Chapter 171: The Year of the Missing

When she arrived home, the maid picked up Reeva Lawson's luggage and walked into the living room in a tired state, Reeva's mother smiled and asked, "Reeva, how did it go? Where is Hector? Didn't he send you back?" After a long flight, Reeva Lawson was already tired, and with Hector Rogers and Eloise Thompson leaving together, Reeva's mother's words were the trigger that brought out all of Reeva Lawson's pent up emotions. Reeva Lawson was so angry that she smashed everything on the table.

She was so fed up with Hector Rogers throwing himself away for Eloise Thompson over and over again, she must have Eloise Thompson gone, she must! Reeva Lawson cried out frantically in her mind.

Reeva's mother was taken aback and at this, Reeva's father frowned slightly and reprimanded, "This is unbecoming of you as a princess!"

Reeva Lawson knew she was being a little impulsive as she sat down on the sofa with a grim look on her face.

Reeva's mother took her hand and asked, "What is going on? Why are you so angry for no reason? Did you have a bad time with Hector?" Reeva's mother knows her daughter's character and would not have been so angry if something serious had not happened.

Reeva Lawson rubbed her brow and told her parents about everything that had happened in the last few days abroad.

"Dad, Mum, you don't even know that Hector has abandoned me several times because of Eloise Thompson, and even if I left one person at the party the night before last, now I've been told straight away to go back home myself." Reeva Lawson, who thought that she could really steal back Hector Rogers on this trip abroad, reluctantly and deliberately flirted with him after Eloise Thompson, through Egbert Chumley, tried to sow discord between the two of them. Everything should have gone according to plan, but instead of falling out, Hector Rogers and Eloise Thompson have grown closer.

"Mum, I've never seen Hector like this before, he couldn't have been more nervous when he saw Eloise Thompson faint at the party and he left his job straight away to look after the bitch in hospital all night and now he doesn't know where he's taken her."

After hearing this, both Reeva's mother and Reeva's father's eyes sank.

"That little bitch has got some skills!"

"Mom, Hector's mind is all over her right now, keep this up ..."

Trying to snatch Hector Rogers back himself was probably out of the question and Reeva Lawson thought about giving up, but his heart was in the right place.

How could she be willing to marry Hector Rogers when she had worked so hard for so many years to do so.

Reeva's mother frowned slightly and said, "I spoke to your Auntie Ken the other day and she said that Hector seems to have made up his mind about this woman and it's out of her hands as a mother."

Matriarch Rogers didn't like Eloise Thompson, but she knew her son's nature and couldn't possibly fall out with Hector Rogers over it.

How could the Lawson family be willing to see their long-established son-in-law taken away from them by someone else, a woman like Eloise Thompson, who is no match for Reeva?

But now, Matriarch Rogers that there was nothing they could do about it.

Thinking about Reeva's father, he said, "Didn't you get in touch with the Thompson family? Find out what happened to Eloise Thompson the year she disappeared?"

"Yes! The Thompson family must know what's going on? A woman missing for a year and being so secretive, there must be something untoward going on, maybe ..."

Reeva Lawson froze, "Say maybe what?"

"It's possible that during the year Eloise Thompson hooked up with someone else and got pregnant and had a baby."

Reeva Lawson was stunned, "How, that can't be right?"

Reeva Lawson was instantly refreshed, remembering her earlier research into Eloise Thompson's profile.

Reeva Lawson's confidence was burning, and just then her mobile phone rang, and it was Robbie Gardner calling.

The corners of Reeva Lawson's mouth ticked up... what a thought!

Pick up the phone and Robbie Gardner's voice comes across the line.

"Miss Reeva, it's Robbie Gardner, I don't know if you have time, there's a bit of a problem with the project and I'd like to talk to you."

Reeva Lawson smiled and said, "Of course I have! I just got back from abroad today, so tomorrow!"

Across the room Robbie Gardner beamed, "Okay."

"Well, by the way, Mr Robbie can you bring Miss Eloise along? I've had a good chat with her before and it would be good to have a beauty appointment with her after the project?"

Reeva Lawson knew that Robbie Gardner was a cautious man and it would be difficult to get information from him, and as he was a businessman, he was always interested in profit, and it would cost him a lot to get information from Robbie Gardner. I don't know if he would have protected her.

But not this Agnes Thompson, who, as Reeva Lawson well knows, hates Eloise Thompson more than anyone else, and is a silly pregnant woman to boot, and it's much easier to get information out of her.

"Got it." Agnes Thompson bristled, but in the back of her mind she was still secretly intent on helping Reeva Lawson fight for Hector Rogers, how she couldn't possibly watch that Eloise Thompson woman and Hector Rogers together.
