Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 440: Guess, which side she will be on?
Agnes paused at this point and looked at Arthur's expression.
Arthur sat in the wide boss chair, his expression obscure, his index finger curved and tapped lightly on the desk, his thin lips spitting out a few words, "Go on."
A glint crossed Agnes' eyes as he continued, "So, at this point in time, if someone were to pretend to be Solomon's real mother, there would be chaos over there." Arthur snorted, he had dealt with Hector many times and the man was so calm, almost cold, that it was hard to imagine him in a state of disarray.
"That's your plan, you underestimate Hector."
Agnes laughed lightly, "No, we'll start with Hector's mother, who is dutiful and listens to his mother, and who loves her grandson. If she knew that her grandson's real mother was back, guess which side she would take?" Arthur sat up straighter, that was a bit interesting.
The corner of Agnes' mouth ticked, knowing that Arthur was beginning to have his heart set on it, and it was good to have his heart set on it, just in case he didn't.
"I hear Mrs Hector is no slouch..." Arthur mused.
"There are times when anyone is not so sensible when it comes to their next of kin." Agnes said lightly, ten fingers painted in bright red nail polish, enchantingly delicate. Arthur re-examined Agnes, his eyes clearly searching, he had underestimated this woman. He despised Agnes, but hated Hector with a passion.
If he could make it impossible to turn Hector around, it wouldn't hurt to work with her.
But before that, he wanted to make sure nothing went wrong.
"Tell me all about your plan." Arthur said coldly.
Agnes smiled subtly, secretly pleased, "Mr. Stephen being Mr. Stephen, knows that this alone is not going to bring down Hector, that's a given. there is no way Hector will accept the woman at once, our first step is to get the woman on good terms with Hector's mother. "
Agnes said, smiling smugly, "With a name, she can do a lot of things, like cause some trouble and misunderstanding for Eloise and Hector. There won't be any indestructible relationship in the world, more misunderstandings and the relationship between the two will come to an end."
Arthur looked at Agnes' face and thought that she looked at the moment like a fairy tale witch with a seductive face.
"As Hector grows more and more frustrated, Mr. Stephen, your chance has come."
Arthur looked at Agnes, unruffled, with little expression on his face.
Agnes couldn't guess what was going through his mind, but this was her only chance and it mustn't be missed.
Gritting her teeth, Agnes added, "This plan will work, Hector values his family and is very good to that bitch Eloise. When the time comes, he's bound to get hit hard on both sides, Mr. Stephen, and the only time you'll have to deal with him is when he gets hit hard."
Arthur took some offence at Agnes' obviously demeaning words and a hint of hostility flashed across his face.
Realising that he had said the wrong thing, Agnes giggled and said, "That's not what I meant, Mr. Stephen is open and honest, Hector is just a shady little man. If you give him the chance, he will be no match for you." Arthur smiled and said, "Miss Eloise is very eloquent and very good at kissing ass."
Agnes' face heated up, but she couldn't get angry, so she changed the subject.
"By the way, Mr. Stephen, if you are still unsure, think about Hector's son. I dare say that Eloise is no higher than his son, and as long as he is there, Hector will never choose Eloise."
The whole business world knew that Hector favoured his son, and naturally Arthur had also heard about it.
It was only at this moment that he decided to adopt this approach.
Arthur's office had a large floor-to-ceiling window, and he walked over to it, pulled the curtains aside and the sunlight poured in.
Agnes subconsciously closed her eyes at the first exposure to the strong light, but they still stung and brought physical tears to her eyes.
She had been in the dark for too long to remember what sunlight felt like.
Arthur turned around, and because it was against the light, only a silhouette could be made out.
His voice came out slowly, "Miss Eloise, as you wish, I will arrange a new identity for you."
Agnes was ecstatic, she had done it, she would finally not have to live like a rat in the gutter.
A tear was forced from the corner of her eye, once again, but this time, not from the excitement of the glare, but from heartfelt joy.
Arthur's voice was cold, "I'll give you a new identity, but you'll have to cooperate yourself, and if anything goes wrong again, you don't have to come to me and take it on yourself." Agnes was busy saying, "No, Mr. Stephen don't worry, I will work hard."
Agnes left Stephens Group with her spine straightened.
Her heels struck the ground with a clattering sound like a triumphant queen.
If one ignores her bulging belly and already slightly rich figure.
...
Thompson Group.
Knock, knock, three knocks on the door and Eloise looks up from her papers, "Come in."
Manager Nerian pushed his way in, clutching a pile of papers in his hands.
"Patriarch Thompson, these files need to be checked."
Eloise looked at them, her head spinning; she came to the office every day now, learning how to run the company.
Even though Hector had hired her a great manager, the important decisions still needed to be made by her, the person in charge.
So there are many, many papers to sign every day.
The little person inside Eloise is crying, but keeps a smile on her face.
"Manager Nerian, tough job."
"It's what I'm supposed to do." Manager Nerian said humbly.
After signing the papers, Manager Nerian did not go out immediately, "Patriarch Thompson, there is a meeting at three o'clock with all the company executives, you remember to be there on time." Eloise smiled, "I understand."
After the meeting, Eloise came out a little light-headed.
The secretary brought over the thick minutes for her to look over and she waved her hand, breathlessly, "Put it away for now, I'll read it later."
In fact, with Manager Nerian and the various departmental executives in the company, Eloise was not needed most of the time.
But she is still studying hard, hoping to become a qualified person at the helm one day.
Her greatest interest, however, is still in design.
Even if she is busy managing the company and studying things, whenever she has free time she will design something.
It's a hobby that is engraved in her bones and in her blood.
Eloise revises and revises, and before she knows it, it's time to leave work.
She stretched and glanced at her watch, saying that it was a good thing she was a little late, she would have missed it.
She quickly shut down her computer, grabbed her car keys and drove to Hector's office.
When she arrived at the office, she took out her mobile phone and called Hector.
