Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 624: Taking Sweety Home
Ten minutes later, Hector and Solomon appeared in front of Eloise.
Looking at the sudden flash of father and son, Eloise froze in place for a moment.
As Solomon's leg was not yet well, Hector got him a child's wheelchair.
Sweety looked at the father and son duo with an excited look on her face and extended her hand towards Hector.
After taking Sweety, Hector spoke, "Since my aunt is now ill, I'll take Sweety."
Before Hector could finish, Eloise refused, "It's okay, Sweety I'll just take care of it myself."
But Hector was insistent, "Now that Auntie Fu still needs your care, how will you have the time and energy to take care of Sweety again?"
Stuck speechless by him, Eloise turned her face away.
Hector continued, "Eloise, you don't have to carry everything alone, you have me, don't worry, there's a nanny and Solomon at home, Sweety won't suffer." At the words, Eloise raised her eyes to meet Hector's.
There was a look of heart and worry in his eyes for her that Eloise could not resist.
Only to nod and agree to his proposal.
Getting up and stroking his daughter's hair, he looked over at Hector.
"Do you have anything for girls at home? If not I'll get a package from the same city courier."
When she agreed, Hector turned the little girl in his arms upside down and Sweety burst out giggling and going to grab his hair.
He patted the back of Eloise's hand with a caressing touch and a hint, if anything, of intimacy that made Eloise feel like she should withdraw her hand.
But Hector moved even faster than she did, and in a flash he was posing as if nothing was wrong.
"We have everything at home, if we don't have it we can just buy it again. sweety is coming home with daddy tonight, we'll say goodbye to mummy."
The man coaxed Sweety as he returned Eloise's words and turned away, Sweety buried in his shoulder and gave a little wave to Eloise.
In a flash, it disappeared around the corner of the stairs.
The three of them went downstairs to the parked car and Hector put the two children in and fastened their seat belts before getting into the driver's seat himself.
Sweety was a sitting duck though, and after clapping hands with Solomon in the back seat for a while, squirmed around and tried to slide out of the seat and try to get to Hector's side.
Hector glanced through the rear view mirror and was taken aback, hastily reversing the steering wheel to slow the car and speaking out in time to say, "Solomon, hold your sister, Daddy's about to turn." Solomon was happy to do a little something for Hector and without saying a word pulled Sweety straight back in.
To deflect her diversion, Hector smiled and spoke, "Well, it's only a good boy to sit at the end of the line, what would Sweety like to eat today? Daddy's treat."
Children who are only a few years old have no resistance to food.
Sweety had been thinking about it for a short while and was already salivating so much that she could hardly wait to name a series of dishes.
Cocking her head, she said, "I want to eat fried chicken and fries, but Mummy always says this is unhealthy and rarely gives them to me."
Hector's mouth quirked slightly at his words and he said in a matter-of-fact way, "And what else did Mummy say? Our little princess doesn't look like such a good girl."
Sweety was very unconvinced and said, "Sweety is not, Sweety is very good, when we are at home, Sweety is afraid that Mummy is too tired to cook, she even hides her pots and pans."
Seeing the little girl's man-child look, a small smile passed through Hector's eyes.
Stopping at a traffic light, he continued, "Sweety's so thoughtful of Mummy, so where's the pot hidden?"
Sweety heard and tried to remember and said somewhat pathetically, "It was hidden in my little wardrobe and when Mummy found it. I was punished for not being able to eat the bear biscuits at night because I had stained a white dress." The way her mouth was puckered, Hector thought his daughter was so cute.
But it is true that such behaviour cannot be praised.
Or else one day his car keys might be hanging from some dog tag by Sweety, or in a bird's nest in a tree.
A Sweety may not do it, but add a Solomon ...
Hector was slightly melancholy, these two little living creatures were the ones who could do anything.
After a few more minutes of driving, we finally reached our destination.
During this time Solomon sneaked two jellies and slipped them into his sister's hand.
Hector looked on and said nothing.
On arriving at the house, Sweety made her way inside in a familiar manner.
She remembered that her dad had a huge playroom at home with more fun things than she could count, and had been thinking about it for a long time.
The little shorty was backing up fast, with Solomon limping after Sweety.
Hector slowly and methodically takes off his suit and removes his tie.
He went to the fridge to replace a cut-up lemon and ordered the maid to prepare some small desserts before heading upstairs.
As soon as he entered, the sound of two children's laughter immediately filled his eardrums.
Sweety nodded at him and waved her hand again.
Hector found it amusing and asked, carrying the tray, "Do you want Daddy to come in and play with you or not?"
Sweety, who by now was holding a ball taller than her person, heard Hector's words and climbed down in a hurry.
In a delicate voice, he said, "This is the puzzle room my brother and I built, and if Daddy wants to come in, he has to take off his shoes."
Hector scanned around and sure enough, he saw a number of large spongy cartoon puzzle mats.
It's just that the two children don't spell it very neatly, it's crooked, some of it doesn't even line up, and it's shoved hard and squeezed into the other two pieces.
He laughed for a moment and took his shoes off to come over, but then he noticed his feet slipping and nearly fell on his heels.
Pulling back to look, it was a dozen colourful glass beads, scattered.
Solomon the frog hopped over and counted seventy-three on his lips as he gathered those beads into the box.
The box, however, was half broken, so Solomon was dropping it as it was being loaded.
Sweety followed suit from the sidelines to help.
Hector found it very gratifying to see the two children getting along so well.
But it's good, it's the two kids that are a bit of a pain in the ass ...
Hector sighed out a second sweet sigh of anguish and sat down cross-legged on the floor to play marbles with Sweety and Solomon.
The two children are at full attention on the ground, sticking their tongues out at each other as a gesture of friendship.
Sweety played with it for a while and went to look at Hector's hands, long and wide.
It was like a mountain to her tiny eyes.
She put her little fleshy hand up against it and said in a milky voice, "Daddy, your hand is so big, it's like... it's like ..."
But it couldn't replace the adjective and got stuck for a while.
Solomon took over for her and said, "Just like those big hands of Rudra in Journey to the West!"
"Right!"
Sweety clapped her hands in approval.
The siblings then cooed and giggled again, almost like two happy little yellow ducks.
