Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 529: Taking Him for Yourself
On Hector's side, he returned to his cold demeanour after hanging up the phone.
Catherine couldn't help but be very envious of Eloise, being able to be pampered by a man like that.
People like her, I'm afraid, will have no chance of sweet, sweet love for the rest of their lives.
Hector turned back around and said suspiciously, "You said your brother was from the World Elite League?"
Hearing Hector's question, Catherine first froze, wondering why Hector was so interested in the Elite League.
"Huh? Yes, because the research data, which is very important to the E nation, was coveted this time, so the base had to send my brother back into the Union with the data."
As the words left his mouth, Hector fell into a pensive mood, which was also mixed with a little shock.
The World Elite League, he hadn't heard anyone mention it for a long time.
Because he was once a member there too, it's just that this identity is so well hidden that outsiders don't have the chance to know about it.
Even Eloise was never aware of this aspect of his identity.
Only the top brass of the Union will have the exact list.
Most people who can become NPCs in the League are specially trained, and if that's the case, then Catherine is probably not lying.
After a long moment, Hector spoke, "I will confirm this, but for now I need you to draw the group away, I don't want to put Eloise in the slightest danger."
Catherine nods in agreement, but then, thinking that her own safety is now at stake, she tells Hector her terms.
"Distracting that group is fine, but I also have a condition that you send someone to protect me, that group is so through the roof.
Even if you hadn't told them my location, they would have come to my door in less than three days, and they would have obliterated anyone who had come into contact with me. So I want you to protect my personal safety while I draw them away."
Hector frowned, he didn't want to get involved in this kind of trouble, but thought that if he didn't help Catherine, maybe Eloise's safety would be involved.
"Okay, I promise you, but I'll only give you two days to draw that group away, and within forty-eight hours, my men will be around you. If you haven't lured it away after the deadline, then don't blame me." With those words, Hector simply left.
Catherine watched Hector's departing back and couldn't help but clench her palms.
This man really doesn't care about anyone's business except Eloise's well-being.
I'm afraid he wouldn't even look at himself if it weren't for the fact that he's messing with Eloise.
Catherine actually had a few more little thoughts when she arrived at North District.
It would be a lie to say that a man of Hector's calibre is not impressed.
Coupled with his ability, Catherine was keen to have him for herself.
But what she didn't expect was that Hector would fall head over heels in love with Eloise.
The envy was tempered by the dissipation of the calculations of the heart, and now all that remains is the blessing of the heart.
Looking around the empty room, Catherine couldn't help but feel lonely.
From her childhood, she has been surrounded by an aura of genius and has been raised in the palm of one's hand.
In this way she developed a solitary character and learned how to capture the hearts and minds of men.
Although on the outside she looks easy-going, the untouchability in her bones is still there.
But that pride was shattered when it ran into Hector.
Once out of Catherine's, Hector hurriedly asked Thomas to book the earliest flight back for him.
Hector doesn't want to waste a single second on useless things when his beloved wife is still waiting at home.
It was late afternoon when we returned home.
Hector pushes his way in just in time for the family to have dinner and Eloise is a little surprised to see Hector.
The next second he pounced on me and pouted, "Why are you so late, I asked Thomas and he said you were out of town on business and scared the hell out of me." After all she has been through, Eloise can no longer afford to be frightened.
Knowing that she was worried about herself, Hector smiled and rubbed her hair, saying soothingly, "Don't worry, your husband won't get into trouble so easily."
Rupert couldn't resist interrupting as he watched the two stick together.
"Brother, do you want to come back and be so mushy, let's not let us people eat."
Mrs Matriarch saw this and knocked Rupert's hand, her eyes threatening him to keep his mouth shut.
Solomon also started to hit Rupert and said, "Uncle, if you're jealous, just say so. I think Mummy and Daddy are fine the way they are, I like it anyway."
"Solomon, even you dare to mock me now, see if I don't clean you up."
With that said, Rupert was about to grab Solomon when Mrs Matriarch pinned him down.
After giving him a blank look, he said, "You're a big man and you're still talking to Solomon, if you and Aisly are set. If you and Aisly are set, arrange for us to meet or meet with her mother, it's not a good idea to keep dragging it out like this, it saves you from eating dog food at home every day."
As soon as he heard that a meeting was to be arranged, Rupert beat a retreat, his eyes flickering slightly.
Although his relationship with Aisly is now very stable, he would be a little timid if he were to bring her home.
After all, he is at heart afraid of marriage.
Noticing the look in Mrs Matriarch's eyes, Rupert hastily sat down beside her and said soothingly, "Eh, Mum, I'm not in a hurry yet, am I?
Besides, you've met Aisly and you know what she's like, not to mention the fact that we're about to add another Solomon Bay to our family. I don't have time to worry about me, so I'm not in a hurry yet, let's talk about it in a while." Mrs Matriarch sniffed a bit sharply and pointed at Rupert, "You boy, can a previous meeting be the same as now, it's simply different in nature, and again..."
Before Mrs Matriarch could finish, Rupert interrupted.
"Well mum, you have to lecture me twice just for a meal, it's better to be busy with my brother's business now."
Mrs Matriarch was a little speechless by his comment, hit him and said nothing more.
After dinner, Hector took Eloise for a short walk around the room.
Looking at her growing belly, Hector suddenly felt a heavier weight on his shoulders.
From now on, it's not just Eloise he has to protect.
It is said that a woman is at her most maternal glory when she is pregnant.
Eloise's entire being now fits the phrase perfectly.
Because of her pregnancy, it makes Eloise look softer.
Abruptly, Hector lifted Eloise carefully onto the bed, his ear pressed against Eloise's stomach.
Amused by his appearance, Eloise uttered, "It's not even fetal yet, what can you hear like that?"
