Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1486: Perfume
Paulina sneezed a couple more times in quick succession, she rubbed her nose hard but it was still uncomfortable. "Go wash your face and see if it gets better." Marcos said eagerly as he watched her rub her reddened nose.
"Okay."
After that Paulina went to wash her face and she did feel better, but she was still sneezing from time to time. She didn't think anything of it, thinking the smell would soon dissipate.
When she got home in the evening, everyone asked her why she was wearing perfume today.
He could only laugh bitterly and explain once again what had happened in the office that afternoon.
"How much of this stuff do you spray, why does it smell so good?". Bonita held her nose, frowning.
She was pregnant and her stomach churned at the smell of anything too aromatic.
"Two or three hits."
Just as she finished speaking, Paulina sneezed again, startling Bonita.
"What's wrong with you, sister-in-law?"
Paulina sneezed with a helpless expression on her face, "I've been sneezing ever since I sprayed this perfume on myself." There was even a steady sniffle.
Bonita's brow furrowed even more and she wondered a little, "It's not right, I sprayed it on this afternoon, why does it still smell so strong? Like it's just been sprayed."
"I'm not sure, he said it's a limited edition." Paulina also thought it was strange, but didn't think too much of it, she just assumed it was a new perfume on the market. What they didn't expect was that the scent lasted until after 10 p. m. and still didn't dissipate.
Every once in a while Paulina would sneeze, her nose would bother her and the smell would linger so long that it made her head a little dizzy.
She didn't know how many times she had washed her face in one night.
Each time she washed it, she felt better.
But after a while, it was hard again.
Mark saw how uncomfortable she was and sensed something wasn't right.
"Achoo!"
Paulina, who had just come out of the bathroom after her shower, sneezed loudly again.
Mark, who was leaning against the bed, immediately closed his laptop and got out of bed to approach her.
"It could be an allergy to the smell, have her checked at the hospital." said Marcos.
Paulina frowned slightly, "No, I don't think so. Maybe she'll be fine tomorrow. Achoo-"
Marcos sighed softly at her uncomfortable look, "Get changed and let's go to the hospital."
At Marcos' insistence, Paulina had no choice but to give in.
When they arrived at the hospital, after the doctor's examination, nothing checked out.
"I said he's fine." Paulina turned her head to look at Marcos, looking helpless.
"Doctor, is there really nothing wrong?" Marcos was still unsure, if it was really nothing, how come she was still sneezing.
"It must be a bit of an allergy. I'm going to prescribe some medicine for now, and if anything happens to her when she comes back, have her come to the hospital right away." The doctor explained. Paulina nodded, "Okay."
After taking the medicine, Marcos and Paulina went straight home.
On the way back, the whole car smelled of that perfume and Paulina had to roll down the windows to let the wind in so the smell wouldn't be so strong.
"This perfume lingers too long." Paulina felt she was getting carried away by the scent.
Mark gave her a sidelong glance and said, "Don't ever wear this perfume again."
She had a vague feeling that something was wrong with this perfume.
But if there was something wrong with the perfume, how come nothing had happened to him or anyone else?
Paulina lost her smile, "First of all, I don't wear perfume, let alone one that smells that strong."
She couldn't understand why Blythe had given her perfume for no reason.
There was something about him that made her feel like she was being "a thief for nothing."
Arriving home, Paulina went straight to bed.
The next day, Paulina woke up, sat up in bed, raised her arms and stretched, but in the middle of yawning something occurred to her.
She inhaled and the smell of the perfume was gone.
Marcos came out of the bathroom just in time to see her a little happy and asked, "What's wrong?"
At the sound of his voice, Paulina turned her head and said, a little excited, "Marcos, the smell is gone."
Marcos stepped forward, sniffed and was a little relieved, "Indeed, it's gone."
"Yes, it's finally gone."
"Are you okay?" Marcos was still a little unsure.
Paulina shook her head, "Yes, and in a very good mood."
With that, she went into the bathroom.
After washing up, Paulina and Marcos went downstairs together for breakfast.
The dining room is very busy, Alvaro, Bonita and the children are there, and Mr. Juan and Mrs. Gloria have returned from Kyoto.
As soon as they see Paulina, Mrs. Gloria immediately asks with concern, "Paulina, is everything all right?".
Mrs. Gloria had just arrived home when she overheard Bonita talking about what had happened yesterday.
Paulina smiled as she pulled out a chair and sat down, "Mom, I'm fine. I just woke up from a nap and I don't smell anything." Mrs. Gloria nodded, "That's good."
"But sister-in-law, since you're so sensitive to the smell of that perfume, you'd better not wear it again." Bonita warned. Paulina smiled, "Then I won't use it."
The perfume bottle had been stored in the farthest corner of her drawer and she would never use it in her life.
Bonita smiled and said no more.
"Better watch out for other people's future gifts." Mrs. Gloria said, "I heard Bonita say you kept sneezing yesterday and I felt bad for you." "Mom, I'm sorry I worried you." Paulina looked at her with an apologetic face.
Mrs. Gloria handed her a glass of milk, "What do you feel, Mommy isn't blaming you?".
"I know." Paulina took the milk and smiled at her, "I know mommy loves me the most, how could she blame me?".
"You're the only one with a sweet mouth." Mrs. Gloria peeled another egg and put it on her plate, "Have some more." "Thanks Mom." The smile on Paulina's face grew wider and wider.
Seeing this, Alvaro raised an eyebrow, "Sister-in-law, why are you feeling in a particularly good mood today?"
"Is that so?" Paulina wasn't feeling much herself, "I'm in a good mood every day."
"No, I think you're in a different mood today."
Paulina couldn't help but laugh and joked, "Alvaro, Bonita is next to you, watch what you say."
"No, I didn't mean that." Alvaro was quick to explain, "It's just that I think you're a little over the top today." "You're overthinking it."
Paulina shot him a nasty look, "It's just that I'm glad the smell is finally gone."
Alvaro still sensed something was wrong and turned his head toward Marcos.
Marcos and he looked at each other, his eyes resting on Paulina's smiling face with a thoughtful expression.
