Love Comes To Me
Chapter 264: She Moves Away

Having successfully resigned from her job, Eloise Thompson called for a taxi and as the driver carried her luggage to the car, she looked at the place where she had lived for several years with sadness.

I don't know how long it will be before I return.

She thought of Hector Rogers, the man who had always treated her gently.

Heart, a dull ache.

"Miss, it's all put away."

The driver's voice rang in her ears and Eloise Thompson raised her lips in a smile, lowering her eyes to hide all the emotion in them as she turned and got into the car. See you soon!

Perhaps, never to be seen again.

The taxi starts and slowly drives away.

A black Bentley drove quickly past the taxi, and if Eloise Thompson looked up she could just make out the man driving the Bentley.

It's Hector Rogers.

But she didn't.

While Hector Rogers looked intently ahead down the road, the two men just missed each other.

...

Hector Rogers stayed up all night until almost dawn when he couldn't hold on to sleep.

By the time I woke up, the sun was already high in the sky.

He was in a state of shock, Eloise!

Unable to change out of yesterday's clothes, he rushed out of the room.

Nearly collided with Rupert Rogers at the stairway.

"Brother, you ..."

Before Rupert Rogers could say anything else, he was running down the stairs like a gust of wind. Rupert Rogers froze, then reacted and rushed after him.

When he chased him out, he saw Hector Rogers driving off in his car.

Rupert Rogers bristled, knowing without asking that his brother was going after Eloise Thompson.

Only, Eloise Thompson doesn't know if she wants to meet his brother anymore.

Hector Rogers always felt distracted and his right eyelid kept fluttering as if something was about to happen.

Last night Rupert said to give Eloise a little time to calm down, so he held back from looking for her.

Now he regretted that he should have found her last night and told her that it was all right, that he didn't mind her past at all. With this in mind, he stepped on the accelerator, his heart desperate to see her, to tell her how he felt.

The black Bentley pulled up underneath Eloise Thompson's place and Hector Rogers got out and ran quickly into the building. Arriving outside Eloise Thompson's house, Hector Rogers tapped on the door, "Eloise, open the door, I know you're in there." There was not a single movement in the house.

Sword brows furrowed as he rapped hard on the door a few more times, "Eloise, it's Hector, will you open the door?" "Young man."

Suddenly, an old voice rang out behind them.

Hector Rogers turned around to see that it was the oldest man living across the street.

"I'm sorry to have disturbed you." Hector Rogers thought he had made too much noise knocking on the door and apologised.

"Are you looking for the girl who lives here?" The old man asked.

Hector Rogers nodded, "Well. Have you seen her, Grand Master?"

"She, ah, moved away."

The old man's words shocked Hector Rogers and he hurriedly pursued the question, "What did you say, Grandpa? She moved away?"

"Yeah, they moved out early this morning."

Hector Rogers sat in his car, still in shock from learning that Eloise Thompson had moved away.

She went to the extent of even moving her home to avoid him.

He laughed bitterly, did she not trust him that much?

"Damn!"

He slammed his fist on the steering wheel, chagrined that he should never have listened to Rupert last night and given her some kind of quiet time, clearly giving her the chance to escape. Suddenly, his mobile phone rang.

It was Rupert Rogers on the phone.

As soon as he picked up, Rupert Rogers' panicked voice came over the line, "Brother, it's bad, my sister-in-law has quit."

Resignation?

Not only did they move, but they resigned.

Hector Rogers had a bad feeling, he hung up on Rupert Rogers and called the hospital.

"Hello, how is Eloise Thompson's mother doing?"

"Just a moment, let me see."

A short while later, the nurse's voice on the other side of the phone rang again, "Eloise Thompson's mother has been transferred to the hospital." "Transferring to a hospital? When?"

"Early this morning."

Hector Rogers' heart sank and he asked again, "Which hospital was it transferred to?"

"That we don't know."

"Thanks."

Hector Rogers hung up the phone and he couldn't help but smile, a smile filled with bitterness; she was trying to leave him for good, wasn't she? What exactly did she take him for?

Can you just leave it behind?

No, he would never allow her to leave like that!

Hector Rogers called Rupert Rogers, "Get on it immediately and replace out where your sister-in-law went, every place at the airport, the station, the train station." Rupert Rogers wanted to ask what was going on, but hearing his tone of anxiety, he didn't.

"Okay, I'm going to check it out."

Rupert Rogers hung up the phone and turned his head to send someone to check.

Clutching the phone tighter, Hector Rogers narrowed his eyes, a gloom in them, he would get her back.

...

Rupert Rogers sent out his men and checked all the airport stations in City J, but found nothing.

It's like Eloise Thompson has disappeared into obscurity.

"Brother, could my sister-in-law have not left at all and be hiding somewhere."

Apart from this possibility, Rupert Rogers could not think of any other.

"All checked out?" Hector Rogers asked.

"Well, we've checked all the stations, big and small, and there's no record of my sister-in-law's travel."

That's why Rupert Rogers suspected that Eloise Thompson was still at City J.

Hector Rogers' gloomy face, his eyes as deep as pools, made it impossible to read his mind at that moment.

Rupert Rogers sighed darkly, how he had not expected things to turn out this way.

If I had known, I should have asked my brother to replace my sister-in-law last night.

However, it is too late to regret it now.

Luckily, his brother doesn't blame him, otherwise, where would he replace a sister-in-law to compensate him?

"Rupert."

Rupert Rogers was lost in his own thoughts when the sudden sound of a voice startled him, "Huh?"

Meeting his brother's sullen gaze, he hastily gathered all his thoughts and said, "Brother, just say what you have to say."

"Did you replace out about the post?"

"It's still being checked. The other guy is a very cunning hacker, and every time he's close to replaceing out, he disappears again, so that all the work done earlier is for nothing." Hector Rogers sneered, "To post something like that means he's familiar with Eloise and, if he's right, should be an acquaintance."

"That's what I thought. I did have someone check in that direction."

"Keep checking, make sure you replace out who it is."

"Good."

Rupert Rogers nodded and suddenly he stood up, "Brother, where are you going?"

Only Hector Rogers was seen heading out.

"Company."

"But you haven't eaten yet."

"Couldn't eat."

Rupert Rogers looked at the meal as it was on his plate and his brow furrowed; it had been a day and his brother hadn't eaten a single grain of rice.

Even if a man is made of iron, he cannot withstand such oohs and aahs.

Worried, he felt that Eloise Thompson was really too ruthless and determined.

It is surprising that they left so completely, without leaving even a trace.

It was pure heart that didn't want them to replace her.

"Damn!"

Rupert Rogers scratched his hair in annoyance; if he couldn't replace Eloise Thompson again, his brother would have to go without food, drink and sleep again. For the sake of his brother's health, he had to replace the man as soon as possible.
