Love Comes To Me
Chapter 508: The identity is indeed not simple

The call came from Thomas.

Squeezing the phone tightly, Hector walked outside to the balcony and picked up the call.

"Say."

A clear, cold word that seems slightly manic and depressed in the night of the lights.

Thomas could hear that he was in a bad mood and dared not be slow in telling him the information he had gathered.

"President, the identity of the woman you asked to investigate is indeed not simple. We found out that she is the daughter of a foreign JY Group magnate."

"JY Group, the one from E?"

Hector opened his mouth to ask, his brow furrowed.

This group has been in existence for a long time and its reputation has lasted from the last century to the present day, and it is well known both nationally and internationally.

His thin, cool fingertips slid across his lips, his eyes falling into the distance with a chill.

It didn't occur to me that Catherine had such an identity.

Thomas looked at Catherine's illustrious CV and couldn't help but sigh with emotion, "Yes, that's the group, and this Catherine is very impressive in her own right. She has a very high IQ, so she was pulled in by the top brass of the E country to study an aviation project at a very early stage. Very highly regarded by the country, this young girl is really very extraordinary for her young age."

Hector hit the nail on the head when he said, "Heh, it's even stranger that such an extraordinary person comes to our company and approaches Eloise."

"So you're saying that Catherine approached us with an agenda?"

Thomas couldn't help but frown at the thought.

Hector is silent.

Thomas' heart thumped and he immediately said, "President, do you need me to go and feel it out?"

"No, I'll go myself."

Hector's muted voice came through and within seconds, he cut the call.

A woman like Catherine is not something Thomas can deal with.

He can't keep his sanity when it comes to everything that concerns Eloise.

The fact that such an unidentified bomb was lurking made his mind wander.

He stood on the balcony, staring thoughtfully into the night as a cold breeze blew by.

The tips of his ink-black hair swayed slightly, and his obsidian-like pupils, reflected in the light, looked particularly cold, as if something was brewing...

The following day, as soon as Hector arrived at the office, he instructed Thomas to bring Catherine over.

"President, the men have arrived."

Not long after, Thomas led Catherine over and knocked on the door of his office.

"Let her in."

Hector sat with his legs casually crossed and put the papers down in his hands at the sound of a voice.

When he lifted his eyes, there was a little more coldness in them.

"Boss, what do you want from me?"

It was the first time since Catherine had started working at the office that Hector had approached her privately, and there was some trepidation at the moment.

From the way she went to the Rogers familyHector treated her, she could more or less sense that Hector didn't treat her very well.

So, at the moment, they don't dare to get close, they just have to play the role of a company employee.

Hector's thin, razor-sharp lips parted and sharp words spilled out of his mouth.

"Why didn't you say before that you were the daughter of the major shareholder of JY Group." He used an affirmative sentence.

Catherine froze in place on the spot and looked at Hector with a grimace.

"You investigated me?"

The blood faded a little from her pretty face and she looked slightly pale.

"If you hadn't deliberately approached us, would I have needed to investigate you?"

The light in Hector's eyes was stern, locked on Catherine.

From him emanated a majesty that pressed others to breathe.

Catherine bit her lip and replied with a pale face, "I didn't."

"You think I would believe your words? You're working for the E government and you're the daughter of a conglomerate predator, with a status like that, why would you want to come work here?" With a touch of sarcasm, Hector got up and stepped closer to Catherine.

That solemn, cold, hard face sent chills down Catherine's back.

"Tell me, what is your purpose in approaching us?"

Hector stood half a metre away from her, his tall figure looming down, creating a sense of oppression.

There was no way she could lie in the face of such an imposing Hector.

Her body dropped for a moment, Catherine's clenched fists loosened a little and she gave up her resistance, "I didn't mean to harm you, I came here out of necessity."

Catherine looked up, straight into Hector's suspicious eyes.

"Since you were able to replace out that I work for E, you should also know that I am in charge of an aerospace project. This project, in fact, is claimed to be researching space technology to the public, but in reality, the research is about more than that. What exactly it is is a state secret, so I can't say."

Catherine changed her breath, thought of her own experience and continued with a bitter smile, "The research was going well, but some time ago a spy infiltrated the research staff and tried to steal confidential information. Unfortunately, I was in the research room and had a run-in with that person, and although I managed to escape, my superiors decided that E was no longer safe and had to send me here temporarily."

Hector sniffed, his furrowed brow not subsiding.

Thinking he still didn't believe her, Catherine held up a few fingers and said firmly, "I'm telling you the truth, I came over here to take refuge and return the favour in the process. I'm not lying to you, you and Miss Eloise are the only people I know in S. So I had someone in the organisation help me look you up, otherwise how do you think I could have found my way here on my own."

Hector was disgusted by this statement from the bottom of his heart.

He thrust one hand into his trouser pocket and said with a cold expression, "If what you say is true, then all the more reason for you to stay away from Eloise." "What do you mean?"

Catherine twisted her palm and was a little puzzled to see that Hector still had to kick her out.

Hector said bluntly, "If you really want to repay the favour, then stay away from Eloise, you're here for refuge and the gang that's targeting you is likely to be targeting her too."

The implication is that Catherine will bring Eloise trouble.

Catherine flinched slightly, as if the whole thing had been hit.

She stared blankly at Hector, her eyes flashing up with a touch of bitterness.

"You think I'm cold-blooded or heartless, I just want Eloise to be well, and if you understand that, I think you know how to do it."

The coldness in Hector's eyes only dissipates a little at the mention of Eloise's name.

Catherine could instantly see that the man in front of her, tenderness was only promised to one person.

The others were as dispensable as the world to him.

Envy and a sense of helplessness filled the heart.

She sighed and quickly gathered her low tide and nodded gently towards Hector, "I know, I'll resign." Her tone was overlaid with a few hints of loss.

Turning around, he stubbornly tilted his head to keep from looking too pathetic.

The next day, Catherine handed in her written resignation to the HR department and left in style. The HR department was baffled, and after failing to retain them, a wave of regret was felt.

This little tidbit is unknown to Eloise.
