Love Comes To Me
Chapter 426: Personal Interrogation

Aisly didn't sleep well that night.

Although she hadn't ignored the rumours during the day at work, how could she not take them to heart when they were so full of malicious personal attacks? What's more, sooner or later Rupert would be discharged and she would have to stay here for a long, long time.

In the future, all those colleagues would also be looking down their noses, isolated now, and afraid of cynicism later.

For a moment, she wished that Rupert would take her with him, but she knew that this could only be a luxury.

She shook herself, signalling not to think about it any more. The exhaustion of the day weighed down and eventually she fell asleep.

The next morning, Aisly packed up and went to work, and first thing she did, she went to the ward to administer Rupert's medication. She was in a much better mood after a good night's rest.

Rupert still looked bored, and the moment he saw Aisly, he perked up a little.

"I thought you were angry yesterday." Rupert said.

Aisly looked puzzled, "What am I angry about?"

As she said that, she mixed the medicine and then added, "Well, don't say anything, hurry up and put the medicine on."

At the moment Rupert, who was dutifully lying there, frowned and said, "Be gentle."

Aisly was furious at his bitchy look, but in her heart she was afraid he would be in pain.

She gently applied the medicine with twice the care she would have given a normal patient.

Even so, Rupert grimaced in pain, leaving Aisly with no choice but to apply the medicine and blow gently to ease the pain.

As a result, Rupert was still wailing, "It hurts so much, how come I didn't feel anything then and now it's like pulling the skin out."

Aisly had to bring out her professional ethics as a nurse and instructed in a good-natured manner, "That's good to know, but lately, you should not do too much exercise. In case the wound tears, you'll need to go through this pain again." Rupert shivered as he listened and said with a wary look, "So bad. But then again, it seems like I've been really ill-fated lately, lying here in the hospital going mouldy."

Although this was true, Aisly had a little snigger in her heart, and on second thought, realising that this was not quite ethical, she said, "Then get well, and when you do, you won't have to stay here any longer."

Mr Rupert grunted straight and some dude arguments came out of his mouth, "Ugh, just want to get better soon, I miss all those nights out, and good buddies, and pretty cute girls."

He couldn't help but smack his lips at the thought of it, as if he was yearning for more.

Aisly said, "It can't be helped, you can't go anywhere in this condition, so you can only recuperate peacefully and go out again when you're well."

She had said this because she had been quick to speak yesterday and had gone home to reflect on it for a long time.

But today, when she heard such an argument, she still felt sour and uncomfortable.

With this in mind, her hand deliberately pressed his wound a little unconsciously, and Mr Rupert screamed once more.

"Aisly, can you be a little more gentle, I've told you I'm afraid of pain!"

Aisly did not expect to do what she had in mind.

With the perpetrator having fled, Rupert had no choice but to put the gauze on himself with difficulty.

After a while, there was a knock at the door.

Rupert only thought it was Aisly coming over and said with a grimace, "Hurry up and come in."

But when he saw that it was Eloise carrying some food, he immediately changed his face and said with a fawning face, "What has sister-in-law brought me today?"

At that moment, Hector pushed in the door and when he saw his appearance, he couldn't help but tease, "It looks like Miss Aisly has fed your mouth, we've only just come in and asked for good food." Rupert shook his head in disbelief as he saw Aisly running away again.

Hector and Eloise looked at each other and smiled, their minds already clear.

Rupert opened his lunchbox and could not help but praise the delicious food inside, "Sister-in-law is so kind to me, she brought so much good food."

Eloise said, "No, I've brought something for Aisly too, so ask her to come and eat with us."

When Hector saw his face, he knew he was fine, so he pulled Eloise along and said, "Eloise, I think he's having a good time, so let's leave him alone."

After saying this, they exchanged a few pleasantries before leaving.

When they arrived at the office, Eloise went to the department as usual, while Hector went straight into the office.

As soon as they entered the office, the assistant came over and reported to Hector, "Prince, the woman has escaped, but we still have a bit of information, I believe we will replace her soon." Hector nodded at his words and only after a moment said, "Understood, dig up the person and replace her for me."

When he thought of what those people had done to Eloise, Hector wanted to skin them all.

Thomas looked up at him and said, "Don't worry, Prince, Marian has already taken his men over there and we should have the results soon."

After all, he had trained Marian himself, and he trusted him.

As luck would have it, Marian returned in the evening in a blaze of glory.

Seeing her return, Hector's heart was in his throat and he asked straight away, "How did it go?"

Marian nodded, "Don't worry Prince, the man has been brought back and is just waiting for you to interrogate him yourself."

Hector nodded and said straight away, "Come on, let's go over."

All along the way, Hector's face was gloomy and terrifying, just like the King of Hell in the Hall of Hades, so that people didn't dare to come close when they looked at him. Even the woman couldn't help but shiver in fear when she saw it.

Marian didn't even really want Hector to take matters into his own hands, and when she got there, she opened the door and asked, "Say, who is your mastermind behind this?"

The woman still wouldn't relent, at which point Hector said coldly, "You're not going to tell me, are you? Or is there nothing I can do to make you talk?"

When he said this, it was as if he had thrown someone into the ice cellar, and even if the woman was hard-headed, she was still a bit sore and soft. The woman finally confessed, and all fingers ended up pointing at Agnes.
