Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 436: The Wall Falls on Everyone
Once this statement was made, Josh could no longer refute it.
After all, he was outnumbered and Josh had done so many things that were detrimental to his own interests that it was easy for someone to push him out of office. The walls are coming down.
"In that case, Patriarch Thompson, I see you ..." Cullen stood there, head down and smiling at Josh.
Josh grunted and stood up with a straight face, saying with disdain, "I don't need to be invited, I'll go myself."
By the time Josh stood up, Cullen was finally in the chairman's seat as he had hoped.
"Congratulations Mr Cullen."
All those people ran to congratulate Cullen while Josh was still standing there.
Now Josh was able to see the warmth of the world for a moment.
"Cullen, do you really think you're going to be in the chairman's chair for long?"
Josh suddenly turned to him and looked at him with a stern gaze.
Cullen laughed uncontrollably, "Haha, it's not your turn to say whether or not you'll last.
He finished his sentence and then forced his gaze straight at Josh, saying coldly, "Do you still think you are the Patriarch Thompson who can do anything? I'm telling you, from today onwards, this company will no longer be called Jiang." This added a touch of sadness to the old men who had followed Josh.
After all, they had watched the Thompson Group rise to prominence and now they were watching it fall into the dust, sadly.
But Josh is to blame for all of this, and he is not to blame for his headstrong ways.
Josh felt that there was no room for him in the boardroom at this moment.
It was as if he had lost all his spiritual support in an instant.
This place, where he had spent most of his life, no longer belonged to him.
He even felt that there was nowhere else to go.
He walked silently to the chairman's office, packed up his things, and then drove away through the back door.
He didn't want anyone to see him in such a sorry state.
Although he knew that he would be all over the news tomorrow, he still wanted to save himself one last bit of dignity.
As soon as the Thompson family's story broke, Hector got the news.
Hector raised an eyebrow as he listened to Thomas's report, "You mean Josh has left the company?"
Thomas nodded, "It's true, the Thompson Group has changed hands and he's sneaking away because he's making a fool of himself."
"How many shares does that Cullen have now?" Hector asked, seemingly unintentionally, as he looked through the information.
"There are some other shareholders', and some of the lady's previous shares, which I don't know what kind of tricks he used to transfer them over. With some of his own shares, it's about a forty-five percent holding." Thomas answered honestly.
Hector's hand fiddled with the mouse for a moment. He had never thought that this Cullen would be so powerful as to have taken part of Eloise's shares.
At the moment, Hector looked like he was staring at his computer, but in fact, his eyes were glowing with a terrifying intensity.
As far as he was concerned, Josh was not very good, not very capable, and had almost brought down the Thompson Group.
But he couldn't bear the thought of leaving the Eloise family's company in the hands of a stranger.
In other words, he wouldn't allow it to happen.
If the company was still called Jiang, then Eloise, as the daughter of the Thompson family and with a share in it, would not be eaten up in any way. But once it was in someone else's hands, Cullen would have found a way to remove the Thompson family's interest from the company.
Eloise would then be in a very difficult position at the Thompson Group.
Once Eloise has been stripped of all her interests, she will not feel well.
After all, it was her grandfather's life's work. How sad would she be to see it go down the drain?
Although he could afford to support her, it was her grandfather's legacy and he would never let anyone else take it away from her.
When Thomas saw such a Hector, he was afraid of offending him, so he stood by the side, not daring to breathe.
It was only after a while that Hector said, "How many of those shareholders were trusted by Mr Josh when he was alive?"
Thomas froze for a moment and then said, "There are a few, but the most respected one is Chairman Foard.
Hector frowned, "So he didn't have any objection to the Thompson Group changing hands this time?"
"It's a coincidence that Chairman Foard is old, and he often suffers from ailments, and this time he was hospitalised.
It's a big deal, and when he gets better this time, I'm afraid he'll be too sick to return."
Thomas finished these words in an emotional tone.
After hearing this, Hector hooked the corner of his mouth: "There's no way back? That's not necessarily true. Go and replace some of the older shareholders and ask them about their attitude towards Cullen. I'm sure most people like that just hate Josh and don't really want the Thompson Group to change hands."
Thomas was puzzled for moment and then understood immediately.
"Prince, you are thinking of ..."
"Good, to curry favour." Hector affirmed.
These shareholders, although there were those who saw the light, were mostly young shareholders.
All of those shares were also inherited from their own parents, and naturally they didn't have much affection for the Thompson Group.
Now that they see Cullen's ability, they support Josh's stepping down.
But the older shareholders are different. They were all with Mr Josh when he made his fortune, and now that he is no longer with us, they are even more attached to the Thompson Group.
They were not happy with Josh's spending, but they had no choice but to support Cullen, as it would at least bring the Thompson Group back to life.
After a few days, Thomas came back with a tired look on his face, "Prince, it's all taken care of, after all, Madame is a Thompson family man.
Another of Mr Josh's handpicked heirs, they've heard about it and are all too happy to help."
Hector nodded, no joy visible, "Understood, you've worked hard these days."
Thomas was relieved too, and went back to rest.
Once this was settled, he set about acquiring the shares.
After all, he had to be the largest shareholder in order to take the chairmanship in name only.
Hector also purchased a number of shares through legal means and transferred them to Eloise's name.
He did not buy a large number of shares in one place, but bought them in batches from different people.
He made these moves so quietly that even Eloise did not know about them.
