Chapter 164: I'm her boyfriend

The project had been negotiated and Eloise Thompson's mind was finally set. She was in a hurry to leave, but as soon as she had taken two steps, her whole body began to stagger, her consciousness became increasingly blurred, and then she passed out...

Linn Dail's pupils flinched and his whole body went into shock as Hector Rogers was quick on his feet and put his arm around Eloise Thompson.

Hector Rogers' face turned a little grim and he opened his mouth to ask Linn Dail angrily, "What's going on?"

Linn Dail, a little confused by Hector Rogers yelling, stammered and spoke, "Eloise has a high fever today and I've been trying to talk her out of not coming over and she won't listen."

Having said that, Linn Dail looked at Eloise Thompson with concern.

Mr Orson on the sidelines was a little more impressed with Eloise Thompson's work ethic.

Hector Rogers reached out and touched Eloise Thompson's forehead, and it was scary hot.

Reeva Lawson's eyes sank slightly as she hurriedly stepped forward and said, "Hector, the president of the HN Group is still waiting over there! Let's get Miss Eloise's assistant to take her to the hospital first!"

"You take care of business here." With that said, Hector Rogers scooped Eloise Thompson right up by the waist and marched out of the party, followed by Linn Dail.

Reeva Lawson stood in a daze, unable to speak a word.

Looking at the backs of Hector Rogers and Eloise Thompson, her gaze was very sombre.

The ward fell into silence as Hector Rogers sat on the sidelines watching Eloise Thompson's pale face.

The silly woman, who was so feverish and still going to work, sighed Hector Rogers, a little helpless for a moment, and just stayed quietly with her.

That night, Eloise Thompson was dizzy and didn't wake up until after 3am.

Dazed, Eloise Thompson opened her eyes and all she could feel was a dry mouth and her whole body felt like it was detached and uncomfortable.

Hector Rogers was sleeping on the sofa when he woke up and saw that Eloise Thompson wanted a drink of water and poured her a glass.

After drinking a glass of water, Eloise Thompson felt more comfortable and looked at Hector Rogers and her surroundings before she realised that she was in a hospital.

"How did I get here?" Eloise Thompson inquired as she opened her mouth, a little overwhelmed by the situation for a moment.

Hector Rogers spoke up in response, "You fainted at the party and I brought you here."

Eloise Thompson thought about it and it does seem to be the case.

"What a pain in the arse, why stay here yourself when you can just have Linn Dail watch from here."

Eloise Thompson couldn't help but be a little sorry to have kept him from work again, but of course, was equally moved.

"How can I feel comfortable leaving when you're like this." Having said that, Hector Rogers poured another glass of water and then handed Eloise Thompson the medication the doctor had just prescribed. "Take your medicine first."

Eloise Thompson said thank you and took the water and medicine. After taking the medicine, Hector Rogers took her temperature again and the fever had gone down a bit, but it was still not normal enough and Hector Rogers frowned slightly.

"Go on and get some sleep! You need to get some rest now and not get a recurring fever."

Eloise Thompson nodded and lay down on the bed again, she was going to persuade Hector Rogers to go back and rest, she could be here alone for one, but thought the man probably wouldn't leave easily!

Probably because of the medication, Eloise Thompson wanted to say something but didn't have the energy and fell asleep in a daze, not knowing why, only feeling inexplicably at ease.

Hector Rogers tucks Eloise Thompson in and just stays quietly with her.

Reeva Lawson followed the head of the branch office to meet many clients at the banquet, but he did not return until the party was over.

After a shower, she waited in her room for a long time, but there was still no news of Hector Rogers' return.

Reeva Lawson sat on the sofa with a glass of red wine in her hand, her mind going back to Hector Rogers' worried and nervous look just now, why on earth? Why did he like that woman so much? What was so great about her, Eloise Thompson, that woman was nothing compared to herself.

Reeva Lawson drained her glass of red wine in a depressed manner.

Reeva Lawson thought it was Hector Rogers who had returned to the hotel and she opened the door to check on him.

It was Linn Dail, and Reeva Lawson's gaze dimmed as she spoke inquiringly, "You're Miss Eloise's assistant, aren't you? Excuse me, where is Hector?"

Linn Dail, still in shock and confused for a moment, froze and replied, "Mr Hector stayed at the hospital to look after Eloise."

Reeva Lawson nodded and said nothing more, and when she returned to her room, she was so angry that she smashed the red wine glass on the table. There was a harsh cracking sound in the quiet room.

Reeva Lawson was blue in the face, why? Why was Hector Rogers being so nice to her Eloise Thompson.

Every time something happens to that woman, Hector Rogers leaves himself behind for her and now has to spend the night in hospital looking after her. Reeva Lawson's gaze was grim, her heart wanting to kill with jealousy.
