Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 530: Hunted
Hector sniffed and made a silent gesture, "I'm telling him not to mess with mummy or I'll teach him a good lesson when he comes out."
Eloise couldn't help but snort out a laugh at the way he looked so serious.
While the two of them were warming up, Hector's mobile phone rang.
Hector just glanced at it, his breath turning icy cold.
"Eloise, I have some things I still need to take care of, so you can go to bed later."
Leaving a kiss on Eloise's forehead, Hector hurriedly left the room.
Eloise, left in bed, was still a bit unresponsive, how could one phone call make him so anxious?
Does it mean that something has happened?
Eloise hurried to the window and watched Hector's car leave.
The heart can't help but worry.
But she knew there was nothing she could do to help, so she had to pray that nothing would happen.
Driving down the road, Hector called the number back.
"What's wrong? Didn't I tell you not to just call my phone?"
Catherine's voice came from the other side of the phone and said in a slightly urgent tone, "Mr Hector, I'm sorry to disturb you at this late hour. It's just that I'm having a bit of trouble. I showed up in the North District to lure the people around Miss Eloise away, as you asked me to do. But I'm wounded and there's really no way I can escape them, so please help me."
At that Hector couldn't help but frown and said indifferently, "Send me the address."
Catherine hastily sent over her location.
After glancing at the address, Hector's car sped right up to top speed.
Within ten minutes, Catherine was found.
At this point Catherine looked a little worse for wear and was bleeding profusely from a wound in her leg.
The wound was deep and, at first glance, a sharp object had cut it.
Seeing her like this, Hector couldn't help but frown.
With no time to react, he took off his own jacket and put it over Catherine's head and carried her back to the car. After briefly bandaging her, Hector placed the call to Hall.
"I'll take Catherine to your place and get something ready to stop the bleeding."
Before Hall could answer, Hector hung up the phone.
Hall didn't dare to slow down and hastily began preparations.
After a while, Hector arrived at Hall's place.
Catherine had passed out from the blood loss and Hall was shocked to see the blood on Hector's body.
The man was hastily picked up and taken care of.
After treating Catherine's wounds, it was already the latter part of the night.
Hector went back to the office to change the shirt with the blood stains and returned to Hall.
Seeing that Catherine had nothing to do, Hector rested directly here in Hall.
The next day, Catherine woke up to unfamiliar surroundings and was immediately alert.
Just in time for Hall to push through the door and see that Catherine was awake, he said, "You're awake, I'm going to get the prince to come over."
With those words, Hall handed Catherine the warm water in his hand and left.
A short while later, Hector came in, gave Catherine a look and asked coldly, "How did those men replace you last night?"
"I was being followed back to North District and that's how I got hurt." Catherine replied weakly.
Looking at Catherine's injured leg, Hector said with slight regret, "Then for the time being, you'll stay here in Hall to recuperate, and we'll make the next step when you're better."
As soon as Hector's words left his mouth, they were rejected outright by Catherine.
"No, we have to come up with a countermeasure immediately, the gang will soon be checking this place out and it will still be a problem then."
At these words, Hector was silent for a few moments, when a sudden thought flashed through his mind.
"You can start by putting out the news that you intend to sell these research materials, this will draw the attention of those people and will inevitably cause them to scramble for them. It's just as well that we can take this time to wipe them out, don't worry your safety will be guaranteed by me and I will also assist you secretly."
Hector's idea was echoed by Catherine.
But Hall thought of one crucial factor that could affect the implementation of their plan.
He looked at Hector and said worriedly, "Prince, the country is now in a period of consolidation and if there is too much noise, I am afraid it will attract the attention of the police."
Indeed, this is something that Hector hadn't thought of, and it's not really a good idea to make any big splash in the country right now.
Not to mention the fact that the man we met last time was a tricky character.
If he had really caused any trouble, I'm sure he would have been grasping at straws.
Hall suggested, "It's not very convenient to go anywhere now that Catherine has injured her leg, so let's choose a country that's closer."
After thinking about it, Hector said, "Let's settle on Myanmar then, it's kind of a more convenient country for us."
Catherine nodded, she had no problem with wherever it was set as long as someone could keep her safe.
"In that case then, tomorrow I will arrange for someone to take you to the airport and escort you all the way to the designated place, and when you arrive, you will be met." After making all the arrangements, Hector left Hall's residence.
For Catherine's safety, Hector strengthens the pool of people to escort Catherine.
Thomas was specifically instructed to replace a few reliable people to follow Catherine around.
One is for her protection and the other is to keep an eye on her movements.
To be honest, Hector still has some distrust of Catherine.
After all, there are some suspicions about her, so it is better to be cautious.
It was not until the evening that Hector was able to clear his head and return home.
After dinner, Eloise was too sticky to get dressed and went to take a shower.
Hector, of course, didn't want to miss out on the luscious scene and wanted to follow, but Eloise sternly refused to do so.
Hector also had to wait outside the door so as not to upset his petite wife.
Half an hour later, Eloise emerged from the bathroom, wearing a loose nightgown.
This time her hair was damp and still dripping, droplets of water rolling down into her delicate collarbone.
Eloise grabbed a towel and rubbed it haphazardly.
Seeing this Hector went over and picked the person up and sat her cross-legged at the head of the bed.
He himself found a hairdryer and began to blow-dry her hair.
The warm breeze blew against her face and Eloise squinted comfortably as she half leaned back against him. Hector's movements were gentle, his fingers occasionally grazing her scalp, tickling and welcoming.
He was afraid of moving too much and hurting Kagome in his arms.
Hector's soft voice reached her ears just as sleepiness was about to sweep over her.
"By the way, Eloise, there's something I need to tell you, I'm going to be away for a while, so behave yourself at home."
