Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1547: He had to mess it up himself.

The next day, Paulina got up early and, seeing that her back wasn't hurting so much, she thought she'd go downstairs and prepare breakfast for the three children. By the time she had prepared breakfast, Marcos was already leading the little ones downstairs.

The aroma of fried eggs filled the air and Sweety clutched her nose and inhaled, "That smells so good!"

And with that, she broke Mark's grip and ran to climb on her hands and knees onto her son's chair. "Mom, where's my breakfast?" She called out to Paulina, who was still busy in the kitchen.

Paulina washed her hands and came out of the kitchen with the cut sandwich and set it on the table. "Are you in such a hurry for breakfast, you little glutton?"

Sweety looked at her and smiled, "I'm starving."

Paulina laughed, "Okay, Mommy will fix it for you."

She then put a fried egg and a sandwich on Sweety's plate and poured her a glass of milk.

At that moment, Jimmy, who had been carried into the baby seat by Marcos, suddenly burst into tears.

"I want mommy, I want mommy..."

Marcos stood still and a little lost.

Paulina rushed over and picked Toto up, patting him gently on the back and coaxing him, "Jimmy behave yourself, don't cry, eat your breakfast and your aunt will take you to mommy, okay?" Jimmy sniffled and made a pitiful face with tears running down his eyelashes.

"Really?" asked Jimmy.

Paulina smiles, "Of course it's true."

She sits Jimmy back in the little chair and grabs the bottle from the table and hands it to him, "When you've had your fill, we'll go get Mommy."

Jimmy grabbed the bottle with both hands and drank it obediently.

Relieved to see this, Paulina turned to Mark and said, "Come, let's have breakfast, then we'll go to the hospital to see Bonita."

"Okay." Marcos watched as she took a spit towel and wiped the corner of Jimmy's mouth, her gaze turned tender and the corners of her lips curved upward.

Her whole being radiated a soft, motherly glow that he couldn't look away from.

After breakfast, Marcos and Paulina took the three children to the hospital.

As soon as they entered the room, Jimmy stumbled onto the bed on his short legs, "Mom!".

Seeing her son softened Bonita's heart.

She reached out and stroked her son's little head and gently asked, "Have you listened to your aunt and uncle?"

"He is very obedient. He drinks milk in the morning and eats a small snack." Paulina came over and smiled.

"Did he?" Bonita pinched her son's cheek, "Our Jimmy is great."

"Mom, does it still hurt? Is that sister in your tummy okay?". asked Jimmy in a milky voice.

Bonita rubbed her bulging belly, "Mommy doesn't hurt anymore and her sister is fine."

Sweety walked over and stood on her tiptoes, leaning on the edge of the bed with one hand and reaching out with the other to touch Bonita's belly. "Be good, don't overwork Mommy." Sweety's words made several adults in the room laugh.

"Sweety's a good girl." Bonita smiled and rubbed her head.

"Paulina, it's been hard on you." Ms. Gloria said softly to Paulina.

If she hadn't saved Bonita in time and helped with the children, the house would have been a real mess.

Paulina smiled, "Mom, you don't have to be so polite as a family."

Mrs. Gloria looked at her and then at Bonita and sighed, "I have been blessed in my life to have two such understanding daughters-in-law, I am truly blessed." Paulina and Bonita looked at each other and smiled in unison.

Later, Paulina saw Mrs. Gloria yawning from time to time and said, "Mom, you and Alvaro should go back and rest, I'll keep an eye on Bonita."

Mrs. Gloria sought Alvaro's opinion.

Alvaro refused, "Mom, you and your sister-in-law go home first, I can watch Bonita."

"You've been taking care of her all night, are you okay physically?" Paulina saw the blue and black under his eyes and knew he hadn't rested the night before.

"Of course I can." Alvaro smiled, "I'm not that fragile, besides Bonita is fine, so you can all go home peacefully."

Besides, he knew his sister-in-law hadn't fully recovered and he didn't want to force her.

"But..."

"Just listen to Alvaro." Marcos grabbed Paulina's hand and interrupted her.

Paulina turned her head to look at him and sighed, "Fine. But if you need my help, call me." Alvaro nodded, "Okay."

At Alvaro's insistence, Paulina had to take the children and go back first.

Marcos took them home and went straight to the office.

Just as he entered the office, the call came from Eliazar.

"Prince, I've sent a message to your email address about Chris' investors abroad."

Marcos quickly went to his desk and sat down, opened the computer and checked his email.

He soon discovered the clues.

One of the investors, Jack, had made his fortune by laundering money and manipulating the stock market in such a sophisticated way that the police had long been investigating, but had never been able to replace evidence. The money he invested in Chris's company did not come from regular channels, and Eliazar had found sufficient evidence. Once he reported it to the police, Chris was destined to be implicated and even investigated. In serious cases, all his companies would have to close.

Marcos stood up, walked slowly to the floor-to-ceiling window and did not mince words, "You've done a good job this time."

Eliazar was pleased, but then asked, "What now, do we wait or what?"

Marcos' eyes narrowed, "We'll do what we have to do, Chris may not have clean hands, and if we delve into this, he'll get himself in trouble."

He wouldn't have the heart to join forces with the Rawlins against the Leoz Group.

"Prince, I know what to do."

Marcos hung up the phone with a dangerous glint in his eye, this time to see how Chris would resolve his crisis!
