Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 474: Sugar and sticks go hand in hand
David Hockney, the master of his generation, is basically one of those legendary figures that exist only in books or on television and are out of the reach of ordinary people with a ladder. The Maestro is not a fan of electronics, rarely goes online and doesn't take kindly to the online buzz, yet, he's signed up for Twitter!
The netizens thought it was a fake at first, but only after seeing the certification were they completely convinced.
Master David's homepage, just one tweet: "Rogers family little prince is my last disciple, BTW, this is my little disciple's usual practice work." With a picture of a nine-poster.
David Hockney's tweets are as concise and masterful as his temperament.
The netizens clicked on the picture and were stunned that this, this was the work of a five or six year old?
"Mum, I suspect I was born to make up the numbers, little prince Ken please take my knee."
"Kneel down, this stroke, this power, it's more than enough to win a championship, right?"
"Master David said it was just a practice piece, huh, the difference between people has made me despair, the talent of this kid, it's just scary."
When the media reported on the calligraphy competition, somehow Solomon's work was not photographed, so netizens had no idea what the so-called champion's work looked like, but other children's work was available. Coupled with the fact that the marketing numbers took it out of context and bought a large number of water soldiers to carry the rhythm, netizens were left without the ability to discern the difference.
When it is really well written, why are you afraid to even release the work, it is clear that there is something fishy going on.
And now that David Hockney has put out Solomon's usual practice work, the internet is not stupid and the comparison is clear.
It would be really shady if this didn't win the title.
The netizens' faces were instantly hit with a snap, before scolding how hard it was to hear, now there is more regret, some netizens don't know where to pick up the photos of Solomon's interview, a small exquisite Solomon Bay, falling generously standing on the stage, simply little angel himself.
At such a clean and simple face, the netizens felt even more guilty. Such a young prodigy might be the future star of calligraphy, and they, who had attacked him with such vicious words, really regretted their intestines when they thought about
it.
The netizens ran to delete the comments, followed by a flurry of posts in support of Solomon, and created a super-talk with a few pictures of Solomon in it, and his followers were on the rise.
At this point everyone remembered another question, Prince Ken had won the title properly, how come all of a sudden rumours like that were circulating, obviously someone was just leading the rhythm.
That person who hacked him was too hateful to hurt such a lovely baby of theirs, he was just looking for death.
The netizens then turned their guns on the marketing numbers that first brought the rhythm, and they were strong in their battle, changing pieces to take over the comments section of the marketing numbers, and as far as the eye could see, all of them were defending Solomon's words, and those who cursed, in turn, were squeezed to the end.
Eloise sat in Hector's office, keeping an eye on the situation online, and was relieved to see that the situation had changed and that fewer words were being spoken to scold Solomon.
Hector was on the phone in front of the floor-to-ceiling window: "Master David, thanks for this, I'll be sure to bring Solomon to thank you in person some day."
When he hung up, he heard Eloise say, "Hector, it's really thanks to Master David that there are a lot less people calling Solomon names online now, so next time you go to see him, bring something extra."
She also didn't expect the situation to flip so quickly online once Master David spoke out, and had it not been for that, Solomon would have been called out for a long time.
"Um, okay." Hector agreed, sitting down next to her.
Eloise looked at him sideways, "Who do you think did this one?"
"Whoever it is, I'm going to make him pay." Hector said in a cold voice, a stern frown on his face.
He has asked Rupert to check the account that first spread the rumour, only that there are too many people who have since muddled through to replace out for a while.
But he is in no hurry, he is patient.
Eloise did have one person in mind who could target a child like that, unless there was an axe to grind.
Solomon was still so young, surely no one hated him to that extent, and that other person was her, or Hector's, enemy.
This man must have been unable to help them openly, so he hid in the shadows and let off cold arrows.
On Hector's side, there is no candidate for the moment, and beside her, Agnes keeps bouncing around and never stops.
Furthermore, Agnes could not see her well, and to destroy Solomon would be to destroy her, for she would suffer worse than death.
At the thought of this, Eloise had a few certainties in mind.
She spoke slowly, "Hector, I suspect that Agnes did this."
Now that Agnes has not been found, it is not too good to hide in the shadows and let off a cold shot, Eloise states her analysis, "She might use the fact that people are in the shadows to make a move on us, because we can't easily suspect her." Hector's eyes rolled with a depressed colour.
Eloise worried, "She wants to get at me and will never let go if she hasn't achieved her goal, I think she has a back up plan."
As long as she couldn't replace Agnes, her worries wouldn't subside. Who knew when that crazy woman would strike again at those around her?
Solomon, Hector, are the most important people to her, and she can't watch them get hurt. The best thing to do is to replace Agnes as soon as possible.
At that moment, Hector's mobile phone rang and he glanced down at the caller ID with a puzzled look.
"Say." Hector picked up the phone.
Marian's voice came over there, "Mr Hector, I've got news on my end."
Eloise was sitting right next to Hector and Marian's voice was a little too loud for her to hear clearly, straightening up instantly.
Marian continued, "I've tentatively identified the approximate locations she's been in and out of, there's a five star hotel she's stayed in and the surrounding area is where she's been seen more frequently, I'm currently narrowing it down one place at a time and if nothing goes wrong, I'll replace someone soon."
Hector said in a cold voice, "Marian, listen up, I don't care what you do, make sure you bring him back, if he gets away, I'll dock your pay."
Marian on the other end: "..."
"Yes, boss." Marian was bitter inside, but she didn't dare say so.
Hector added, "Triple bonus for you if you catch someone."
With rewards and penalties, Hector is a boss who knows how to use people's hearts and minds, sugar and sticks go hand in hand, by and large.
Marian was visibly happier by a few moments and his tone was much lighter.
Eloise was excited too, she was worried about replaceing someone and Marian's news could not have been more timely, it would have been great to get someone back in one fell swoop.
