Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1492: You need to investigate thoroughly.

It was true that Mark was not aware of this matter.

That's why, when he heard it, he felt his heart being squeezed so hard that his chest was so congested he couldn't breathe.

He hated himself for having lost his memory and forgotten something so important.

As he looked at Paulina's bloodless cheeks, anguish and guilt mingled in his dark eyes.

Had he known, he would never have given her the job of organizing the event.

Alvaro saw that her face was hard and hesitated before speaking, "Brother, my sister-in-law already almost died several times from the virus, so this time ..." He didn't dare finish the sentence.

"She won't."

A low, husky voice echoed in the room as Marcos gripped Paulina's hand tightly and repeated in a particularly confident tone, "She'll be fine!"

Alvaro nodded, "Yes, sister-in-law will be fine. I will contact Almeida and the others, they will have a way to save her."

With that, he turned and hurried out.

The room fell silent.

Marcos brought Paulina's hand to his mouth and gently kissed the back of her hand, not taking his eyes off her pale little face for a moment. "Paulina, I'm here with you, you'll be fine."

As soon as he received the call, Almeida was frightened to learn that the virus in Paulina's body had taken up residence.

He hung up the phone, ran to Sener's room and picked up the sleeping Sener.

"What's wrong?" Sener looked upset at having his sleep interrupted.

"The virus has attacked."

"What?" Sener looked at Almeida with a puzzled look on his face, the words made no sense to him.

"Paulina, the virus in Paulina's body has triggered."

Sener's face changed and he jumped out of bed, "Come on, let's check it out!".

Seeing him run off in a frenzy, Almeida laughed helplessly and followed him.

Almeida and Sener arrived at the hospital and immediately performed a physical examination on Paulina.

Marcos stared at her in silence.

Almeida and Sener looked at each other, both with a slightly stony expression on their faces.

After the examination, they approached Marcos and bowed their heads respectfully, "Prince, as the Second Prince suspected, the virus in Paulina's body is indeed showing signs of attack." Marcos slowly clenched his hands, although he had been prepared for this, his heart fluttered when it was actually confirmed.

"What's going on?" asked Marcos quietly.

Almeida pondered for a moment, "The virus in Paulina's body should be reasonably contained and would not have easily broken out. Is it possible that Paulina has been tired lately?" Surely it was because people were tired.

Marcos closed his eyes as regret flooded him.

He should have stopped her earlier and not made her work so hard.

At that moment, Almeida added, "Prince, besides, we have extracted a strange drug from Paulina's blood."

Hearing that, Marcos let out a scream and opened his eyes, and his hard gaze turned to Almeida: "What did you say?"

"This drug is something Sener and I had never encountered before."

Here, Almeida paused for a few seconds before continuing, "If I'm right, this drug may be the root cause of the virus triggering." Marcos' face instantly turned ugly.

Almeida and Sener could feel the coldness emanating from his body, and although they were used to it, they couldn't help but feel fear. The word "Cha" came coldly from Marcos' thin lips.

"Yes, Prince." Almeida and Sener bowed their heads in respect.

Marcos returned to the bed, his gaze settled on Paulina's small, pale face, his heart clenched at the thought of the virus inside her body. Seeing this, Sener spoke, "Prince, don't worry, with me and Almeida here, Paulina will be fine."

"What if ..." Marcos' eyes narrowed, "What will happen to Paulina if the virus fully attacks?"

Sener and Almeida looked at each other and thought for a moment as well before saying carefully, "Actually Paulina already experienced a virus attack and went through a ghost door repeatedly." It was the same thing Alvaro had said.

But it was so important that he had forgotten it.

Once again, Marcos hated himself, hated himself for having lost his memory.

His heart was pounding at the thought that Paulina had gone through such a dangerous time.

"Prince, this time the situation is so sudden that for the time being we will have to use medication to keep the virus under control." said Almeida.

Marcos turned his head to look at him, "How long can it be suppressed?".

"I'm not sure." Almeida didn't dare to be too definitive.

Marcos frowned at the answer, "Can't anything be done?"

"Not really." Sener said, "We've been working on an effective drug to deal with the virus, but so far it's not working very well. We have to keep researching." Marcos was silent for a few seconds, "Whatever you do, you have to save Paulina."

Almeida nodded, "We know that. We will accelerate the research and develop a new drug to suppress the virus as soon as possible."

"Hard work guys." said Marcos.

Almeida and Sener were instantly flattered.

"Prince, this is what we should do, it's not hard work at all." Sener said hastily.

"You guys go back."

"Yes."

Almeida and Sener turned to leave.

When they reached the door, Sener stopped and looked back at Marcos, who was sitting beside the hospital bed, looking doubtful, before turning to approach him. "Prince."

At the sound of her voice, Marcos turned his head to the side.

"This is very strange, you'd better check the people around you."

Marcos frowned.

"Paulina's blood would have strange drugs in it, it must be artificial. You must investigate thoroughly."

Marcos nodded slightly, indicating that he knew.

Sener stood on tiptoe, ready to leave, when suddenly something occurred to him and he withdrew his foot.

"Prince, it is possible for the drug to enter through food, but it is also possible by other means, and you would do well to check the people around you."

The people around you?

Mark narrowed his eyes, with a cold stare, and his thin lips parted, "I'll replace out as soon as I can."

Sener ducked and turned to leave.

Shortly after he left, Alvaro pushed open the door and entered.

"How's it going, brother?" he asked, concerned.

"It's true that the virus is showing signs of attack." Marcos' brow furrowed, "In the end it's all my fault. If I had been a little firmer, your sister-in-law wouldn't have gotten sick." Guilt and remorse overwhelmed him like a tidal wave.

It had only been a few days since he had taken her to the hospital to be checked out, knowing full well that something was wrong with her health, but he had let her go and not stopped her. In the end, it was all his fault.

"Don't blame yourself, brother." Alvaro leaned on his shoulder, "This was so sudden, something we didn't expect at all. And it wasn't necessarily caused by my sister-in-law's tiredness." Marcos was silent for a few seconds before speaking slowly, "Someone drugged Paulina."
