Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 430: Don't have any more involvement
Only after all those women had left did the ward regain the calmness that it should have had.
The foxes and friends beside her were instantly impressed with Aisly, and they felt that if they stayed any longer, they would also be blown out by Aisly, so they hurriedly made up an excuse to sneak away. Only when everyone had finished leaving did Aisly bring up the meal and said coldly, "The nutritious meal was delivered, I just happened to be passing by and brought it to you."
Seeing Aisly's gloomy face, Rupert shrugged his shoulders and looked at her, "What? Are you jealous?"
Aisly, who had only been sullen, suddenly snapped at his words and said, "Dream on, I'll never like a playboy like you in my life!"
With that, she left in a huff, completely ignoring Rupert's call behind her.
For his part, Rupert was baffled by her reaction.
She had just been fine, but she had suddenly changed her face and said something so serious, which was unbelievable.
However, Rupert couldn't figure out what exactly was the point of her anger.
But again, for some reason, he felt that the meal had no flavour at all.
The more he ate, the more it tasted like wax, and he finally took two bites and put his chopsticks away.
For the next few days, Aisly ignored him, even when he was being medicated.
Rupert could feel that Aisly's movements were not as gentle as before, and was about to repeat the trick of wailing when she simply left.
Not a word was exchanged between the two during the entire session, and over the course of a few days, they could have spoken on one hand.
By the fourth day, Rupert had had enough and sulked, "Aisly, what are you up to these days, do you think I don't exist?"
"No." Aisly remained cold.
Her attitude scared Rupert a little, after all, in the past she had only fought with him when she was angry.
But this was different, she looked as if she was really angry.
"If you're not happy with me in any way, just say so, don't be like that, okay?"
It was a bit of a hot face, but Rupert couldn't care less.
"You are Mr Rupert, how dare I have anything against you."
With that, Aisly had packed up all the medicines and left without saying a word.
Rupert turned his face away, and without a word, just looked out of the window at the tree and stared.
He was not a man who often gave in, and once was his limit.
So these days, the two men stayed together in an extremely delicate relationship.
They saw each other day after day, but did not speak or communicate.
This situation continued for half a month.
This day, not knowing what was going on, the dean himself came over again.
"Dean, am I in a better place now?" Rupert asked tentatively.
He expected the dean to call him impatient, but to his surprise, he nodded in agreement.
"Indeed, I see that your wounds are all starting to scab over, except for the scar on your back, which is almost done, and your leg is much better." Hearing the Dean's words, Rupert was a little puzzled and enquired, "The scar on the back, can it be healed?"
The dean nodded, "It's not necessary to cure it, it doesn't affect your health that much, it's mainly aesthetic.
The plastic surgery department at the hospital can do the procedure, but it is recommended that you don't do it if you can use medicine." Rupert nodded after him, "I understand, thank you Dean, so can I be discharged today?"
"Well, just go straight to the discharge procedure later."
At those words, Rupert couldn't help but feel a little excited.
At last, he was liberated! He couldn't wait to tell the world.
But by the time he tried to say it, he just silently called the family driver.
He suddenly thought that it would be nice if Aisly were here so he could share this joy with her, but the reality was that she wasn't.
By all accounts, she hadn't been here since the medication change yesterday.
It was just a routine change, so what if she would come today.
Rupert himself wasn't in the mood to share his joy with a wooden person.
Probably because the director had said hello to the nurses' station, when Rupert went to check out of the hospital, several nurses surrounded him with a hush. "Mr Rupert, are all your injuries healed?"
Rupert responded politely, "The director himself came to see him, he's fine."
"Mr Rupert, we will not be able to part with you."
Rupert was generous with his words, "Of course I won't miss you either."
Aisly, who was mixing the medicine nearby, heard him answer the nurse's question in this tone and almost dispensed azithromycin as penicillin.
The nurse next to her looked at her distracted look and said with a concerned face, "Aisly, if you're not feeling well, go take a leave of absence, there's no need to hold on." Aisly hurriedly shook her head, "I'm fine, don't worry."
Her mood doesn't detract from the laughter outside as more and more nurses gather around and some even prepare little crafts to give to Rupert.
Rupert naturally accepted their kindness and said he would return the gift when he had the chance, causing the little nurses to blush pink.
Even though Rupert was surrounded by a group of nurses, his eyes kept glancing around as if he was looking for something.
But after a long search, he gave up.
After being discharged from the hospital, Rupert went back to the ward alone, intending to pack up his things and go back.
When he walked into the ward, he was surprised to see Mr. and Mrs. Hector and said, "Brother, sister-in-law, what are you doing here?"
Eloise smiled, "We were in the car when you called the driver, so we came straight over to pick you up."
Rupert was touched, and before he could say anything, he heard Hector say with a dissatisfied look on his face, "It's such a big deal to get out of hospital, but you didn't tell me, and you want to go back by yourself." Rupert was a bit embarrassed and said, "I didn't have time yet, but we can talk about it when we get back."
With that, the three of them walked out together.
Suddenly Eloise stopped in her tracks, as if remembering something, and asked, "Where's Aisly? Didn't she come to work today? Why didn't she come to see you off?"
"She... is very busy, she shouldn't come over, let's go." Rupert was afraid of showing anything different and hurriedly urged.
Although he said so, Eloise always felt something strange somewhere.
But it was between the two of them, so she didn't want to get involved too much, so she pretended she didn't know.
At the moment, Aisly is hiding away, watching them laughing and joking, going downstairs and finally getting into the car.
In her heart, she said silently: "Rupert, from now on we will have nothing more to do with each other.
