usual.

That day, Paulina went straight to her room as soon as she got home.

Mrs. Gloria hurried to follow her.

"Paulina, shall we call the family doctor to come check on you?" asked Mrs. Gloria.

Paulina turned around with a helpless smile, "Mom, I just haven't slept well, it's no use having the doctor come."

"You're worrying too much about the two children, your body won't be able to keep up at this rate." Mrs. Gloria looked at her with anguish.

"Mom, don't worry, I'll adapt."

If she really could adapt, she would have done it long ago and she wouldn't be in such a bad mood all these days.

"No, better get the doctor to come." Without waiting for Paulina's reaction, Mrs. Gloria turned and hurried out.

Paulina felt helpless and guilty at the same time, the whole family was worried about her these days, this one came to comfort her and that one came to console her. Everyone told her not to think about it, that nothing would happen again to the two children.

In fact, she did not want to think about it, but she could not help it.

An hour later the doctor arrived.

After the medical examination, Paulina's health was fine, but it was mental stress that was causing her insomnia.

"It is better for her to go to a clean place, take a few days to recover and relax, and then her mental state will slowly improve."

This was the doctor's advice.

When Mark was informed, he immediately decided to take Paulina on vacation.

"And the company?" Paulina did not want her work to be affected by what was happening to her.

"There's Alvaro." Marcos took her hand in his and said softly, "You and the baby are the most important thing, not the company."

Emotion overflowed instantly.

But what followed was a heart full of guilt.

"I'm sorry, it's all my fault for not adjusting well."

"It's not your fault." Mark took her in his arms and whispered softly in her ear, "Don't think about it anymore, I'm here for everything, everything will be fine."

"Mmm." Paulina closed her eyes and listened to the steady beat of his heart as the restlessness in her heart slowly dissipated.

The next day, Marcos took Paulina and the baby to a private island.

The island had been purchased by Mr. Juan, Mrs. Gloria, with the idea of retiring on the island and building a villa there.

On their first visit, Esteban and Sweety found the island very new, looking around and asking questions from time to time. Marcos was very patient and answered them all.

"Dad, I like it here, can we stay a few more days?". Sweety turned her head to look at Marcos.

Marcos smiled softly, "Of course you can. Pack your bags later and Dad will take you fishing at the beach."

"Yes, yes." Esteban and Sweety were so happy that they started to dance.

Seeing the two children so happy, Paulina's mood gradually relaxed.

The villa was small, three stories, with floor-to-ceiling windows on one wall, facing the sea, and the turquoise level of the sea could be seen as soon as the curtains were drawn. As soon as the two children entered the house, they walked through it with novelty.

Mark and Pauline stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows, looking out at the sea level with its cascading waves not far away.

"Do you like it here?" asked Marcos.

Paulina looked sideways at him, eyes soft, "Yes."

"Good if you like it." Marcos walked over to her and hugged her from behind, "We'll come back when you're better."

"Okay?" Paulina lifted her hand to cover the one he was holding, tilting her head, her gaze resting on his crisp jaw, a slight smile lifted the corners of her mouth. Marcos lowered his eyes.

Four eyes met.

His grip tightened and he slowly lowered his head, kissing her on the lips with a "yes."

"Dad, Mom!"

The sudden sound of a voice startles Paulina, who pushes Mark away and turns her head in fright.

Only to see Esteban and Sweety running down the stairs, one after the other.

"Slow down guys, watch out for the fall!" Paulina's face turns pale with fear as she sees how fast they run.

"Mom, the ceiling is really made of glass!" Sweety grabbed her hand and said excitedly.

"Glass?" Paulina frowned as she turned her head to look at Mark, confusion written all over her small, clear face. "Go upstairs and take a look."

Marcos didn't explain and led her straight upstairs by the hand.

There was only one room on the third floor.

The room was large and the most important thing was that as soon as she looked up she could see the blue sky.

"It's beautiful."

Paulina's pretty eyes were full of surprise.

"Mommy, look, it's really a glass ceiling, it's very pretty."

Sweety, at her side, kept waving her hand excitedly.

"Isn't it hot?" After the surprise, Paulina asked the question that had been on her mind.

A glass roof was nice, but the direct sunlight was too harsh and it could get hot.

"It's all insulated and can have a roof too." said Mark as he walked over to a side table, picked up the remote control resting on it and pressed it.

The ceilings on both sides of the house slowly moved closer towards the center.

As soon as the curtains were closed, the room, which had been bright, became much darker.

Sweety smiled and said, "Dad, I don't like the dark."

Mark pressed the remote control as he had been told and pulled Paulina out of the room as both children stared at the ceiling. "What's wrong?" Paulina looked at him quizzically.

"Go on."

"What?"

Before Paulina knew what he meant by "go on," there was a sudden darkness before her eyes and he was kissing her on the lips. So that was what he meant by go on.

Paulina felt helpless and amused at the same time, but she wrapped her arms around his neck and responded to his kiss.

A kiss as lingering and affectionate as it could be.

After the kiss, Mark parted from her lips lovingly, lowered his eyes and his gaze fell on the delicately kissed red lips, his eyes darkening a few shades. "If the baby wasn't here, I'd love to eat you."

The low, husky voice sounded especially sensual and fell on her ears, stirring Paulina's mind.

Shy and annoyed, she pushed at his chest, staining even his ears scarlet.

"We're a couple, no need to be so coy."

Marcos pecked her lips, "Every day I'm here, I'll be with you."

He was going to make up for all the time he had neglected her and the baby.
