Love Comes To Me
Chapter 413: Then don't blame me for being nasty

Meanwhile, Robbie was sitting in his office, his hand was holding his glass of water, his fingers tapping it bit by bit, while his eyes were fixed on the text message on his phone. The text message was about the Thompson family inheritance, and Robbie hooked his lips in a wicked smile.

I didn't expect this Mr Josh to have left such a secret.

After putting his glass down, he drove straight to the Thompson family, arrived downstairs and dialed Agnes' number.

"I'm downstairs at your house, come on down."

Hearing Robbie's familiar voice, Agnes was instantly too happy to speak and ran straight down.

"Robbie, what's wrong?" Agnes asked, puzzled.

Robbie opened the passenger door straight away, "We're going to replace someone, something to do with the inheritance your grandfather left."

As soon as he heard it was about the inheritance, Agnes was interested too, that money would not have to be so miserable now if he could get his hands on it.

Agnes got into the car and the two of them went to the lawyer's office.

"This is?" Agnes asked, looking at Robbie.

Robbie said, "This is the lawyer, your grandfather's will, he has a lot to do with it, and if he's willing to help, we have at least a thirty percent chance of getting the inheritance."

He reached over with a hand, intending to take Agnes with him.

Agnes' heart was warmed by this gesture and she handed it over to him, and they entered the lawyer's office together.

In fact, Robbie's idea was very simple. Since the lawyer had drawn up the will, he must know the most about it, and as long as he was willing to help, they could replace the loopholes in the will, and then they could replace a way to have it annulled. Although he knew it wasn't very likely that your dad would do it, Robbie felt that if he didn't try, he might not even know if it would work.

Agnes was a bit sceptical by this time too and was busy asking, "Do you think we'll succeed?"

After all, Robbie wasn't completely sure, so he could only say, "Let's go ahead and try, just in case it works."

"But... the lawyer my grandfather hired must be top notch, is it really that easy to nullify after his hands?" Agnes was still unsure, she always felt that it wasn't that simple.

This made Robbie a little unhappy and said bluntly, "What are you doing, you're not even in there yet and you keep backing off, are you willing for that fortune to go to Eloise?"

Of course Agnes didn't, so she stopped talking and followed Robbie into the solicitor's office.

When she arrived, Robbie went straight to where the lawyer was, he had asked around, where the lawyer was, what his name was, all the basic information was clear.

After all, it was the Thompson family's property and Robbie was not in a position to say anything, so he left it to Agnes to ask.

"Hello, lawyer, excuse me, I have a question for you, is it convenient to take a moment of your time?" After all, it was a request for a job, and Agnes learned her lesson this time and spoke in a very appropriate manner.

As expected, the lawyer was a warm-hearted person, and when he saw her ask, he thought she was someone who didn't know anything about the law and opened the door immediately, "Come in."

Agnes thanked her gently and went on, "I would like to ask if there is any way to have a will annulled?"

The old lawyer, who was just quietly looking at his book, suddenly looked up at the question, and with an imperceptible glint in his eyes, said, "There is no need to have a will annulled if one is first in line of succession."

The meaning of this statement could not be clearer, if not, it is better to save one's breath and be greedy for a dead man's money, when it is really mean.

Agnes didn't seem to have thought this through and went on, "What do you mean? Can't I? But it's my own grandfather, can't I get a little bit of the property?"

When she said that, Robbie thought that if it wasn't for the fact that she was Mr Josh's granddaughter, he wouldn't have wanted to bring her here and ask such a stupid question.

The old lawyer seemed to sense what was going on and asked straight away, "Your surname is Thompson?"

Robbie was just about to give Agnes a hint, who knew that she had already taken the lead and nodded her head.

Now even if Robbie wanted to stop it, it was really too late.

"I probably know who you are, you're not welcome here, so please go back." Without looking up, the old lawyer simply sent the guest away.

Agnes hadn't even reacted yet, and when she heard him say that, she instantly lost her temper and said directly, "Why are you like this? You were so nice just now."

When the old lawyer heard this, he simply said, "If I had known you were Thompson family members, I would not have let you in."

Agnes was so angry at the old lawyer's attitude that she could not speak.

Robbie, on the other hand, was much calmer and just heard him say, "Old man, as long as you are willing to do this favour, we are willing to give you a third of the estate in return."

When she heard that Robbie was so generous, Agnes was so shocked that she could not speak and almost jumped over to stop him.

Robbie was just a man of words, and he could not possibly offer such a generous sum.

Instead of being impressed, the old man said, "I don't care if I get a third of it, even if I get it all."

Little did they know that the old lawyer had been close friends with Mr Josh during his lifetime and that the will was in his hands. He knew how Mr Josh felt about Eloise and would not let these two scumbags take away what belonged to Eloise.

For the first time, Robbie came out of the door with an extremely unpleasant look on his face.

Agnes, too, was in no better mood after being disliked by an old man like that, and was even complaining at this point, "What are we going to do when this old thing won't do us any favours?"

Robbie smiled harshly, "If he won't do us any favours, then don't blame me."

The tone of his voice made even Agnes shiver and look at him with a frightened look, as if she wanted to know what he was up to.

Only Robbie didn't tell her.

Robbie had always been a vindictive man, not to mention the fact that this lawyer had got in the way of his fortune.

That afternoon, when the old lawyer came home, something happened.

All he saw was a group of tall bodyguards stopping in front of him, not giving him a chance to escape.

"What do you want?" The old lawyer had always dealt very much with the law and spoke in a neutral voice.

"It's simple, just hand over that will." The one at the head of the group, said indifferently.
