Love Comes To Me
Chapter 654: The World Comes Crashing Down

"So you want to see this, Solomon has seen this too, Mummy looks great in it, let me open it for her."

Solomon said, excitedly flipping open the two little red books and handing them to Eloise as if they were treasures. Licking her dry lips, Eloise lifted her eyes to look over.

With just one glance, she froze in place.

Upon seeing the woman in the one-inch photo, it was as if a thunderclap had struck my heart.

She panicked at once.

There is no mistake that the person in the photo is indeed her, the appearance has not changed at all.

The difference is that the woman snuggling up to Hector is smiling and has a happy expression on her face. So, she really is Hector's wife?

Eloise's fingertips were trembling and her mind suddenly went blank.

Three years of perceptions were pushed. Overturned, the world came crashing down.

The heart was in a panic.

Not knowing how to face this truth, she saw the confusion as she got up sharply and stumbled towards the door.

"Mummy? Where are you going?"

"Eloise!"

Behind them, Solomon's and Hector's urgent voices came in quick succession, but Eloise was deaf to them and just kept running.

There was only one thought in mind, to get away from here.

The back just looks fallen and looks woefully out of place.

Eloise returned home in a state of turmoil.

Just after taking out the key, the door opened from the inside.

Rowson was apparently on his way out the door when he saw her stop and was surprised, "Eloise, you're back."

Eloise nodded, said nothing and crossed over to Rowson and went straight into the house.

By the time Rowson closed the door, Eloise was no longer in the living room and he went to his room to look for the sound of water coming from the bathroom. Rowson leaned in the doorway, knocked and called out, "Eloise?"

"Well, I'll wash my face."

Eloise's voice came out mixed with the sound of water.

Rowson was inexplicably a little disturbed by the look on Eloise's face just now, which looked a little worse for wear.

What happened, did it have anything to do with him?

She was inside for a good ten minutes or so before she came out and saw Rowson waiting just outside the door, a flash of discomfort in her eyes. "How are you... doing?"

"Let's talk."

Rowson pulled her to sit down in the living room and Eloise sat up a little nervously and asked, "What's the talk?"

Seeing that she was not looking well, Rowson went to pour her a glass of warm water and looked her up and down worriedly.

Apparently he had heard about the party, "Are you okay, where did you get hurt?"

With that, he leaned in.

Eloise unconsciously stepped back a little, pulling away from the two men, mouthfuls of refusal.

"I'm fine."

Rowson paused, a glint of loss in his eyes.

Eloise has always been a bit repulsed by his proximity, which he used to think was fine, but now they are both almost married. Is this too rusty?

Thoughts turned in my mind, my mouth said, "I'm a bit worried, can you show me the injury?"

Eloise tugged at her skirt and subconsciously said, "It's really fine, it's been medicated." "Oh."

Rowson responded with a muffled sigh.

Eloise glanced at him, trying to say something, but in the end nothing came out.

The two sat for a while before Rowson seemed to gather himself and asked again, "What the hell happened, I see you look bad." There was also a preoccupied look that made him a little uneasy.

At this point, Eloise's mind was filled with Hector's words.

We're married, so you can't marry Rowson or you'd be committing bigamy.

"Eloise?" prodded Rowson again as she was lost in thought.

Eloise stared into Rowson's worry-filled eyes and finally spoke.

"Rowson, we can't get married."

Saying this, she had a surprising feeling of relief.

Rowson's scowl, instantly, changed.

All these days, it's been fine, so why the sudden reversal of fortune. "For ... what?"

Rowson enquired with difficulty, his voice hoarse and low.

Eloise is wearing a nicely textured dress and sitting sideways on the sofa.

With her head slightly bowed, the thin lines of her exposed flanks are unmistakable and inspire compassion.

Her long eyelashes lowered, covering her brimming, clear eyes.

Rowson's grip tightened involuntarily, his eyes fixed firmly on Eloise with tension and resignation in them.

Eloise bit her lip and lifted her head, a hint of confusion crossing her eyes.

"Because I learned something today, that Hector and I, are legally married."

Rowson froze as well when the words left his mouth.

She and Hector, surprisingly, were already married!

No wonder Hector kept on chasing after him, but there was this connection, but so what?

Eloise doesn't remember Hector now, and between the two of them, it's just wishful thinking on Hector's part.

A marriage certificate can only represent the past, nothing else can explain it.

Rowson quickly straightened out the relationship and spoke again with a few moments of confidence.

"Couples who have been legally separated for two years can automatically end their marriage."

Rowson calmly offered.

Eloise did not speak.

Rowson took her hand in his, in a much better mood than he had earlier.

He had decided that Eloise was bothered by bigamy and not simply not wanting to marry him, which made him happy.

Eloise pulled her hand out without moving and excused herself to get a glass of water, saying covertly, "Yes, is that so?"

"Right."

Rowson didn't care, saying firmly, "That's the law, you've been separated for over three years, you qualify, and it doesn't affect our wedding." Eloise held her glass of water and sipped it slowly.

Rowson added, "So don't think too much about it, just wait for the wedding in peace."

But there was little joy on Eloise's face as she sat in silence. There was little reaction to Rowson's words.

Rowson couldn't help but feel a little anxious, his usual gentle countenance almost untenable, and flat out more than a little scornful.

"What, you don't believe me? Then you can get advice from a lawyer."

Having said that, he pulled out his phone and really intended to replace a lawyer to ask.

Eloise pressed his hand to stop him from moving, "I believe you."

Rowson breathes a sigh of relief.

Who knows, Eloise came back with, "But the situation you're talking about requires a mutual agreement, and as long as one party doesn't agree, it doesn't stand." Rowson froze, forgetting that Hector had refused to let go until now.

And as long as he doesn't say yes, Eloise can't marry him.

For the first time, Rowson had an urge to punch someone.

Eloise was also feeling tired and she got up and said to Rowson, "I'll go to my room."

When he had finished, he went into the room and closed the door.

Rowson was left sitting in the living room for a long time.
