Love Comes To Me
Chapter 682: Just thought we could work together

"No, that's not the point! The point is when you're going to bring your sister-in-law back."

Rupert forced the conversation around to keep the day from dying.

Thinking of his plan, Hector was in a few moments of cheerfulness and said mysteriously with hooked lips, "Soon." Rupert was dismayed that Hector was smiling in a way that was clearly not his usual self.

His brother hadn't seen this look on his face before.

Unable to understand what Hector meant by "soon", he pressed the issue, but Hector would not answer.

Curiosity was fully aroused and Rupert's heart felt like a kitten was living inside, scratching restlessly.

But Hector clearly wasn't going to tell him.

Rupert rolls his eyes and formulates several scenarios in his mind.

He said to himself, "Little man, if you don't tell me, I'll figure it out myself.

Hector then went back to work and the Rogers family went to the playground with the intention of having a good time.

It was well into the evening before the guys came back from outside and Solomon was so excited throughout that he couldn't stop talking on the way. After dinner, Hector sent Solomon upstairs to rest.

Walking to the stairway, Solomon suddenly stopped and looked up at Hector.

"How does Daddy plan to catch up with Mummy?"

Hector looked down and met the eyes that bore a slight resemblance to his own.

He raised an eyebrow and asked instead of answering, "Do you have a solution?"

Solomon's dark eyes rolled around a few times and he wrinkled his nose.

"No, but I can help you if Daddy wants to go after Mummy."

Amused by Solomon's words, Hector's eyes took on a playful look as he enquired, "How are you going to help?"

"I can stop Mummy's marriage to that uncle."

With those words, Solomon lit up his little fist like a little adult.

Hector rubbed Solomon's head and said in a light voice, "You don't need to help with this, I can do it myself."

"So what can I do?" Solomon had a torn look on his face.

Glancing at him, Hector seemed unable to look at his small frame.

After thinking about it, flicked Solomon's forehead, "You just need to keep in touch with your mum."

Noticing the intense distrust in Hector's eyes, Solomon puffed up and turned around.

"Oh, I'm going to bed then, I want Mummy to be able to read me a bedtime story every day."

Hector responded, "Will do."

Over here news of Eloise and Rowson's marriage next month has reached Marian's ears.

Marian jolts to her feet, spilling wine from her glass all over the table, but Marian couldn't care less at the moment.

Did God help her?

Because of Agnes' failure, Marian lost a useful pawn.

She grinds her teeth with hatred for Eloise, but never replaces the opportunity to strike again.

As long as Eloise is married to Rowson, she is no threat to herself.

At this point Marian couldn't help but dismiss the idea of getting rid of Eloise and had an idea in mind.

The atmosphere in the Darlington family has been very delicate over the past few days, with Rowson avoiding Eloise on purpose ever since.

The Darlington family senses something, but Rowson and Eloise won't say anything, so they have to pretend they don't know.

Rowson took a call, spoke to Mr. Darlington Sr, Mrs Darlington and then grabbed his coat and headed out.

On this day, Rowson's friend asked him to go to an upscale entertainment venue for a night out.

Upon arriving at the entertainment venue, Rowson said hello to a group of friends.

Order a low proof bottle of wine and pour it into a glass, one after the other.

"Young Fu, do you look like you have something on your mind?"

My friend was a discerning fellow, and when he saw Rowson arrive, he poured wine and didn't say much, so I guess he was in a bad mood. Men are in a bad mood because of women, money, cars and so on.

Rowson has no shortage of money, and his family has a garage full of limited edition sports cars.

So it is probably possible to guess what he is doing it for.

Pouring Rowson a full glass of wine, he then said in an old-fashioned tone, "Don't be sad, come on, drink more, there's nothing that drinking can't fix." Rowson laughed and said helplessly, "There are some things that drinking can't really solve."

A burning sensation came from the bottom of the stomach as the strong wine went down in one glass.

Not intending to get drunk in a place like this, he got up after a few drinks and went into the toilet.

Unscrewing the tap and wiping it with a wet paper towel, Rowson woke up and threw the used paper towel in the trash.

Before he could get back to the box, Rowson was stopped halfway by someone, a stranger.

Rowson frowned as the man got straight to the point.

"Mr. Rowson, there is someone who wants to see you for a moment and would like you to come over."

Tugging off his tie, Rowson unbuttoned the top two buttons to clear his head a little.

"Who wants to see me?"

"We'll see when we meet you." The waiter replied politely.

Rowson, not in the habit of meeting random strangers, frowned and refused, "I'm busy, I don't have time."

He pushed the waiter away, intending to go back to his original box.

The waiter shouted anxiously from behind Rowson, "The boss told me to tell you that if you want Eloise, she can help you."

At the sound of Eloise's name, Rowson was on his feet.

Turning to look coldly at the maid, the temperature under his eyes disappeared instantly.

"Where is your lady? Lead the way."

The waiter led Rowson to a room on the third floor, where a woman with delicate eyebrows sat.

The woman had a striking look and a good figure, but an uncomfortable air flowed from her brow. Rowson surveyed her without moving, standing in the doorway with no intention of sitting down. "Tell me, what is your purpose and why do you want me?"

Marian had researched Rowson before he arrived and knew what to use against him.

"Mr. Rowson, first time meeting, my name is Zi, I heard that Mr. Rowson is getting married to Miss Eloise next month."

She didn't spill her real name straight away, after all, it was just a collaborator.

But Rowson doesn't show the slightest hint of it.

"That's right, so what can I do for you, Miss Azi?"

"I'm sure you don't want your wedding to be ruined." Marian said slowly.

Rowson frowned and gave Marian a cold look.

"I don't think there is any need for us to continue our conversation if Miss Azi says these offensive words again."

Marian was in no hurry; since Rowson was already here, he would not leave easily.

There's nothing wrong with getting to the point early.

"Sorry Mr. Rowson, please excuse me, I didn't mean anything else, I just thought we could work together?"

"Cooperation?" Rowson sneered.

He and this woman were meeting for the first time, he couldn't even speak of trust, and he didn't feel they could work together. "Mr. Rowson, I can hold off Hector for you and make your wedding go off without a hitch."

Marian was the first to throw out a decoy and waited for Rowson's reaction.

"Oh?" Rowson came interested.

Mockery flashed in his eyes, "Who are you to do that? Do you have that strength?"
