Love Comes To Me
Chapter 585: You can't just give it away

Rowson thoughtfully took a shirt and draped it over Eloise's body and spoke lightly and asked, "Okay, what do you want to know?"

After wrapping her shirt tighter around her, Eloise said in a slightly tense voice, "Rowson ... I want to know if I really am your wife? And Sweety is she really your daughter... What happened today made me ..." As she said this Eloise's brow furrowed hard, she was now really suspicious.

If the man wasn't lying, it was Rowson who had lied to her.

She just couldn't believe that the man she had spent three years with had relied on lies to keep her by his side.

This is a somewhat despicable approach.

Feeling Eloise's suspicious gaze, a sharp pain shot through Rowson's heart.

Because of that man, she now distrusts him.

It was ridiculous to say that three years of this was all just him deceiving himself and others.

After he slowed down, he looked at Eloise seriously.

"Eloise, you have to believe that you are naturally my wife, there is no doubt about that, and I will always be Sweety's dad, that is something that will not change.

I don't want the harmony in our family to be destroyed because of a few gossips from others, and I'm sure that's not what you want either."

Seeing that he still wouldn't pick a fight, Eloise frowned at him, "I just want to know the truth."

At these words, Rowson grabbed her directly by the shoulders and questioned, "So what if you know? They abandoned you back then, so who are they to replace you back now? With just a few words? Eloise, I'm a man, and equally I'm a doctor, and I know that patients only choose to forget things when they're running away.

You must have been extremely traumatised in the first place to be like that, not to mention are you sure the truth is not cruel? Is the truth always what you want it to be? Eloise think clearly, you are not alone now, you have Sweety, you have me, and even if you can't remember anything, you are still my Rowson's wife."

It has to be said that Rowson has a good grasp of Eloise's mind and knows where she is weak.

As expected, after his persuasion, the look of eagerness in Eloise's eyes to know the truth slowly dimmed.

Rowson does have a point, and Eloise agrees with him.

However, thinking about the way the man looked at her, Eloise couldn't help but wonder what had happened to her and him.

And the reaction of those people, what do you mean she's his lawfully wedded wife?

That little boy, it literally broke Eloise's heart to see him cry.

He gave himself a feeling not dissimilar to Sweety.

There is every indication that she was involved with the Rogers family.

That's what she desperately wanted to know.

With a glance at Rowson beside her, Eloise also understands how much he and the Darlington family have looked after her over the past three years. This... kindness is something she will never forget.

Looking to Rowson with a slightly supplicating gaze, Eloise spoke weakly, "Rowson, I know you're doing this for my own good, but I don't want my memory to be crippled. Otherwise this would really cause me pain for the rest of my life. I think you understand, how can a person talk about being a normal person if his memory is incomplete? I promise you that if they really did hurt me, then I will leave with you and live a real family life, and I will never speak of what happened here again.

So please give me a chance to get in touch with my past for one chance, I don't want to leave any regrets."

As she spoke Eloise had tears in the corners of her eyes and Rowson could not bear to see her in tears.

Went to replace a hanky and gently wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes.

Would you have come with me if they hadn't hurt you, Rowson thought bitterly in his mind.

Seeing a look of hesitation in his eyes, Eloise grabbed Rowson's hand straight away and continued, "Rowson, I'm sure you saw the little boy too.

His cry of mummy seemed to pull me back in time, that mummy sound was familiar to me and if he really was my child, I could never leave it alone.

Please understand what it's like to be a mum, I really don't want any of my children to be strayed or to lose their mother's love."

Seeing the look in Eloise's eyes, Rowson just couldn't resist.

Her tone, her begging, softened his heart.

Staring into her eyes for a long time, Rowson compromised.

Taking the crying woman in front of him into his arms, Rowson said helplessly, "Eloise, I really can't do anything about you, since you want to know the truth, I will accompany you to replace it." Eloise was all smiles when he said yes, and she hugged Rowson back tightly, mouthing her thanks.

Rowson laughed too, at his own stupidity in answering her request so easily; he really was in love with this woman.

Patting Eloise on the shoulder, Rowson said thoughtfully, "Well, you've had a long day, so get some rest and I'll help you guys pack up and go."

"Okay, Rowson, you get an early night too."

Eloise finished and lay down. Sweety was asleep by this time, with a small smile on her lips, as if she had dreamt of something beautiful.

Rowson tucked them in and stayed in the room for a while longer before returning to his own room.

He stands in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the entire North District.

This is where she used to live and where she is bound.

Was it the right decision to promise her to stay or not?

Rowson himself doesn't know.

If she got her memory back and turned around and went back into the arms of that man, what should he ...

The thought of such a situation scares the hell out of Rowson.

Putting down his glass, Rowson dialed a phone number.

"Do some research for me on Hector and Eloise in the North District and what exactly their relationship was before, the sooner the better, preferably by tomorrow morning."

"I'll do my best." A sentence came out on the other side of the phone before hanging up.

Rowson couldn't help but clench his palms; he couldn't bear the thought of Eloise leaving his side.

Three years he hadn't made his feelings known, he couldn't just give it away!

It was a sleepless and anxious night for him.

Unlike the anxious situation on Rowson's side, Eloise slept well.

In her dream she saw the figure again, this time his face was no longer blurred, it was clear as day.

His eyebrows, his smile, everything was so familiar.

The man in the distance is holding her favourite flowers in his hands.

He held out his hand and Eloise walked straight towards him without the slightest hesitation.
