Love Comes To Me
Chapter 637: Marrying Rowson

Before he could touch Sweety, though, there was a sudden, stern scolding from Solomon behind him. "Stop! Don't you touch my sister!"

Turning her head, she saw Solomon with a water bottle in his hand, running quickly towards her.

stepped in front of the little girl, glaring at her warily.

"What do you want?"

Marian was embarrassed by the defensive look in her eyes, not expecting Solomon to be so defensive.

She said stiffly, "Didn't want anything, just wanted to have some fun with her."

"No need for you, I'll just keep my sister company, you go down."

Solomon balked, looking at Marian with a hint of hostility in his eyes.

He didn't like this aunt under Daddy.

He had also heard Rupert unwittingly mention what had happened back then.

Although I know I can't blame Marian, I still blame her in my heart.

Combined with a child's temperament, there was not much goodwill towards Marian and it showed straight away.

"Let's play over there, sister, while brother shows you the other toys."

With that, he took Sweety by the hand and led her away from Marian.

This action fell on Marian's eyes and heart.

The expression was sombre, the fists clenched tightly.

Anger leapt to the forefront of her mind and she looked at Solomon and Sweety, her expression turning grim.

What kind of ecstasy did Eloise give the Rogers family, father and son, by giving birth to the exact same daughter as her? Both the older and the younger one charmed the two?

At the time, Eloise and Rowson were on their way to the hospital.

Having spent two days with the Rogers family, Eloise doesn't know much about Mrs Darlington's current situation.

While in the car, she tilted her head and asked Rowson, "How is Mom doing now? Surgery? What's the word from the hospital?"

Rowson rested his hand on the steering wheel and sniffed, his eyes changing slightly, tinged with a slightly darker colour.

"He was awake briefly the day before yesterday and the treatment sort of worked somewhat, but he soon fell back into a coma. The doctor said this kind of surgery is inherently risky and told us to prepare ourselves mentally." Rowson's tone was covered in deep concern.

Eloise listened on, her fingertips rubbing hard at the corners of her coat, and also fell silent.

The guilt under his heart grew, and his eyes were slightly downcast with a melancholy expression.

If something were to happen to Mrs Darlington during her surgery, there would really be no way she could face the Darlington family again.

After all, Mrs Darlington was trying to protect Sweety when she was killed.

The atmosphere became frosty for a moment.

The two men didn't talk much on the way.

On arrival at the hospital, Mr. Darlington Sr informed them that Mrs Darlington was awake and could be seen.

Rowson and Eloise hurried over.

Pushing the door open, I only saw nurses surrounding the ward, asking questions about something.

Mrs Darlington was lying in a hospital bed, her eyes slightly open and her white eyeballs slightly rolled out.

The hair was also shaved off for the open-heart surgery a little later.

What was once an elegant middle-aged woman now has nothing but weakness in her body.

She struggled to breathe, the oxygen mask attached to the mouth of her nose, which was hazy and foggy.

Meet Rowson and Eloise and gasp with some excitement.

The fingertips twitched slightly, even as the body twitched.

The nurse rushed to hold her down and instructed Mrs Darlington not to be too anxious.

"Take your time, don't rush."

After Mrs Darlington had calmed down a little, the nurse said to a worried Eloise and Rowson, "You can talk a little. Don't let the patient get too emotional and in thirty minutes, you can go in for the operation." Rowson and Eloise nodded and stepped forward to stand in front of Mrs Darlington.

Mrs Darlington's lips mumbled a tiny sound.

"Mom, what do you want to say? Don't rush, take your time."

Rowson bent down and came up to Mrs Darlington, straining to hear what Mrs Darlington was saying.

"Th.... Th."

After a moment, Rowson spat out the words he heard.

"Your mother meant for Eloise to come along and speak to her." Mr. Darlington Sr explained in an aside.

Rowson sniffed and understood immediately, giving up a bit of his spot next to him.

Eloise rushed forward and took Mrs Darlington's hand in hers.

"Mom, I'm here, what do you want to talk about?"

There were tears in the corners of Mrs Darlington's eyes as she looked at Rowson and then at Eloise, her eyes mourning.

She knew full well that she was in a precarious position and that it was not certain that she would make it out of the operating theatre. "I... have ... a... wish."

Mrs Darlington stared at Eloise's face, struggling to articulate what she wanted to say with a pained expression.

Eloise's eyes were moistened and her heart was sore as she watched Mrs Darlington like this.

She nodded heavily, "Go ahead, I'm listening."

Mrs Darlington suddenly lifted her hand and moved Eloise's hand onto the back of Rowson's.

Her eyes moved, and at the end, pale, she said, "I wish, you, could, marry Rowson ... so that I could die with peace of mind."

As the words left her mouth, Mrs Darlington's eyes slipped into tears.

Upon joining her words together, both Rowson and Eloise in the ward were stunned in place.

Mrs Darlington's last wish, surprisingly, was that they should get married.

Rowson was the first to react and he couldn't help but frown as he looked at his own mother and said, "Mum, you don't have to do that." The tone is somewhat anxious.

When he finished, he swept a glance at Eloise next to him, and his heart sank as he saw the difficult look on her face.

Although he could understand his mother's intentions, he did not want to force Eloise to stay with him in this way. That was a win.

"Eloise, don't take it personally, my mum she's not very sober at the moment."

Rowson spoke nervously.

Mrs Darlington, who was lying in her hospital bed, listened with some exasperation.

A large amount of mist emerged from the oxygen mask and the heart rate went up a lot at once.

There is a sense of hatred.

She sighed heavily, her own son not being angry she had to turn to Eloise.

"I mean it ... Eloise ... you might ... promise me?"

Hearing such a request under these circumstances, Eloise had a violent feeling of being pushed into a corner.

If anyone else had said that, she would have flipped out.

But at the moment Eloise is in a quandary as she looks at Mrs Darlington's pleading face.

Somehow, Hector's cool face flashed through my mind.

The heart is slightly touched.

What would happen if she got married and he found out?

After all, she has not yet figured out her relationship with the Rogers family, father and son.

The heart didn't want or want to marry Rowson in this way.

But at that moment, faced with the plea of a dying man, her refusal was in her mouth and she could not say it.

Seeing Eloise's hesitation, Mrs Darlington urged her again, "Eloise ... please say yes ..."

The anxiety in his eyes was obvious.

"Yes, I promise you."

Eloise gritted her teeth and finally nodded stiffly.
