Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 638: No news is the best news
After she nodded, Mrs Darlington in the hospital bed smiled with relief.
She rubbed Eloise's palm and blinked her dry eyes with satisfaction, a look of no more regret.
Eloise, on the other hand, was uncomfortable, and she pulled a stiff smile in response to Mrs Darlington.
Underneath, the mind has long since become a tangled mess.
Next to him, Rowson saw this, and knew better than to rejoice, but nevertheless gave birth to a hint of pleasure.
Knowing this situation, Eloise was forced to do so, which is why she verbally agreed to her mother.
It is not certain whether he will marry him in the future, but now it is satisfying just to hear it.
"What else does the family have to say quickly, we're about to have an operation."
The nurse came over to inform again.
Mrs Darlington sniffed and looked at Rowson and said to him, "Rowson, the family heirloom ... is at my bedside... you remember to give it to Eloise. "
The heirloom in Mrs Darlington's mouth is a symbol of the Darlington family's successive generations of daughters-in-law.
Eloise would be a true daughter-in-law of the Darlington family if she wore this.
Eloise, on the other side of the room, heard the word heirloom and opened her mouth slightly to say she didn't want it.
But seeing Mrs Darlington so excited, there was silence.
"Got it, Mother." Rowson responded obediently.
In this way, everything went Mrs Darlington's way and she closed her eyes in satisfaction.
Eloise was the only one who couldn't be happier.
Soon the nurse and doctor came over.
Mrs Darlington was transferred to another vehicle and wheeled to the operating theatre.
As Mrs Darlington went in, Rowson and Mr. Darlington Sr, as family members, also signed a consent form for the operation.
The red light soon came on in the operating theatre.
The large inscriptions of the operation in progress are a sight to behold and a source of uncertainty.
The three men waited outside the operating theatre, one more stony-faced than the other.
The air was silent and deadly still.
No one knows which will come first, death or luck...
Little by little, the time ticked by between her fingers, and there was no movement at all in the operating theatre where Mrs Darlington was staying, giving rise to a growing sense of unease. Rowson paced outside the door, walking around with an increasingly anxious look on his face.
Eloise, not feeling well either, went over to Rowson and said soothingly, "Rowson, sit down and rest, you've been like this for three hours."
Mr. Darlington Sr saw this and chimed in, "Eloise is right, just sit tight, no news is the best news right now."
The head of the family, after all, has been through a lot and is in a much more composed state of mind than Rowson.
With those words, Rowson sat down, looking anxious, arms crossed over each other, staring intently into the operating theatre.
At that moment, a nurse suddenly rushed out of the operating theatre, looking panicked.
The clothes were splattered with bright red blood.
The faces of the three men seated in the chairs suddenly changed in alarm, and they tried sharply to ask what was going on inside.
The nurse, however, had no time for them and rushed back after frantically running out to get a large bundle of tourniquets.
The door to the operating theatre was slammed mercilessly.
This little episode scared the three men directly outside the door.
The look on the nurse's face just now was enough to indicate that the packing process had not gone very well, or at least that the situation should now be critical. Rowson's just-quieted mind was suddenly set on a huge tide.
Eloise also twisted the corners of her coat nervously, as if her breathing had slowed down a lot.
The air around us is oppressive.
This atmosphere was maintained for another three hours.
The lights overhead suddenly changed colour.
The three of them scuffled up and gathered around the door of the operating theatre.
The doctor in the green scrubs came out immediately afterwards.
Rowson rushed forward to stop the doctor and asked, "Doctor, how is my mother?"
Eloise swallowed hard and also stared intently at the doctor, her heart pounding.
The doctor removed his mask and his stony expression sent a shiver down all three men's spines.
But then a smile suddenly broke out on that solemn face.
"Don't worry, the operation was successful, the next step will be to check the patient when he wakes up."
At the words, Eloise almost went limp to the floor.
From the clouds to the earth, the heart that hung in the air finally fell and blossomed with joy.
"Great, thank you so much."
Mr. Darlington Sr froze for a moment, reacted and thanked the doctor in a hurry.
Eloise's eyes couldn't help but redden slightly, covering the corners of her mouth as her insides thrashed. Thankfully, Mrs Darlington was fine.
Not long after, Mrs Darlington was wheeled out of the operating theatre.
The three men followed closely behind and followed to the ward.
Eloise also came forward to help, following the nurse around and carefully noting down some contraindications.
Rowson, seeing that Mrs Darlington was still asleep, asked, "Nurse, when will my mother wake up?"
"The anesthetic hasn't worn off yet, don't worry, it's normal."
After adjusting the IV tube in Mrs Darlington's hand, the nurse turned to leave.
At the nurse's words, Rowson's tense expression relaxed completely.
Seeing the weariness on his brow, Eloise came up to him and said, "Rowson, why don't you and Dad go home and rest, and I'll keep an eye on Mum, and I'll call you when she wakes up." Rowson listened and agreed, and after a moment's thought he nodded his head in agreement.
It's true that he hasn't had much rest in the last few days.
Eloise was in the best of spirits of all of them and was best placed to stay and look after Mrs Darlington.
That evening Rowson and Mr. Darlington Sr went straight home.
At her bedside, Eloise stayed awake all night, watching Mrs Darlington's changes.
Eloise was cleaning Mrs Darlington's arm early the following morning when Mrs Darlington woke up.
Looking at each other, Eloise was surprised for a moment, then immediately ran out to call the doctor over.
The doctor and nurse arrived shortly afterwards and examined Mrs Darlington thoroughly.
On questioning by the doctor, Mrs Darlington clearly identified who Eloise was.
Now she is in good spirits, except for some physical slowness.
After a series of cross-examinations, the doctor smiled at Eloise and said, "The operation was indeed a success, so the next step is to rehabilitate and recuperate and you will recover." Eloise sniffed, and a smile finally appeared on her face, and she was busy thanking him.
And at the other end of the estate, there was laughter.
Sweety couldn't be happier with the Rogers family these days.
With Hector and Solomon clinging to them all day long, the trio's bond couldn't help but grow a little deeper.
On this day, Hector was working in his study and on the other end of the video was Thomas and several executives.
He was ordering something when, at the door, the little girl and Solomon burst in.
Solomon stood next to Sweety, a leather strap clutched in his hand, with a depressed look on his face.
The little girl was still holding a doll in her arms, her hair was in a mess, and she was running towards him with a bitter face and short legs.
Hector subconsciously bent down and picked her up.
"Daddy..." the little girl murmured vaguely. Murmured the words.
