Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1508: All for me?

At the sound of his voice, Lisa stood up abruptly and ran to the door.

At the sight of Bergerian, her face flushed with joy, but it quickly faded and she growled coldly, "What are you doing here?"

"Have you had breakfast?" asked Bergerian.

His voice, surprisingly, was not as cold as before and there was a touch of tenderness in it.

Lisa thought she was crazy, why else would she think his voice had gotten softer?

She remembered how cold he had been to her, and even though his attitude had changed, it must have been because of that bitch Paulina!

Lisa silently told herself not to fall under his spell or she would be the one to lose out.

"I haven't eaten yet, you're not going to buy me breakfast are you?" Lisa's mouth curved into a small grimace.

Bergerian raised an eyebrow, "You seem to have realized my intentions, so ... suits you?"

Lisa opened her mouth to say no, but when she thought about the fact that it had been a long time since they'd had breakfast together, she couldn't say no. They arrived at the restaurant on the third floor of the hotel and Bergerian very gently pulled the chair over to her before sitting down across from her.

In all their years of marriage, he had never been so attentive to her, other than feigning affection in front of strangers.

Lisa looked at him with a complicated look; if it had been in the past, she would have been very happy.

But now, she knew very well that he had an agenda.

Still, her heart couldn't help but flutter for him.

As he ordered, Bergerian looked deeply at Lisa, a slight smile on his lips, "No black coffee for breakfast."

When he finished, he turned to the waiter and said, "Milk instead."

Lisa looked at him stunned.

It was the first time he had ever cared about her...

Bergerian finished his order, saw her stunned, reached out in front of her and whispered, "Lisa."

Lisa looked back, met his puzzled gaze, immediately averted her eyes and said coolly, "You don't have to make things difficult for Paulina."

She knew very well whether he had feelings for her or not.

At those words, a strange light quickly swept under Bergerian's eyes, and then, puzzled, he said, "It's just the two of us here, why mention anyone else, we should enjoy our time together, shouldn't we?" "Enjoy?" Lisa snorted coldly, "If you were serious about it, why did you divorce me?"

Bergerian pondered for a moment, "You don't even know why I want a divorce?"

"No." Lisa replied with a straight face.

"Have you forgotten that you used the Agnelli Family to withdraw your partnership with me, making me lose a lot of money?".

Lisa couldn't have forgotten, she looked away sheepishly, "How could I have done what I did if you hadn't been so obsessed with that bitch Paulina?"

It was her fault after all!

"You're not trusting me." Bergerian said.

At the mention of "trust," Lisa's emotions ran high: "You talk to me about trust. How many institutes have you closed in the meantime, how many years of work have you ruined, and you tell me you didn't do it for Paulina?" "If I say I didn't, do you believe me?" Bergerian asked instead of answering.

"No, I don't believe you!"

Lisa all but blurted out.

"Since you don't believe me, there's no point in my saying more."

The two men fell silent.

Lisa stared at him with a death stare, thinking about her past, and she really didn't want the two of them to split up over a bitch.

A bitter smile tugged at Lisa's lips at the thought and having to face reality, "Bergerian, you really would have done anything for her.

I hate her, I hate that she broke up my marriage and destroyed my original happiness, so I'll never let her go!"

At these words, Bergerian's eyes flickered slightly, but his face remained unchanged.

He showed not a hint of anger or any other expression for fear that he might deepen his hatred for Paulina, and could only act as if he didn't care.

Seeing how calm he was, Lisa became more and more agitated in her place, "I can take you picking on other women out there because I know you don't have a heart, you don't move or feel anything for them!" "But you're not like that with Paulina, you have feelings for her!"

That was the biggest reason Lisa wanted to get rid of Paulina.

She and Bergerian had been married for years and Bergerian had never had a heart for her, not even in bed, just out of lust, never a shred of affection.

It wasn't enough!

It was too hard!

She had loved this man for so many years, and yet he had fallen in love with another woman!

What she couldn't have, no one else could have!

Bergerian's eyes narrowed, "Where do you see that I'm in love with Paulina?"

"If you weren't, why did you follow me to J-Town right after I arrived, wasn't it because you were afraid I'd hurt the bitch?"

Bergerian's eyes were downcast, making it impossible to tell what emotions he was feeling at the moment.

The more Lisa thought about it, the more hatred she felt for Paulina, and her otherwise beautiful features turned into a scowl.

"I tell you, Bergerian, I won't stop until I get what I want this time!"

Bergerian raised his head, his warm gaze settling on her fierce face, the corners of his mouth curling up, "Do you really think I came to J-Town because I was afraid you'd hurt Paulina?"

Lisa grimaced, not uttering a sound.

Bergerian turned his head to look out the window and said in an indifferent tone, "I've dealt with Marcos and he's not a simple man. You think you can do anything to Paulina with the few men you have with you? That's really naive. If you mess with Marcos, you won't even know how you're going to die then."

Lisa thought about how the men she had sent over the past few days had no way of doing anything at all, and irritation came over her once again; as much as she hated to admit it, Marcos really couldn't be underestimated.

"I'm here to dissuade you for your own good." Hearing that, Bergerian sighed heavily, "Unfortunately, you didn't appreciate it at all."

He stood up, "Since you don't appreciate it, I will go to my country first, take your time to spend here."

After saying this, he turned around and prepared to leave.

He was betting.

Betting that Lisa would call him.

"Bergerian!" asked Lisa, unable to contain herself, standing up, looking behind her back and asking with a glimmer of hope, "Is it true what you said?"

Bergerian's mouth curved into a smile, but the next moment it was gone. He slowly turned his head and looked at her expressionlessly.

"Bergerian, do you have any feelings for me in your heart?" Lisa looked at him expectantly.

Bergerian didn't answer directly, but said, "Last year your father lost several hundred million dollars in failed investments, who paid him back?

Last year, the Agnelli family nearly fell apart because of bad business deals, who stepped forward to save the day and preserve the honor of the Agnelli family?" Lisa smiled bitterly, "It was you. Whatever trouble my family has had, you've always helped."

"And why do you think I've helped, just because I'm your parents' son-in-law?"

Wasn't it?

Lisa looked at him blankly.

"You still don't seem to understand what I mean."

Bergerian turned away disappointed.

At that moment Lisa reacted and hastened to stop him, "So you did all this for me, to help?" Bergerian didn't answer, but looked deeply at her.
