Love Comes To Me
Chapter 290: With me

"If you haven't forgotten, then why did you agree to that girl living here?" Reeva's mother pressed once more.

It circles back to this issue.

Hector's mother pondered for a moment and felt the need to set the record straight.

So, with deliberation, she said, "Firstly, she has done us the Rogers family a favour by saving Solomon; secondly, she is injured and has no one to look after her; and thirdly, just because she is staying in does not mean I am accepting her." "I've said what I need to say, and if you, or Reeva, are still uncomfortable in your mind, there's nothing I can do about it."

For the first time, Hector's mother was bored with them.

She doesn't like nonsense people.

Reeva's mother also sensed that her attitude had turned cold and was aware that she was indeed being a little aggressive.

"Matriarch, I didn't mean anything else by coming here today. I just want you to remember what you said, after all, the relationship between the two families of Jin and Su is there, and it's not good to stiffen the relationship because of an unrelated person."

Was she threatening her?

Hector's mother was upset, but she kept a smile on her face, but it didn't reach her eyes, "I remember what I said, of course. But Hector has his own ideas, and I can't influence him as a mother." The implication is that everything is still up to Hector Rogers and her word doesn't count.

Reeva's mother also kind of understood, a wave of anger blocked in the chest, want to vent but can not vent, can only hold back, still have to squeeze out a smile, "Okay, I know what you mean." "Mrs Jetta, coffee please."

The butler came over with the coffee and handed her the tea.

Reeva's mother glanced coldly at the cup of coffee and finally couldn't hold back her anger and snorted, "Rogers family coffee, I don't think I can afford it."

With those words, she stood up, "I'll go back first."

Without looking at Hector's mother, she turns and strides away.

The butler looked bewildered, "Is this what's going on?"

"It's fine."

Hector's mother rubbed her temples, which hurt a little, and sighed softly, which had offended the Lawson family.

She turned her head to look upstairs and raised an eyebrow; actually, compared to Reeva Lawson, Eloise Thompson wasn't that bad.

At the very least, they know the difference and know how to move forward and backward.

...

Little did Eloise Thompson know that she had, thanks to Reeva Lawson, made Hector's mother feel better about herself again.

She finished texting with Hector Rogers and fell asleep in bed.

"Giggle ..."

As she drifted off to sleep, she seemed to hear the sound of small children laughing.

And it's itchy on the face.

With difficulty she opened her eyes and a small, baby face fell into view.

"Solomon."

At the sight of her waking up, Solomon hurriedly put his hands behind his back and a big smile appeared on his face, "Mummy, you're awake." Despite his quick movements, she caught a glimpse of the flash of red.

Her face just itched, did...

Eloise Thompson thought of something and hurriedly jumped out of bed and rushed into the bathroom.

"Oh my God! What is this?"

At the sight of herself in the mirror, she let out a gasp.

Her face was painted in various colours and looked particularly frightening.

"Solomon!"

She ran out of the bathroom, but Solomon was no longer in the room.

At once, she was neither angry nor unhappy.

She couldn't help but laugh at the thought of her funny face, then returned to the bathroom and washed her face clean. When she came out, Solomon was somehow back in the room.

"Solomon, come here."

She hooked a finger at Solomon.

The latter came over meekly, pouted and said in a resigned manner, "Mummy, don't be angry, okay? I won't dare next time."

Eloise Thompson glared at him in feigned anger, "Don't you dare say that next time. My face is not your picture book, remember, and don't do that again, okay?" Solomon nodded good-naturedly, completely different from the naughty man who had scribbled on her face.

"What's wrong?"

Hector Rogers came to the door just in time to hear Eloise Thompson's words and asked with concern.

"It's okay." Eloise Thompson put her arm around Solomon's shoulders and smiled back.

Hector Rogers walked up to her and his eyes fell on her face, his sword brows furrowed, "What happened to your face?"

It's like it's tinted with some weird colour.

"Didn't wash up?" Eloise Thompson touched her cheek.

"Washed up?" Hector Rogers cringed even more, associating what she had just said to Solomon, and turned a stern gaze to Solomon, "Are you up to mischief again?" Solomon lowered his head and did not say a word.

Eloise Thompson gave him a look and then said to Hector Rogers, "Kids, they're naughty, not to mention him."

Solomon hugged her hand tightly, "Mummy's the best."

"I better, and you're drawing on my face?" Eloise Thompson bent down and gently pinched his cheek.

"That's not painting." Solomon shook his head, "I was helping Mummy with her make-up."

"Yeah?" Eloise Thompson pretended to be surprised, "So it's make-up."

"Well, I want to help Mummy paint it up so I can get married to Daddy and never leave us again."

Eloise Thompson's heart sank when she heard the words.

She turned her head to look at Hector Rogers, only to replace him looking at herself, with eyes that were unusually deep, as if they were hiding a thousand words.

"Solomon," she said with special seriousness as she knelt down and reached out to caress Solomon's little face, "I'm not leaving you guys again."

This promise was also made to Hector Rogers.

Just because he hadn't mentioned his departure in the past week or so didn't mean it hadn't happened.

It feels like a thorn in the heart and it's really hard not to pull it out.

"Pull the hook."

Solomon sticks out his little thumb.

Eloise Thompson grinned and hooked in, "Hang on for a hundred years and you'll be a puppy if you change!"

This reassured Solomon.

Eloise Thompson stroked his head before looking to Hector Rogers and jokingly saying, "Do you want to pull the hook too?"

Hector Rogers' eyes flickered slightly and he said faintly, "I believe you."

No matter what happens, he will always trust her unconditionally.

I believe in you!

The words made Eloise Thompson's nose tingle and she turned her head sideways, wiping the corners of her wet eyes before smiling and saying, "Thank you for still wanting to believe in me." "Of course I believe you." A small smile tugged at the corners of Hector Rogers' lips, and he looked at her with a gaze so gentle it looked like it was dripping water.

Just then, a braking voice sounded in the doorway.

"That... brother, sister-in-law, I didn't mean to disturb you, it was mum who told me to come up and call you down for dinner."

It's Rupert Rogers, speaking with his usual indelicacy.

Eating?

Eloise Thompson got nervous at the thought of having dinner with Hectorâ€TMs father, Kamâ€TMs mother, later on.

"Take it easy."

Hector Rogers took her hand.

She looked up at him.

All I heard him say was, "I'm here."

Three simple words, but they are incredibly reassuring.

She will still be nervous, but she won't show it.

Taking a deep breath, she smiled and said, "Let's go down."
