Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 256: Apology
Reeva Lawson just couldn't let go of her pride and barely managed to hang on for two more days.
The Lawson Group, however, had reached a point where its funding was completely cut off.
She was scared to death if Lawson Group did go bust...
Not daring to think about the consequences, she gritted her teeth and, with humiliation in her heart, reached out to Hector Rogers. Reeva Lawson tried to ask Hector Rogers out to meet him, but Hector Rogers balked.
She had to shy away and run to the Rogers Group.
As soon as she walked into the Rogers Group lobby, Reeva Lawson was stopped by security at the door just as she tried to take the lift up. "What are you doing? I'm Miss Lawson family, don't you know me?" Reeva Lawson glared at them, how dare they even stop her?
The security guards exchanged a few glances and said forcefully, "Miss Reeva, do you have an appointment with our Mr Hector, please?" Reeva Lawson shook her head, joke, did she need to make an appointment in advance when she came to see Hector Rogers? One of the security guards said, "I'm really sorry then, Miss Reeva, we can't let you in."
Reeva Lawson was asked to leave and drove off indignantly.
By the time the evening came, even though she was holding her breath inside, she had to go to Hector Rogers.
She waited until she saw Hector Rogers driving towards the Rogers family home at the junction and she immediately followed him.
No sooner had Hector Rogers walked in than she followed him in.
Hector Rogers' face went cold and he questioned her, "What are you doing here?"
Reeva Lawson stammered, turned red and apologised to him with great difficulty.
Hector Rogers, however, gave her a cold sweep, "I'm not the one you should be apologising to, it's Eloise."
What?
Reeva Lawson couldn't believe she was asked to come and apologise to Hector Rogers after such a long mental battle. Not to mention Eloise Thompson, who will never go.
Even if it means death, she will not go.
Reeva Lawson was so adamant that Hector Rogers had to kick her out, "Then there's nothing more to say, you go."
Reeva Lawson was not willing to leave when he was driven away.
And Hector's mother, who was upstairs and heard it, came down and looked at Reeva Lawson and sighed and advised Hector Rogers again, "I think that's about right, there's no need to really push you Uncle Tristan and the others to this extent."
Hector Rogers, however, always looked coldly at Reeva Lawson, who had a clear attitude and was clearly not going to change it.
Reeva Lawson will not stop until he apologises to Eloise Thompson in person and in good faith.
Reeva Lawson couldn't believe it, and her heart was aching to the point of suffocation.
After all she has done for Hector Rogers, not only can she not get his love in return, but she has even gotten to this point.
"Hector, are you really going to make our two families hostile for the sake of Eloise Thompson?" Reeva Lawson didn't know exactly what else she was expecting.
Not wanting to dwell too much on her, Hector Rogers had to say in Hector's mother, "Mom, I'll come and see you some other time."
With that, he too left without looking back.
When Reeva Lawson saw him leave, her eyes filled with hatred and resentment, she said goodbye to Hector's mother and left the old Rogers family home.
Once outside, she drove close behind Hector Rogers again.
Hector Rogers drove and went straight to the hospital.
It's Eloise Thompson again, he's come to see Eloise Thompson.
Reeva Lawson was so angry that she slammed the steering wheel of her car and almost crashed into a tree in the hospital car park.
She got out of the car and quietly followed Hector Rogers to the front of Eloise Thompson's hospital room.
Hector Rogers pushed his way in and within moments Reeva Lawson burst in without knocking.
Without any acknowledgement of wrongdoing, she turned to Eloise Thompson and as soon as she questioned, "Eloise Thompson, you've already taken Hector from me, can you stop hurting our Lawson Group?" Eloise Thompson froze when she heard Reeva Lawson's words.
She didn't understand what Reeva Lawson meant by this.
"Oh, what are you pretending to be confused about, didn't you ask Hector to force me to come and apologise to you?" Reeva Lawson was furious, "Now as you wish, our Lawson Group is in a difficult position and I have to come and beg your forgiveness, are you satisfied now?"
An apology?
Eloise Thompson has never seen such an apology before, and it would be more appropriate to call it an apology.
She thought about it and seemed to straighten the matter out.
She looked over at Hector Rogers in some disbelief, she could not have imagined that Hector Rogers would cause a conflict with the Lawson Group over her. After all, the Rogers Group and the Lawson Group are still friends after all these years; the Lawson Group is the Lawson Group and Reeva Lawson is Reeva Lawson. Two things that should be kept separate.
Eloise Thompson spoke up and said, "Hector, thank you for doing this for me. However, I wish you would stop targeting the Lawson Group."
She thought that all those phone calls in the ward that day would have been from the elders of both families.
She really didn't want to see Hector Rogers make things so difficult for her because of what happened to her.
"Miss Reeva, I forgive you." Even though Reeva Lawson had pushed her down that day and hadn't hit her lightly at all.
Seeing that she chose to forgive, Hector Rogers only coldly warned Reeva Lawson that she should not get ahead of herself again.
Reeva Lawson gave Eloise Thompson a hateful glare, fought back her anger and left the ward.
Eloise Thompson has to act as if she has been wronged when she is clearly making the most of it.
She, for one, would never have let Eloise Thompson off the hook like that.
...
After such a long stay in hospital, Eloise Thompson's wounds have healed.
The doctor told them that she could be discharged.
As long as the wound is kept out of water and the dressing is changed regularly, there is not much of a problem.
Hector Rogers picked her up from the hospital and took her straight to his place.
Eloise Thompson surprised by the refusal, still wants to go back.
But Hector Rogers said, "Eloise, you've got the ring on, you're my fiancée, and sooner or later you're going to have to move in with me." Eloise Thompson couldn't resist him and agreed.
However, the two still sleep in separate rooms.
Solomon was overjoyed that he could sleep with his mummy again.
"Mummy, Solomon wants to go to the hospital to see you, but Grandma won't let me." Solomon nestled aggressively in Eloise Thompson's arms. Eloise Thompson patted him gently on the back and comforted him.
In her heart, she could not help but feel a few moments of loss.
Hector's mother was a tough act to follow.
She can't figure out what she should do to make Hector's mother happy with her and agree to her being with Hector Rogers.
Hector Rogers has done so much for her, and it's about time, too, that she did something for him.
She was determined to do everything she could to improve her relationship with Hector's mother when she had the chance.
She didn't want to put Hector Rogers between her and Hector's mother any more than she had to.
"Mummy, what's wrong with you?" Seeing her sudden moodiness, Solomon thought she was blaming him for not visiting her for the past few days. Eloise Thompson smiled, "It's fine."
Solomon was a little sleepy and lay in her arms, smelling her good smell, and soon drifted off to sleep.
Eloise Thompson helped Solomon pull the covers back on and was about to fall asleep too when there was a knock at the door.
