Love Comes To Me
Chapter 484: Then you behave yourself

Back in the car, Eloise felt a little bad.

Had she gone a little too far?

Why was it so hard for her to see Josh's slightly bent figure.

Looking at him pleasing himself really overwhelmed her.

Josh did so, rather than scold her, after all, she had gotten used to it over the years.

But now that the identities have been switched like this, Eloise feels like a villain instead.

Hector caught a glimpse of Eloise's face and spoke up to ask, "Eloise, what did your father just say?"

A bitter smile tugged at the corners of Eloise's mouth and she responded with a slight drop of her eyes, "It's nothing, just that he's sorry for what happened before and wants me to forgive him."

As her eyes fell on the pile of supplements Josh had tucked away, Eloise's clear eyes were clearly clouded with gloom.

"Don't you think it's a bit ridiculous that that man, who obviously couldn't even look at me before, now that I'm pregnant, understands fatherly love. He even gave me something, fatherly love, the last thing I ever dared to hope for before." She tried to sound as relaxed as possible, but inevitably took on a hint of sadness.

This self-deprecation only hurt Hector's ears.

Eyes narrowing slightly, he moved over and patted Eloise's hand, rubbing it gently. "Don't talk about yourself like that."

Hector looked over at Eloise, his tone inevitably a little harsh as he thought of Josh.

"The world doesn't apologise and then have to forgive, what he did to you, that's no longer talking about what a father should do. Right now you have me, you have Solomon, and you have the baby in your belly, and that's enough." Hector said dominantly.

His eyes shifted down and his large palm gently caressed the small of her back, soothing her.

Eloise stares for a moment, and then the corners of her mouth gradually spread into a smile.

She placed her hand over the back of Hector's and her heart opened up with a sense of satisfaction she had never felt before.

Yes, she had Hector, and Solomon and the baby, and God had given her the best of treasures.

Other than that, she doesn't need it anymore!

"You're right, honey, let's go home."

Clearing the gloom from her eyes, Eloise stopped dwelling on Josh and smiled sweetly at Hector.

The corners of Hector's mouth rose unconsciously as he nodded his head.

Back at home, the maids gathered around at the sound of voices and someone tried to help Eloise, but was scared off by a look from Hector.

The right arm tightens around Eloise, encircling the person in his arms.

"Take this down." Hector ordered in a deep voice as he tossed the tonic products he was carrying to the servant.

"Hector, Eloise, you're back."

Mrs Matriarch heard the noise and came out to see the pair and was delighted to walk up to them.

His eyes glanced at the maid with the large bag of nutrients and his brow furrowed.

"Why did you guys buy so much too, you didn't even tell me in advance, I just had a bunch sent over from abroad today, I'm afraid I won't be able to finish it."

Mrs Matriarch shook her head somewhat regretfully.

Looking into Mrs Matriarch's disappointed eyes, Eloise immediately stepped forward and said reassuringly, "Mum, we didn't buy these, they're from my father. Just put his away and eat what you bought first, thank you, Mum." Mrs Matriarch was taken aback when she heard Eloise say father, which was a bit of a surprise.

At the end of the day, something comes to mind and there is some apprehension.

A sideways glance at Eloise shows that there is nothing unusual about her face, and that is a relief.

"By the way, is there anything uncomfortable today? The baby didn't bother you, did it?"

Mrs Matriarch quickly digressed, pulling Eloise with her and questioning her with concern.

"No." Eloise smiled warmly.

The thought of the baby in her belly softened her eyes.

A few people stood downstairs for a few more minutes of small talk.

Mrs Matriarch inevitably gets a little excited when she talks about babies, pulling Eloise along to talk at length.

Eloise naturally wanted to look good in front of her mother-in-law and made an effort to accompany the conversation. Hector stood by, unable to intervene, and could only listen.

Neither the mother-in-law nor the daughter-in-law paid him any attention.

As time passed, Hector frowned in dissatisfaction.

Wrapping his arms around Eloise's waist and watching for the right moment, he interrupted Mrs Matriarch at the right time. "Mum, we'll talk next time, we've just got back, let Eloise and the baby go up for a rest."

Find an excuse to plan to take someone away.

"Oh yes, Eloise can't be too tired now, so get Eloise upstairs and get some rest." Mrs Matriarch responded, scrambling to say. Hector nodded and helped Eloise up in the direction of the stairway.

As she walked up the stairs, she kept a careful eye on the ground, afraid that if she wasn't careful, Eloise would step out of line.

He lowered himself and mouthed the words, "Go slowly."

"Gee, it's okay, it's only been a few months, why are you so nervous."

Eloise looked at him with amusement.

She is pregnant, not disabled, it's just a matter of walking up the stairs, no need for such support.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk, look at the way brother looks, those who don't know think sister-in-law is about to give birth."

Upstairs, Rupert, who had watched the scene in his eyes and was now leaning hunched over to one side, couldn't help but speak up and snicker.

At the sound of the voice, Eloise subconsciously looked up and saw Rupert.

Eloise couldn't help but blush slightly and nudged Hector's arm outwards, gesturing for him to let go.

"It never hurts to be careful! Don't pay any attention to that brat!"

Dissatisfied with her movements, Hector brought her up into his arms again, his hands not letting up on the strength.

At the end, he looked up and swept a cold glance at Rupert on the side, who shivered and had the good sense to shut his mouth and make way. Eloise was helped all the way into the room with a red face, somewhat embarrassed to be seen in an intimate moment.

Once inside, Hector was even kind enough to pour her warm water and replace loose clothes to change into.

Massaging her calves in style, I don't know where I learnt the art from.

"Come on, I'm fine, just go to work, I'll be fine on my own."

Pushing the man out of the way, Eloise, fearing he would stay up late dealing with company business again, shoos Hector out the door. "Good, then you behave."

Hector lowered his head, dropped a light kiss on her forehead, straightened up and walked out.

Once outside, I ran into Rupert, who hadn't actually left yet.

When he saw Hector, he smiled at him with an ambiguous face and said in an odd tone, "Okay, be good then~"

"You seek death?"

Hector's eyes swept coolly past, and his handsome face returned to its usual indifferent look, invisible in its intimidation.

"Ahem, just kidding, don't get mad."

Rupert gave a curt thumbs up, "I just wanted to say that you're a passable husband now, old man, and sister-in-law is blessed! And great, too, to have tamed you so... er, I didn't say anything." As he said it, he realised something was wrong and shut up.
