Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 181: Knowing your past like the back of your hand
Eloise Thompson stared at the screen of her mobile phone in fascination until the sound of Solomon's voice came through. "Auntie Eloise, what are you doing?"
Eloise Thompson looked over at Solomon and smiled, "Solomon, we're out of dressing, I forgot to buy it, you stay home, Auntie Eloise will be right back."
At these words, Solomon nodded obediently.
"Okay, Auntie Eloise, get on with it then!"
After locking the door and settling Solomon, Eloise Thompson walked downstairs.
She wondered how Reeva Lawson knew she lived here. But on second thought it became clear that she liked Hector Rogers so much that she must have investigated herself to the hilt! Walking to the entrance of the block, Eloise Thompson met Reeva Lawson in a pale blue dress, carrying the latest LV bag and exuding an air of elegance and class all over.
Eloise Thompson walked over and spoke lightly in greeting.
"Miss Reeva."
Reeva Lawson looked at Eloise Thompson and, without beating around the bush, said, "Miss Eloise, I'm sure you know why I came to see you. You are not good enough for Hector and I would like you to leave him of your own accord." Reeva Lawson would not approve of a woman of Eloise Thompson's stature being with Hector Rogers, not to mention a woman who has given birth to a child.
At these words, Eloise Thompson's eyes flickered slightly and her face faded.
"Miss Reeva is too broad-minded! I don't need you to tell me who I am or am not worthy of company."
Eloise Thompson admits that there is a big gap between herself and Hector Rogers, and if Reeva Lawson had approached her some time ago, she would have had an inferiority complex and a hard time ... but now, Eloise Thompson wants to fight for herself too.
With Hector Rogers being so nice to himself, Eloise Thompson had to admit that they liked each other and there was probably some kind of misunderstanding in the scene where they ran into him and Reeva Lawson at the hospital earlier. Although it really was like two worlds between them, Eloise Thompson always felt it was still possible, and this time, she didn't want to give up and back out, which is why she came here to meet up with Reeva Lawson as well. Reeva Lawson smiled, sounding confident.
"Is that so?" Eloise Thompson, others may not know, but I know all about your past."
Eloise Thompson was stunned as she raised her eyes slightly to look at Reeva Lawson.
"What does Miss Reeva mean by this?"
I don't know why, but Eloise Thompson had a bad feeling in her heart that Reeva Lawson had come to her as if she was sure......
Reeva Lawson came here to get Eloise Thompson to leave Hector Rogers, so spoke bluntly, "Your good sister has told me all about your past, including the year you disappeared, and I don't need to tell you what you were doing during that time, do I?"
I have to say that Reeva Lawson really appreciates the Thompson family, otherwise watching Hector Rogers and Eloise Thompson get together, there really wasn't anything she could have done to stop it.
Eloise Thompson's face changed, she never thought that the surrogacy of six years ago would be revealed so suddenly, that Reeva Lawson would know about it?
For a moment, Eloise Thompson's hands clenched and her heart couldn't stop wincing in fear.
The incident was like a scar that she didn't want to be uncovered by anyone, especially someone connected to Hector Rogers.
"Miss Eloise, I have no intention of breaking this up in front of Hector Rogers, but I hope you have some sense, Auntie Matriarch would never approve of you entering the house if she knew about this, no, the entire Rogers family would not allow a woman like you to marry Hector. "
"You and Hector are supposed to be two worlds apart, what would he do if he knew you had given birth to a child?"
To be honest, Reeva Lawson couldn't quite figure out what Hector Rogers would do when he found out about it. Will he dislike Eloise Thompson and dump her? Or will he just pretend that nothing has happened and continue to be with this
woman.
Reeva Lawson has never seen him like someone so much, and she can't help but worry that if it does come out at Grandpa Fletcher's birthday party, what if Hector Rogers is still defending Eloise Thompson when the time comes? Today, however, Reeva Lawson figured out that this was something that she didn't want anyone to know about for Eloise Thompson, so why didn't she start with Eloise Thompson and force her to leave Hector Rogers of her own accord. Eloise Thompson's face went white as she listened to Reeva Lawson's words.
She thought that it might have remained uncovered and that she and Hector Rogers might be together as long as Hector Rogers or the Rogers family didn't know about it, but now ...
Watching Eloise Thompson's reaction, Reeva Lawson was pleased with the effect she had achieved and the corners of her mouth involuntarily lifted upwards.
"Miss Eloise, as long as you can leave Hector, I'll still keep this a secret and pretend I don't know anything about it, this leaving of your own accord will still leave a good impression on Hector and Solomon, but if you continue to tangle with them, don't blame me for being rude."
With that said, Reeva Lawson lifted her bag and stomped off on her heels.
Eloise Thompson sat in a daze, her fingers clenched tightly, her whole body trembling a little, as if her strength had been drained from her.
With Reeva Lawson's words still echoing in her mind, Eloise Thompson felt a little ridiculous, having seen Solomon's painting during the day and having a glimpse of it in her mind.
She felt that with a little effort she too could be a woman worthy of Hector Rogers and they might be able to be together too.
But now, with the revelation of what happened six years ago, Eloise Thompson feels nothing but a sourness in her heart.
Yes! She should have understood long ago that there is no impermeable wall in the world and sooner or later someone will know about this past.
Eloise Thompson told herself to stop hoping, that it was impossible between them.
She took a deep breath, Eloise Thompson's eyes were slightly red and she didn't know how long she had been sitting there. Suddenly remembering that Solomon was still at home, it was all she could do to hold back the tears in her eyes and gather her emotions before walking upstairs.
Happy to see Eloise Thompson back, Solomon greeted her and, seeing her empty hand, Solomon wondered, "Auntie Eloise, didn't you go shopping?"
Looking back, Eloise Thompson then reacted to the fact that she had bought everything back and she smiled as she explained, "The supermarket wasn't open."
"Huh?" Solomon was a little confused, weren't there a lot of supermarkets nearby? Had they all closed? The point was that it had taken so long to get there.
"Is Solomon hungry?" Eloise Thompson crouched down to change the subject.
The little one was honest enough to nod.
"Then I'll go and cook."
Eloise Thompson looked at the many groceries she had just bought and thought to herself, let this last night be a good one! After tomorrow, she would break off all thoughts of it.
