Love Comes To Me
Chapter 516: A Divine Providence in the Underworld

When it comes to the Thompson family, Eloise can't stop her fingers from twitching. Maryam saw this and took her hand, inquiring, "Eloise, what did he do? You tell me."

Eloise hmmed and said slowly, "The Thompson family wanted to merge with the Gardner family at the time, but all of Grandpa's shares were transferred to my name, so he tried every way he could to get them out of my hands." "How dare he?" Maryam was shocked and angry.

Eloise nods, but her heart doesn't ripple half as much.

Eloise is now numb to the mention of this and just tells it as an ordinary thing.

Maryam was very distressed to hear the words coming out of Eloise's mouth.

There is nothing you can do to help your daughter when she is being treated so unfairly.

Maryam's eyes reddened and tears rolled down her face.

"Eloise, my Eloise, you are too bitter."

Seeing Maryam in tears, Eloise was a little anxious and said, "Don't cry, Mum, it's all in the past, look I'm fine now."

Maryam shook her head, she knew Eloise didn't want to worry herself, so she always talked about these things in a light-hearted manner.

But just because you're doing well now doesn't mean those hurts are gone.

"You don't cry, or I'll cry too." Eloise deflated and said pitifully.

Maryam smiled tearfully as she tried to hold back her tears and said, "Okay, Mum won't cry anymore, let's live well from now on, that man, just pretend you don't know him."

"Nowadays he's miserable too, Agnes is nowhere to be found, Ela has escaped and is in hospital again, with no one at his bedside to look after him."

As the words left her mouth, Eloise felt a little uncomfortable.

Maryam sighed inwardly, knowing that her daughter was actually very soft-hearted and that if only Josh had been a little nicer to her, she wouldn't have hated him so much. Let's just say, that man, is not worth the effort of their mother and daughter.

"Well, it's all in the past, no one can bully you now with Mum around."

With that, Maryam took Eloise into her arms.

At that moment, the door to the ward was opened and Solomon jumped into Maryam's arms.

"Grandmother!"

"Eh, my little boy."

Maryam hugged Solomon tightly.

Along with her came Mrs Matriarch, holding some nutritional products.

When Maryam saw this, she said with a slight sense of reproach, "I've told you, I'm embarrassed that you're always bringing these things when you're here."

Mrs Matriarch smiled and said, "You've just recovered and you need to take care of yourself, so these are just a small token of my appreciation."

"Yes, Grandma, I helped pick out the nourishment that Grandma brought along."

Solomon poked his head out and said proudly.

Looking at Solomon's face, a stirring went through Maryam's heart.

The eyebrows look exactly the same as Eloise's when she was a child, and even the way they act at times is very similar.

It looks like Eloise's own.

Just as Maryam froze, Solomon tugged at her coat.

"Grandma, Grandma and I came to rehab with you tonight on purpose so you wouldn't be too bored."

Maryam sniffed and pinched Solomon's fleshy face and said lovingly, "Okay, when Grandma gets out of hospital, we'll make sure we have a good time with Solomon." "Yeah!"

As a few people talked, the nurse pushed open the door and shouted into the room, "Maryam it's time for rehab."

"Yes, we'll be right over." Eloise responded.

After the nurse left, Eloise and Mrs Matriarch assisted Maryam to the rehabilitation room.

Looking at the apparatus inside, Solomon found it a novelty.

It was a lot of fun touching here and there along the way.

In the rehabilitation room, Dawson was giving instructions to the other patients and when he saw Maryam arrive, he walked towards several of them.

He checked on Maryam's recovery before speaking up and asking, "Why is there something important today? There are so many people here."

Before Maryam could answer, Solomon snapped back, "Of course, we're doing it with Grandma today."

Solomon and Dawson are now well acquainted because of their frequent visits to Maryam's ward.

When Solomon spoke up, Dawson smiled and rubbed the top of his head, then started rehabbing Maryam.

When the rehabilitation was completed, Hector happened to arrive at the hospital and carried Maryam back to the ward.

Tucking Maryam in, Eloise planned to leave.

"Mum, you get some rest tonight and I'll see you tomorrow."

At this Maryam nodded weakly.

Her workout today was much more intense than usual, causing Maryam to be a little drowsy at the moment.

After making sure that nothing was wrong, several people quietly left the ward.

Sitting in the car, Solomon was excitedly telling Eloise about what had happened at school and Eloise was laughing heartily.

Looking at the side of Eloise's face, Solomon's heart couldn't help but feel a little regret.

It would have been nice if he was Mummy's own, but it was not to be.

Eloise, sensing Solomon's low mood since, asked softly, "What's wrong, Solomon?"

Hearing Eloise's slightly worried tone, Solomon said, "It's nothing, Mummy, it's just that I've had such a good day that I'm a little tired." "Solomon can lie in Mummy's arms if he's tired, it's still a long way to go before we get home anyway."

With those words, Solomon crawled into Eloise's arms and snuggled close.

Perhaps truly exhausted, Solomon soon fell into a deep sleep.

Seeing him asleep, Eloise whispered to Hector to drive slower.

Mrs Matriarch watched the interaction between the two with a sense of comfort.

A journey that could have taken ten minutes to reach home was dragged out by Hector into half an hour.

Once the car was parked, Hector took Solomon out of Eloise's arms and walked into the room.

After settling Solomon down, Hector and Eloise emerged from their home once again and casually walked down the street.

Eloise felt blessed by the gentle evening breeze and the sound of cicadas outside the window.

Eloise took Hector's hand and said, "Hector, I'm so happy now that Mum is awake and I have you and Solomon by my side. dad and Mum are so understanding too, I really don't know what blessing I've been given to meet a family like yours." Hector sniffed and left a kiss on her hand as he leaned down and said, "It's called a destiny in the underworld, it was love that brought you to us."

His words were echoed by Eloise, who agreed: "Yes, there's nothing better than having the people I care about by my side these days."

At the words, Hector jerked to a halt and Eloise looked at him with some confusion.

Then a large hand enveloped her in an embrace and gently rubbed the corner of her lips.

Eloise was a little shy when she saw how serious he was.
