Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 456: It must be a mistake on your part
A report that was laid out before Hector.
He deadpans the pro-rights probability above 99.99%...
This means that Juana and Solomon are, almost definitely, related as parents and children.
"Impossible." Hector's voice was slightly hoarse as he looked up at the doctor and said, word for word, "It must be a mistake on your part."
The doctor pushed up his glasses and said helplessly, "We treat samples with great care, which means that if the sample is not wrong, then the result will not be wrong."
The samples were taken by Hector himself, and he didn't think anyone would mess with him on his watch, unless they were too impatient to live.
Hector's voice was tinged with frost, "Can you ensure that there will be no mistakes in the identification process?"
Although the doctor was a little afraid of Hector's appalling presence, he was still bravely defending the hospital's reputation: "Mr Hector, we have done numerous paternity tests and there have never been any accidents, we will not make any mistakes in this regard, you can trust us."
Mrs Matriarch was also shocked and took the results and looked at them again and again, and was silenced when he heard the doctor say that the results could not be wrong.
The only happy person in the room was Juana.
She wisely waited for the doctor to give an authoritative answer before stepping forward and saying in a thin voice, "We have to trust the doctor, who knows more about this than we do."
Mrs Matriarch gave her a complicated look and didn't know what to say.
This result was unexpected and she had some difficulty in accepting it.
Juana doesn't mind either, she already knows that even if the results are put in front of the Rogers family, they won't acknowledge her, she is in no hurry, she takes her time. As long as the outcome was certain, one day the Rogers family would have to accept it.
Juana's head hung low and a flash of pleasure crossed her face.
When he came out of the doctor's office, Hector walked ahead alone, his face cold and his stride so big that anyone could see that he was angry and no one dared to approach him at such a time.
"Wait, Mr Hector, wait a minute." Juana, however, trotted along and managed to tug on Hector's sleeve before he got into the car.
"Mr Hector, the results are in, can I go and see Solomon?" She tilted her face back, her delicate cheeks fully exposed.
From Hector's point of view, it must have looked the most beautiful, and Juana was confident because she had practised in the mirror for a long time.
Hector shook her hand away with a flip of his sleeve, a flash of disgust in his eyes and no half-heartedness on his face, "Money, house, or whatever you want, Solomon, there's no way you'll be allowed to see it." Juana was frozen, not even bothering to commiserate with Hector's shaking off of her hand, but just staring at him in awe.
Ryoga shook his head desperately and muttered, "No, it's not like that..."
The heartbreak on her face was so obvious that a different person would have been heartbroken, except that she was dealing with Hector, so she was never going to see that there was anything but cold emotion. Juana dropped her head quickly, her shoulders twitched and she fell to her knees in tears, "I don't want anything, Mr Hector, I only have one request and that is for me to meet Solomon, I just want him." Hector was oblivious to Juana, who was on her knees in front of him.
Mrs Matriarch walked over quickly, a little helpless at the woman who was moving to kneel, and this was in front of the hospital, if the press had caught it, they wouldn't have known what to say about the Rogers family. "Why are you on your knees again, just talk properly." Mrs Matriarch said unhappily, reaching out to tug Juana, which she dodged.
She hunched her shoulders, wrapped her arms around herself and said desperately, "Mrs Matriarch, how could this happen? You wanted results, I did, I thought, with results, you would reunite me with Solomon, but I didn't think, still no, I don't have money, but I don't care to trade my son for money!"
Mrs Matriarch was sympathetic and couldn't help but look up at her son.
Hector said coldly, "Put away that line of yours, it doesn't work with me, I still say, money, or something else, you choose."
Juana collapsed to the ground in sadness and mourned, "I've been looking for Solomon for so many years, and when I replace him, I have to be driven away in this way, Mr Hector, this is really cruel..."
Such a tone, such words, touched the heart of a loving mother in Mrs Matriarch.
"You're Solomon's mother, at least that's what the identification says, no matter what, that's unbreakable, don't you move so humble, what's it going to look like for Solomon to see that?!" This statement, already biased in favour of Juana. Juana was ecstatic, but her face didn't show it, still looking miserable and miserable.
Hector said indifferently, "Don't be too happy, the results of this test don't mean anything."
"Hector!" Mrs Matriarch called out to her son, gesturing for him not to go too far; this was Solomon's own mother, after all.
Hector said indifferently, "Your origin, information, past, I will investigate, if I replace the slightest falsehood, you know what will happen."
When he finished, he didn't look at Juana again, got in the car, closed the door and simply walked away.
After a while, Mrs Matriarch received a message from Hector saying that he had sent the driver over to pick her up. Mrs Matriarch dialled the number and was startled when she heard the wind whistling on the other side: "Hector, what are you doing?"
"Mom, I know."
Mrs Matriarch, who could not be bothered, sternly instructed, "Hector, you go home properly, do you hear me?!"
"Hmm." Hector hung up the phone.
Mrs Matriarch looked at the black screen of her phone and sighed repeatedly.
Her son is out of her hands.
Turning her face to see Juana standing dumbfounded, Mrs Matriarch became even more annoyed.
Over there, Hector pulled out into the countryside, speeding as fast as ever with the windows fully open, and if those partners at the mall had seen them, their jaws would have dropped.
Isn't this the kind of thing that only a Rogers familyMr Rupert type of character would do, Big Junior, tee hee, that emotionless ice cube, robot, workaholic, would vent to a drag race?
Hector drove out a painful distance, parked the car in a secluded place, got out and lit a cigarette. He rarely smokes, and only lights one when he is particularly bored.
Hector's face was cold as he leaned against the car door, gathering his chaotic thoughts.
He had to admit that he was a bit at a loss as to what to do.
On Juana's side, the investigation had started a few days earlier and the information was already on his desk without any problems.
That's the biggest problem.
The results of today's appraisal were the last straw that broke the camel's back.
