Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1563: Find Him Something Else to Do

When the family found out that Marcos and Paulina were dating, everyone had an unspoken message.

Marcos had been too busy to spend time with Paulina during this time period, and now that he was easily free, he definitely wanted to spend more time with her. Esteban was very understanding and took on the responsibility of taking care of his sister and putting her to bed when his parents were away.

The next morning, Paulina woke up in Marcos' arms, and when she opened her eyes, her face rested on mine.

A small tremor ran through her heart.

Even though she was an old married woman, her heart still fluttered for him.

She reached up and gently brushed his forehead with her sword, running her fingertips along his cheek and the crisp line of his jaw.

As she continued downward, her wrist was suddenly grabbed.

Startled, she looked up to meet a pair of inky dark eyes.

"What for?" the corners of her mouth curved upward in a seemingly unmistakable way, freshly awakened from a nap, her voice low and husky, inexplicably somehow sexual. Sexy.

"I'm... I'm not doing anything." Paulina looked like a child caught doing something wrong, a little vain.

"Did you sleep well?" asked Marcos.

At his question, memories of the night before flooded Paulina's head and her face flushed.

"What do you think?" she lowered her eyes and asked softly.

Looking at her shy face, Mark hugged her tighter and kissed her hair, "I wish I could be with you like this every day."

But it was such a simple wish that it was difficult to fulfill.

"I'm already happy and blessed that you take the time to be with me." Paulina raised her head again and looked at him deeply, "You don't have time for me, but I can be there for you, and when I have recovered, I will be there for your journey, just like before."

Mark lowered his eyes and looked into her clear pupils, the corners of his lips turned up, "Good."

The two embraced in silence for a while before getting up and washing up.

When they left the villa, Paulina was reluctant to leave, "Next time bring Esteban and Sweety with you."

Marcos took her hand in his and gave her a soft "yes" as a sign of his commitment to her.

Marcos left Paulina at home and went straight to the office to start the day.

As soon as he arrived at the office, Alfredo informed him, "Prince, Bergeriano is out of the hospital."

Marcos' feet hit the floor and his eyes narrowed with a hint of sternness, "He's healing fast."

"Prince, is this the end of the matter?" asked Alfredo.

He thought the subway casino would be enough to take Bergerian down this time, but he didn't expect Bergerian to be all right at all.

Marcos gave him a sidelong glance, sensing the resignation on his face, "Don't be in a hurry. Now that he's out, let's replace him something else to do."

Alfredo's eyes lit up, "Good."

If the prince said that, he must have a way of dealing with Bergerian.

That same day, it was reported that Bergerian's company had irregular channels for the supply of medicines, and the relevant authorities immediately stepped in to investigate. When he received the news, Bergerian had just returned to his residence from the hospital and had not even warmed his buttocks when he received the call from his assistant. "President, the company has been reported through drug supply channels ..."

"What?" Bergerian frowned and turned his head to look at Carl.

"The Bureau of Industry and Commerce people are now investigating at the company, do you want to come...?" the assistant asked cautiously from the other end of the phone. "The batch of drugs they brought in earlier from S City, where are they stored in the warehouse, move them immediately." ordered Bergerian in a gravelly voice. "President, don't worry, we are moving it."

After Bergerian hung up the phone, Carl took the floor and asked, "Sir, what do I need to do?"

Bergerian narrowed his eyes, a grim look in them, "Now run to the company, get the shipping list, and if there's a problem, blame it all on the manufacturer downstairs." "Yes." Carl directed the order and hurried off.

Bergerian sat on the couch, his face frighteningly grim and his hands clenched into fists.

This had happened as soon as he was discharged from the hospital, Mark was getting faster and faster.

Carl ran to the office, found the shipping list and was about to breathe a sigh of relief when he saw the man in the business office answer a phone call, not knowing what was being said, the man turned his head to look at him with a slightly glazed look on his face.

"Mr. Carl, I'm afraid we need you to take us through." The other man spoke politely.

"What do you mean?" Carl didn't understand.

"Your company's warehouse 36 has detected a batch of non-compliant drugs."

Carl was startled, but quickly calmed down and sketched a smile, "Is it a mistake? How is it possible for our company to have non-compliant drugs?"

"Indeed, it was checked in warehouse 36, so take me there." The other party motioned for him to lead the way.

Carl could only do as he was told, and led them to warehouse 36.

When they arrived, they found his men under the control of the other side and two boxes of drugs on the floor, drugs they had failed to move in time.

As soon as he saw the drugs, Carl knew it was over.

Bergerian waited at home for news from the company, but as the minutes ticked by uneventfully, he stepped back a bit and was about to get up and go to the office himself.

At that moment, the doorbell rang.

The butler quickly went to open the door.

As soon as the door opened and he saw the police outside, the butler's face changed, he turned around and hurried inside.

Several policemen followed him.

"Sir, it's the police." The butler ran to Bergerian and reported in terror.

Bergerian looked up and when he saw the police behind him, the hands that fell to his side closed silently, his face as if he didn't know, "Can I help you?"

The other man flashed his ID, "Mr. Bergerian, we have found a shipment of irregular drugs in your warehouse and we need you to come with us now and cooperate with our investigation." "Irregular drugs?"

Bergerian feigned confusion and then cooperatively said, "However, since it was found in our company's warehouse, I will certainly cooperate. Even though I am a foreigner, I will strictly abide by the laws and regulations of your country." "That would be best."

The other party gave him a meaningful look and then turned to the side, gesturing for him to follow them.

When they arrived at the police station, Bergerian remained calm and collected, keeping a smile on his face at all times. "Don't worry, Mr. Policeman, I will certainly be honest with you about everything I know."

The policeman in charge of his interrogation nodded, "Good."

He then pulled out a box of medicine and placed it on the table, "Is this the medicine your company has brought?".

When Bergerian saw the medicine box, a strange light quickly shone under his eyes. "Yes, this is the medicine we brought, but what's wrong with it?".
