Love Comes To Me
Chapter 510: To be left alive

Eloise inclined her head to ask Marian, "Do you feel like someone's been following us?"

Next to her, Marian had long since stopped in her stride, and her expression was slightly startled when she heard Eloise ask this question. A few complications were evoked in his eyes as he looked at Eloise.

She had actually spotted a group of people following them yesterday.

After all, she was trained to spot it and it was no surprise that she could, but she hadn't expected Eloise to be so sensitive and spot it too. "Well, there is someone, and there should be more than one." She responded coldly and looked in one direction, a wary glint tickling her eyes. The fact that she did not report this to Hector was actually selfish.

Furthermore, she noticed that the other side was not yet about to make a move, so she pressed on.

"What are they?"

At Marian's comment, Eloise's face flushed and goose bumps jumped up on her arms.

"I don't know, I'll walk you back and check it out later." Marian said in a lowered voice, offering to take Eloise's hand and sweeping around warily. She wouldn't dare joke about Eloise's safety after all.

If something were to go wrong with Eloise, Hector would not let her go.

Eloise nodded and followed Marian's lead, walking briskly.

The pace of the two men became brisk.

Seeing this, the group lurking in the shadows consulted and followed closely behind.

The sound of the pace behind them grew heavier, tightly intertwined, and the atmosphere became more and more eerie.

"Oh no." Marian's face turned ugly.

She hadn't expected the group to follow her directly and blatantly.

Eloise's palms also broke out in a cold sweat, and a sense of dread lingered.

She gritted her teeth and told herself not to panic and to stay calm.

"Let's head for a high traffic area, they shouldn't be that rampant yet." She whispered to Marian.

The white face is tinged with a little pallor, but in the eyes, there is a resilient glow.

"Well, there's a junction up ahead in a minute, back home we always take the left-hand lane, turn the corner and I'll count three, two, one, you run to the right, there's a lot of people over there, they might have something to think about, I'll go to the left and draw them away."

Marian glanced back to replace the group in the blind spot of her vision and said in a hushed voice to Eloise, "Take your jacket off and let's change."

Eloise nodded and replaced her jacket with Marian's, saying to her uneasily, "Be careful alone then."

Marian's brisk pace stalled slightly and she glanced at Eloise with an odd expression.

The gang was clearly coming for her, and it was a big heart that she still had the energy to care about others.

She pursed her lips and returned indifferently, "So are you."

Watch as the two figures drift towards the fork in the road.

Marian's expression was stony as his mouth twitched and he whispered, "One, two, three! Run!"

With a slight push of her small arm, she pushed Eloise to her right.

The two men took off at a fast pace.

With her hand on her stomach, Eloise spreads her long legs and runs through the streets.

The group did not expect the two men to run separately.

After a moment's hesitation at the fork in the road, the leader of the group stood for a moment looking in the direction Eloise had left.

By stature, the person they are trying to catch would be this one on the right.

But Marian was wearing Eloise's clothes, which created confusion for a while.

After a moment's hesitation, the man turned back and nodded to the two men, instructing the junior behind him, "You two follow me to the right, the rest go and grab the woman on the left, and note, leave her alive!" He scattered the more numerous group to chase Marian.

He himself ran off to the right with his two minions.

To ensure that Eloise is caught.

And then the man looked in the direction Eloise was running and spotted something. He turned his head and instructed his two boys to chase him from the front, while he himself took a detour and went the other way. At that end Eloise ran, her stomach emitting a vague gush of pain and she wrinkled her nose in pain as she slowed down.

Looking back, he found the two men in black following behind him, their faces turning pale in a flash.

She rubbed her stomach and was about to run on, but as soon as she took a step, she ran head-on into a man.

Subconsciously looking up to apologise, the man who appeared in her line of vision looked at her with a sudden, meaningful smile on his face.

It was so eerie that it made her shiver.

He grabbed her wrist and his mouth grinned, "Miss Eloise, we're going to have to trouble you to come with us."

Eloise's heart panicked and cold sweat broke out on her hands.

She glanced around, contemplating a response.

People passing around were gawking at them strangely.

With a thought, she was about to call for help when her mouth was squeezed hard by the man.

"Miss Eloise, you'd better be smart and come with us, if you piss us off, the baby in your belly could be ..." Eloise's body shook fiercely, anger leaping to the surface when she heard him threaten her with the baby. An icy glint flashed in her eyes as she gritted her teeth and responded, "Got it, let go first."

Seeing her expression of cooperation, the man grunted sullenly and relaxed the strength of his hands a little.

It was at this moment that Eloise's calves built up and she lifted her foot and kicked the man hard in the gut. "Ah!"

A mournful cry echoed through the air.

The man curled up and crouched in pain, his face twisted.

Eloise's kick nearly sent him to his death.

Eloise, meanwhile, had long since seen fit to slip into a side alley.

"Boss, are you all right." The two junior brothers went forward in panic to help the man in black up.

"What the hell are you looking at? Go after her! Lead her into the cul-de-sac!" The two minions were shouted at and obediently ran into the alleyway to chase the man.

Eloise would have just escaped the man's grasp and her six senses had not yet returned to their place.

Her mind went blank inside and her sweet red lips were dripping with blood as she bit through them.

She shielded the small of her back with a death grip and only one thought in her mind.

She can't be caught, she must protect the baby!

However, the more times like this, the less one can think calmly.

The alley, with its intricate terrain and the two minions behind her following closer and closer and shouting at her, was in no mood to judge which way to turn under the double pressure. After seven turns, she was completely dazed and confused.

Running haphazardly into an alleyway.

A few seconds later, her pace hit hard and she stopped in place, the blood in her body flowing backwards.

This turned out to be a dead end!

She turned her back and leaned against the wall, looking almost desperately at the three men approaching her.

There was not a trace of blood left on his face and his whole body was shaking.

"Run, why don't you run, weren't you quite capable just now."

The man she had kicked into gear earlier spat on the ground, pushed the two boys away and came towards Eloise with a grimace on his face.

He was still walking in an odd position because of the previous kick, and with the grimace on his face, it was frightening as hell.
