Love Comes To Me
Chapter 296: Are you lecturing me?

Coming back to Hector Rogers' own villa after almost three months was a mixed bag of emotions.

Eloise Thompson stands in the living room and looks around; nothing has changed, yet everything seems to have changed. Can't tell you how it feels.

"Young lady." The butler came over.

Eloise Thompson's eyebrows twitched at the name 'young lady' and she turned to the housekeeper, "What is it?"

She did not ask the housekeeper to change her title and accepted it quite naturally.

"The young master has explained that you should get some rest and just tell us to do whatever you need to do." "I got it."

Eloise Thompson smiled and nodded her head.

In fact, she had largely recovered, but it was Hector Rogers who was distressed that she had not recovered properly.

She felt like a real pig if she kept resting like that!

...

Before the end of the afternoon, Hector Rogers was packing and organising the papers at hand.

Rupert Rogers, who was lazing around his office, saw it and teased with a smile, "Brother, leaving early to go home to your sister-in-law again?" Hector Rogers didn't pick up on him.

So he walked over to his desk, dangled half his body against it, leaned forward and stared at Hector Rogers with a smirk.

"Brother, since you met your sister-in-law, you seem to keep breaking your own principles... that's not good."

"As the president of the group, how can you take the lead and leave early?"

"Snap!"

Hector Rogers closed the file hard and raised his eyes, his warmthless gaze shooting up to him, his thin lips parting, "Is that a lecture?"

"Of course not." Rupert Rogers gave a cheap laugh, "I'm envious of you, no, I'm jealous. You have a sister-in-law who can be late and leave early, and I'm all alone and have to suffer through overtime and come to you for a lazy day." He said it in a pathetic way.

Hector Rogers snorted, "There's a bunch of girls over at Mom's for you to pick from, so pick one if you're jealous."

"I don't want to."

He was just kidding around before he wanted to get himself trapped so early.

Besides, he'll have to replace his other half on his own, and the gentry's blind dates are unreliable.

Hector Rogers hooked his lips helplessly at the sight of him avoiding him like a snake.

He said he was envious and jealous, but in his heart he still wanted to be single, and there was no one else but him.

"By the way, brother, Layla Davidson knows that her sister-in-law is back and wants to ask if she wants her to go back to work at JS Group."

Back to JS Group?

Hector Rogers sabre-browed for a moment in contemplation and asked, "Have you found the poster yet?" "No."

Hector Rogers' eyes narrowed dangerously, "Rupert, you've been getting less and less efficient lately?"

It's been almost three months of searching and he still hasn't found the person who posted it.

"Brother, you can't blame me for that!"

Rupert Rogers cried out, "Wasn't I so busy trying to replace out where my sister-in-law was that I put this off?"

At the time, his sister-in-law was missing, so how could he have bothered to replace the posters?

"You have one week, and if you can't replace a poster again, you can exercise in Africa."

At this, Rupert Rogers burst into tears, "Brother, how cruel of you to send me to Africa."

"There's only so much you can do if you're not capable."

Hector Rogers glanced at him coolly before taking his coat off the hanger and putting it on.

"I'm going to go back first. There's still a bit of a problem with the development, so you and Thomas Ward will discuss what to do about it." With that, Hector Rogers strides off, ignoring the wails of Rupert Rogers.

"Brother, you've gone too far! I can't believe you're throwing all the work at me! I'm not the president, you are!"

"If you want to be, I can let you have it."

Hector Rogers' words drifted in from outside and Rupert Rogers dared not howl any more.

Joke!

He doesn't want to be the president of anything, it's a lot of responsibility and hard work.

...

Eloise Thompson was reading a book in her study when she faintly heard someone talking downstairs.

She looked up at the clock on the wall, it was almost six o'clock.

Is Hector back?

Just as he was thinking this, the door to the study was pushed in from outside.

She hurriedly looked over, only to see Hector Rogers walking in.

There are no headlights on in the study, only the desk lamp on the desk, which is somewhat dimly lit.

She again nestled in a chair a little way from the lamp and read.

Hector Rogers scolded with a frown on his sword, "Don't you want your eyes anymore?"

Eloise Thompson spat out her tongue and watched him turn on the light before asking, "Why are you home so early today?"

"Come back and have dinner with you."

Eloise Thompson's heart warmed, obviously happy, but her mouth said, "Actually, you didn't have to come back specifically to stay with me, I'll be fine on my own." "Really?" Hector Rogers gazed at her with a sullen gaze.

His eyes were deep as dark pools, as if they would see into the heart, and Eloise Thompson looked away uncomfortably, "When ... of course it's true." "The mouth is the heart."

Hector Rogers laughed softly and came over to take her hand, "Come on, let's go out to eat."

Eloise Thompson froze, "No cooking at home?"

"It's your first day back here and it needs to be celebrated."

"A celebration?" Eloise Thompson couldn't help but laugh, "Even a day like this is worth celebrating."

"Every day with you is worth celebrating."

Hector Rogers turned his head to look at her with a particular depth of feeling in his eyes.

Eloise Thompson's face flushed undeniably and she lowered her head, muttering, "Why are you so sweet now?"

"These are not sweet words, they are my heartfelt words."

Eloise Thompson was even more ashamed to hold up her head and said in a no-nonsense manner, "I know. Let's get going, I'm hungry."

She was afraid that if she stayed any longer, he would say some more affectionate words, and she was really a bit too thin-skinned to resist. Still, the heart is sweet.

...

Hector Rogers took her to the revolving restaurant on the top floor of the prestigious City J Hotel.

From the restaurant, you can look out and take in the night view of the greater part of City J.

"It's beautiful."

As a City J native, this is the first time she has enjoyed such a beautiful night view.

The lights are so bright, like a sky full of twinkling stars, that you can't blink.

The restaurant has a good number of customers, but the atmosphere is secluded, with the lively sound of violins flowing slowly through the air. It feels like the whole person can't help but relax.

"Why did you think of bringing me here?"

Eloise Thompson finally spared her eyes from the window to look at the man across the room.

Hector Rogers gave a gentle glance and asked, instead of answering, "Like it?"

"Of course I like it." Eloise Thompson answered quickly and it was clear that she really liked the place.

Hector Rogers laughs, "As long as you like it."

It's been a long time since I've seen her eyes shining and glowing, so I guess I was right to bring her here. "What do you want to eat?" Hector asked.

"Well..." Eloise Thompson thought hard and then said, "You decide and I trust you."

"I feel greatly honoured to have your trust."

He had a rare moment of skin.

Eloise Thompson couldn't help but laugh and tease, "Hector Rogers, it's not in your nature to say things like that."

He is partial to a single-minded approach and rarely even cracks a joke.

"I'll say anything to make you happy."

See, he's serious about saying such lovey-dovey things again.

Eloise Thompson really couldn't resist and hurriedly changed the subject urging, "I'm hungry, hurry up and serve the food."
