Love Comes To Me
Chapter 487: The person must be uncovered

Mrs Matriarch was angry, but knew her son was right, and she silenced her anger.

After what Eloise has just been through, she would be even more frightened if she knew that someone was deliberately trying to harm her. "Rupert is right, we can't mess around, the most important thing now is to look after Eloise," said Mrs Matriarch calmly.

Mr Fletcher concurred.

The Rogers family discussed the need to investigate the matter thoroughly and would never give anyone the chance to be appeased.

Not far away, Marian listened and a flash of unease appeared on her face.

She bit her lip and left quietly while the Rogers family wasn't looking at her.

The nurse wheeled Eloise out, still unconscious, her eyes tightly closed and her face almost transparently pale.

The hospital had arranged for a quadruple room and Mrs Matriarch took one look at it and was not happy.

It was crowded and too noisy inside, so Rupert was instructed to go and reopen a ward.

Rupert went off in response, and soon returned.

It was straightforward to have Eloise taken to the VIP ward, where doctors are given special care, which is exactly what the Rogers family wanted. Right now, they don't want anything to happen to Eloise.

The Rogers family was at her bedside, looking at her bloodless face.

After Eloise had fallen asleep, Rupert spoke slowly, his voice tinged with a coldness.

"Sister-in-law is at home these days, and what she eats and uses, is all from home, and this abortion pill, too, can only be from home."

Mrs Matriarch was shocked and angry, "How dare anyone in the family set Eloise up?"

Mr Fletcher said in a deep voice, "Knowing people, Rupert is right, the person who is counting on Eloise, is inside the villa."

The family is stunned by this conclusion; if it was indeed the maid who did it, then wouldn't Eloise be in too much danger. They would never tolerate such a person around.

"Well, Dad, Mum, it's really the villa, he can't get away." Rupert said soothingly.

I could see that Mum and Dad were really angry.

It was not just them, even he was furious.

This man has such a vicious heart that he will not be forgiven lightly when he is found out.

Mr Fletcher, Mrs Matriarch felt justified and Mrs Matriarch, unable to wait a moment, turned and headed out the door.

"I'm going back now and I have to replace out who it is."

"Good thing too."

Rupert thought about it and said, "Then we'll go back now."

He was afraid that if he went back late, people would be afraid to drop it or something else would happen.

"Is it okay to leave your sister-in-law here alone?" Mrs Matriarch asked worriedly.

Rupert said, "I'll talk to the doctor and ask them to focus on her, my sister-in-law shouldn't wake up for a while, we'll come over as soon as we replace out." Having said that, Rupert went to the doctor's office.

It was not long before they came out and drove Mr Fletcher and Mrs Matriarch home.

All the way there, Mr Fletcher and Mrs Matriarch were sullen and did not say a word.

Rupert also drove quietly and without much ado. The car arrived at the Rogers family and as soon as Mrs Matriarch entered the house, she called all the servants up. By now it was past ten o'clock and some people had slept in and risen from their blankets.

Neither knew what was going on and were very frightened.

The housekeeper was vaguely aware of this, and Eloise woke up when he was taken to the hospital.

At that time, I felt that things were not too good, but now, seeing this gesture, my heart thumped even more.

Mrs Matriarch's gaze swept over the faces of the servants and finally fell on the butler.

"Mom, let's start with the diet." Rupert cautioned.

Mrs Matriarch nodded, looked at the butler with a blank face and asked, "Who did the cooking this evening?"

The Rogers family has two cooks who usually take turns, and the butler was quick to say, "It's Chef Orlan."

The cook, called Chef Orlan, came out of the servants' column and Mrs Matriarch looked at the man without speaking.

"Who bought the food, where did they get it from and how much is left?"

The butler was sweating, he only knew something was wrong, he didn't think it was so serious, could it be that the young lady was not well?

Not daring to speculate any further, the butler told the truth.

Those mentioned all stood out individually, all with bewildered and unsure faces.

Rupert was beside himself, "Something's happened, so check it out, if you're okay with it then this has nothing to do with you, don't be nervous." At the words, the servants quieted down.

Rupert's eyes swept over them one by one, then moved away without saying anything.

By this time, all the leftovers from the evening were also brought out, thankfully because they were partially untouched and in the fridge.

It was not disposed of. But these are not obvious to the naked eye alone.

But Rupert was prepared for this and told Mrs Matriarch that there was no need to rush, the men would be here soon.

Just then, there was a doorbell outside and four doctor-like men came in.

Rupert exchanged words with them.

The men said, "No problem."

Rupert was satisfied: "Then I will trouble you all."

Plates of food were brought over, and those who came together to appraise them didn't even spare the soup.

The servants had long been frozen in fear at the sight of such a big scene.

Both Mrs Matriarch and Mr Fletcher stared at the doctors, their eyes unblinking.

The men did all the tests, exchanged a few moments, stood up and said, "There is nothing wrong with the food, it is safe for pregnant women."

"Are you sure, doctor, but my daughter-in-law nearly slipped." Mrs Matriarch questioned.

One of them said, "It could be something else, we can make sure there is nothing wrong with this food."

Now the Rogers family are at a loss.

If the food is okay, what else could it be?

"Rupert has your sister-in-law eaten any fruit?" Mrs Matriarch asked Rupert.

Rupert shook his head, "Mum, my sister-in-law ate a dragon fruit, but the doctor said there's nothing wrong with eating dragon fruit."

"What about the water?" Mrs Matriarch was a little anxious.

Mr Fletcher took her by the shoulders and said soothingly, "Don't worry, it will be found out."

Rupert also found it very strange that he thought back over everything and always felt that something was not right.

"Dad, Mom, I got it." Rupert's eyes lit up and he suddenly blurted out.

Mrs Matriarch hurriedly enquired, "What, what did you think of, come on Rupert, don't sell out."

"Bird's nest, my sister-in-law ate bird's nest while none of us did." Rupert said firmly.

Because it was nourishing, the family didn't eat it and left it for the pregnant women. Perhaps it was precisely this love that almost got Eloise killed.
