Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1482: Esteban is his real son

The birthday banquet ended with a hubbub of jubilation, and only after bidding farewell to the guests did Paulina and her party return to the former residence of The Khan family.

By the time they returned home, everyone was exhausted.

The old man washed up and went to bed before falling into a deep sleep.

Esteban and Sweety also went to bed after bathing.

It was getting late and the house was silent.

Paulina went downstairs to get a glass of water in the kitchen, but found her mother, uncles and in-laws still chatting in the living room.

So she approached them.

"Why aren't you all resting?" she asked quizzically.

After a long day tossing and turning, they were bound to be very tired, so how come they were still in the mood to chat?

"The birthday party has been very lively, I'm not used to everything being quiet when I get home." Dulce said with a smile. "We just wanted to chat."

Mr. Juan and Mrs. Gloria were not as sentimental as the two of them, they just couldn't sleep and wanted to talk.

Paulina smiled as she sat down next to her mother and asked, "Mom, are you there too?"

Agustina gently shook her head, "No. It's the first time I've spent a birthday with your grandfather after so many years and I have too many mixed emotions to sleep." "Mom, don't overthink it. You have plenty of time for Grandpa now that you're back in The Khan Family." Paulina put her arm around Agustina's shoulders and reassured her. Agustina smiled weakly, "I know."

The mood was a bit subdued for a moment.

At that moment, Dulce spoke up, "By the way, Esteban and Sweety were fantastic tonight."

Remembering Esteban's lyrics and Sweety's music at the birthday party, Dulce was still a bit moved.

At the mention of Esteban and Sweety, Agustina patted Paulina's hand and said, "You are a very qualified mother and have raised both children very well."

"Yes, Esteban and Sweety really know what they are doing and are very well behaved." Said Dulce and sighed, "Although Esteban is not Paulina's, he is certainly very attractive." At this comment, there was an inexplicable silence in the room.

Mr. Juan and Ms. Gloria looked at each other and both were a little puzzled at Paulina's reaction.

"Yes." Paulina pursed her lips in dismay.

After all these years with Esteban, she had almost forgotten that Esteban was not her biological son.

Now that it was suddenly mentioned, it was a little hard on her heart.

Agustina saw what he was thinking and held his hand tightly, saying softly, "It doesn't matter at all if he is biological or not, you just have to remember that he is your son." Paulina smiled at him and said nothing.

"Esteban is not Paulina's biological?"

The voice that suddenly rang out startled several people in the room and they turned their heads to follow the sound, only to see Marcos standing frozen on the stairs. "Marcos," Paulina stood up hurriedly.

Incidentally, she had lost her memory and had no recollection of the incident at all.

Marcos was surprised that he had heard, how could he not think that Esteban was not Paulina's son?

Then whose son was Esteban to him?

Had he done Paulina wrong before?

Looking at his shocked expression, Paulina suddenly didn't know how to explain herself, she squeezed his hand and then released it, a sigh escaped her lips. "Marcos ..."

"Actually Esteban is Paulina's son."

Ms. Gloria, sensing something was wrong, suddenly spoke up.

Paulina pulled back and looked at her in disbelief, "Mama, what did you say?"

Mrs. Gloria raised her eyes to Paulina and the corners of her lips curled up, "I said that Esteban is your biological son, that is, your son and Marcos' son." How could that be?

Paulina couldn't help but sit up straight, disbelief written all over her plain face, "Esteban is my son?".

Amazement was followed by joy, mixed with deep doubt.

How could Esteban be her son?

What the hell is going on here? ...

Her head was spinning, and she asked, "Mom, why did you say Esteban was my son?"

Mrs. Gloria's head was spinning and she talked about it.

"When Marcos suspected that you and Esteban were mother and son in the past, a paternity test was done and it was confirmed that Esteban was your and Marcos' son. However, the details of this are still unclear to us." "So why hasn't Paulina been mentioned to him for so long?".

At this, Dulce was perplexed.

Having seen Paulina so surprised and delighted, it pained her that she had been kept in the dark for so many years.

It was clear that there was an opportunity to talk about it, and none of them, The Leoz family, had taken the initiative.

Hearing the discontent in Dulce's words, Mrs. Gloria smiled apologetically, "Juan and I always thought that Marcos had told Paulina, but seeing Paulina's reaction just now, I realized that too much had happened since then for Marcos to tell Paulina."

They really didn't believe that after the paternity test, Marcos hadn't told Paulina.

Dulce didn't know what to say.

The family was really confused.

"In fact, all these years Paulina has loved Esteban as if he was her own son." Agustina said, "Whether he was biological or not, it didn't affect her feelings for Esteban."

"That's true." Dulce sighed, "But it's a bit of a psychological relief to know he's biological."

Paulina's eyes filled with tears, "So Esteban ... really is mine and Marcos' son."

Although she had had the luxury of wishing Esteban was her son, how wonderful that would be.

But she never thought...

that it would be true.

At the thought, she couldn't help but cover her face and groan.

"Paulina, what's wrong with you?" asked Agustina anxiously.

Paulina let go of her hand, sniffled and lifted her lips in a smile, "I'm very happy, extra extra happy."

"You, girl." Agustina sighed in relief and shook her head helplessly.

Marcos sat down next to Paulina and wrapped his arms around her, whispering an apology, "I'm sorry, it's my fault for not telling you this."

"I don't blame you." Paulina shook her head softly, "After all these years, I don't even remember that Esteban is not my real son, and in my heart I have long thought of Esteban as my real son."

"You didn't tell me, so you've probably forgotten that too. After all, we are family."

Fearing he might blame himself too much, Paulina added in a soft, soothing voice.

It was his turn to comfort her, but he didn't expect it to be the other way around.

Marcos laughed helplessly, "Yes, we are family."

"I'm going upstairs, take your time." Paulina couldn't wait to go upstairs to hug Esteban and tell him that she was his real mother.

Seeing Paulina and Marcos go upstairs together, Dulce couldn't help but smile with relief, "This makes Paulina and Marcos even more complete."
