Chapter 172: How dare you hit me

On the island, Eloise Thompson had enough fun and returned home with Hector Rogers the next day.

As the plane flew into the country and looked out of the window, Eloise Thompson couldn't help but speak up, "It's a shame that Solomon isn't here this time."

It would have been nice to have the little guy around, thought Eloise Thompson with a little regret.

At that, Hector Rogers responded, "Just bring her along next time."

Eloise Thompson didn't speak, her eyes flickering slightly, next time? Could she come next time? Can't come, can you?

Looking back on yesterday, Eloise Thompson feels like a dream, the memory, the one that will always stick in her mind, and the different Hector Rogers.

Arriving in the country, Eloise Thompson's first order of business was to report to the office.

Inside the office, Layla Davidson complimented Eloise Thompson some more.

"I also got a message from Mr Orson on my side, he seems to appreciate you, well done, go back and get some rest today and come back to work tomorrow." Eloise Thompson smiled, "Yes, thank you Manager Layla."

After leaving the office, many of her colleagues came to congratulate Eloise Thompson on taking on another big project.

After thanking everyone, Eloise Thompson headed to the bathroom, not expecting to meet Catherine Greaves on her way out.

Looking at each other, Eloise Thompson was clearly aware of Catherine Greaves' unkind gaze and she was not going to pay any attention, but Catherine Greaves stopped her in her tracks.

"Eloise Thompson, what are you so proud of? What underhanded tactics were used to negotiate this project again?" Catherine Greaves spoke sarcastically.

Despite Layla Davidson's claims that Eloise Thompson had stayed up all night working on the proposal and was ill for the party, Catherine Greaves was not convinced that she had won the project on her own merits - after all, she hadn't managed to get this Mr Orson for a month, so how could she, Eloise Thompson?

"I heard you fainted at the party, Eloise Thompson, not bad, pretending to be ill for sympathy. What happened afterwards? Teach me! Let me learn how you seduced someone before Mr Orson agreed to sign you up." Eloise Thompson's gaze sank, thinking only of Catherine Greaves souring in her mind and not intending to pay any attention to it, but the man in front of her would not relent.

"Why don't you say something? Eloise Thompson, how is Mr Orson's strength? He's not as old as Mr Egbert and Mr Hector, is he? Oh no, look what I'm saying, how could Mr Hector be interested in someone like you?" At the words, a slap rang out and Catherine Greaves' face burst into flames as she covered her face and glared at Eloise Thompson in front of her. "Eloise Thompson, how dare you hit me."

Eloise Thompson, with a cool look on her face, spoke indifferently, "If you didn't do a good job, you're still thinking nasty thoughts, so don't do it again or I'll be rude."

Having said that, Eloise Thompson left, she always had a good personality, but people have tempers, and how could she possibly put up with it when Catherine Greaves had said what she had said.

Catherine Greaves stomped in place in anger, shouting behind her back, "Eloise Thompson, aren't you afraid I'll tell Manager Layla that you're beating up a colleague at work, do you want to get on with it?" Eloise Thompson ignored it and left the office with a single step.

Catherine Greaves ended up complaining to Layla Davidson, covering her face and looking aggrieved.

"Manager Layla, this Eloise Thompson is too arrogant, I just said a few words to her and she hit me, Manager Layla, I'm even swollen, you must do something for me!"

Layla Davidson frowned slightly, "Eloise hit you?" Catherine Greaves, did you say something outrageous, Eloise has always had a good temper, she wouldn't have hit you if you hadn't provoked her!" "I didn't." Catherine Greaves was furious.

She thought to herself how she had known Layla Davidson for many years and she had been beaten up and any more, Layla Davidson would have reprimanded Eloise Thompson, but now ...

Layla Davidson is surprisingly trusting of Eloise Thompson and thinks it's her fault when she's the one being beaten!

Layla Davidson does believe in her heart that Eloise Thompson wouldn't hit someone for no reason, but on the contrary, there's so much resentment in Catherine Greaves these days that she probably provoked Eloise Thompson herself! With that in mind, Layla Davidson dismissed Catherine Greaves with a random excuse and went back to her work.

As she walked out of the office, Catherine Greaves clenched her fingers in anger, and completely took Eloise Thompson to task.

Eloise Thompson came home, packed her things up and then simply slept.

Hector Rogers had just returned home and had a lot of work to do, so he couldn't make the trip.

When he opened the door and saw Eloise Thompson, Solomon jumped into her arms, wearing the clothes Eloise Thompson had just bought a few days before, not too big, not too small, just right, and looking cool. "Auntie Eloise! You're finally back, Solomon missed you."

Eloise Thompson couldn't help but smile at the sound of her little one's soft voice.

"Auntie Eloise misses Solomon too!"

As she said this, she carried Solomon into the house.

"Auntie Eloise, daddy is so bad, he didn't even take me with him to look for you abroad, did you have a good time the last few days?"

The day before, he wanted to go with Auntie Eloise, but Daddy wouldn't let him, and then the next day after school, he heard that Daddy was going to America without him!

"Quite happy." Eloise Thompson smiled, looking at Solomon's puffy face and couldn't resist a squeeze.

Solomon relied on Eloise Thompson's arms and continued to speak, "Auntie Eloise just have fun and next time remember to make sure you bring me along."

Seeing Solomon's expectant look, Eloise Thompson couldn't possibly say if there would be a next time, she smiled and nodded, "Yes! I'll be sure to bring Solomon along next time."

If possible, Eloise Thompson would like to see the three of them go on a trip together, to the island, or anywhere else.

After chatting with Solomon for a while, Eloise Thompson got up to make dinner.

Throughout the meal, Solomon ate happily, no, from the moment he met Eloise Thompson to be precise.

After the meal, the driver came to pick Solomon up to leave and Eloise Thompson gave him the gift she had bought in America.

Solomon looked at the robot, his eyes couldn't have been more excited that Auntie Eloise was due to bring him a present, she hadn't forgotten herself even when she was out of the country, the little guy was overjoyed to say the least. "Thank you Auntie Eloise, you have been so good to Solomon, Solomon must work hard to earn money when he grows up and buy Auntie Eloise lots of food and clothes."

At that, Eloise Thompson couldn't help but smile.

"You're welcome, well, get back to it!"

"Well, Auntie Eloise goodbye."

After exchanging greetings, Solomon bounced off after the driver.

Eloise Thompson watched his back with a soft gaze.
